I read an article a few weeks ago about the large numbers of arms missing from Ukrainian depots, long before the current issues there. Thousands of arms, AK's, LMG's RPG's and the ammunition for them just could not be accounted for.

Ever wonder where all those arms in the hands of Middle Eastern, Western backed "rebels" come from - Afghanistan, Libya, Syria....etc...etc!
It wasn't so very long ago that Ukraine was known, and reported to be, by the very same MSM who now put them on a pedestal calling them a democracy and victims, as the most corrupt nation in Europe! Lots of shady dealings and not outside the realms of possibility that their US overlords had those weapons sent to other proxy forces elsewhere, or corrupt senior brass just sold it all to pad out their hidden personal bank accounts.

They never did get that "missing" $5.5Billion back from Igor Kolormoisky, Zelensky's richest backer and bestest buddy!

Why would Russia give these weapons to the scumbags they are fighting in Syria?

Any proof they are going to syrian rebels and not assad?

Ive been banging the black market weapons angle, since the beginning.

As for arms going to Assad or those fighting him, once they hit the black market, weapons and ammo can end up anywhere, the highest bid or best recent offer wins affiliations be damned, or that's my limited understanding.

It isn't a coincidence that in the movie Lord of War with Nicolas Cage was written with him being Ukrainian and going to Ukraine to buy tons of weapons.

With delivery around the country and the world: how Ukraine sells NATO weapons on the darknet

July 1, 2022 09:34

As RT found out, the unprecedented supply of foreign weapons to Kyiv led to the formation of illegal marketplaces in Ukraine - sites on the darknet where you can find an ad for the sale of the Javelin anti-tank complex or advanced Phoenix Ghost loitering ammunition. RT contacted the sellers of unique goods and offered to make a deal.

On one of the Ukrainian illegal online sites visited by RT as part of the experiment, offers to purchase foreign weapons with delivery across Ukraine and even abroad have recently begun to appear frequently.

This is not only about light small arms: the assortment includes, for example, Javelin mobile anti-tank systems supplied to Ukraine by the United States and its allies as part of various military aid packages.

But not only that. They are ready to give into private hands, for example, the latest American drone Phoenix Ghost, the so-called loitering ammunition, developed in the United States specifically for the needs of the Ukrainian military.

RT was able to contact anonymous Ukrainian arms dealers and order the purchase of Phoenix Ghost complexes, as well as a batch of American M18A1 Claymore anti-personnel mines, which also appeared on the lists of weapons supplied to Ukraine.

As follows from the correspondence, Phoenix Ghost drones are offered for $4,000 apiece, but it is no longer possible to purchase mines. Delivery is carried out through a system of certain caches, and not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in other countries.

RT suggested that gun sellers indicate the account number of the crypto wallet to which money should be transferred to purchase the Phoenix Ghost. As it turned out, payment could be made directly on the marketplace, which acts as a guarantor of the transaction. The sellers confirmed their readiness to place the ammunition in the cache after payment and report its coordinates.

In the course of further correspondence, we asked the Ukrainian arms dealers if they could deliver the Phoenix Ghost to the territory of Poland - for example, to the border town of Przemysl. As it turned out, this option is possible, however, for an additional fee of $1,000.

Delivery to Poland, by the way, with such a not too high price for transportation may indicate that illegal traders have established contact with border guards. The cache itself, as it turned out, is just a “dig in the forest” with the coordinates of the place and its photograph. As emphasized by the seller, the scheme will be similar to that used in the transfer of drugs.

On the same online platform, RT spoke with another seller under the pseudonym weapons ukraine. He sells American body armor - $ 1.5 thousand per batch of five pieces. The assortment also includes American M4 rifles with a silencer and a hundred rounds of $2.4 thousand per set.

In addition to American weapons, weapons ukraine offers a variety of old, often still Soviet weapons - various modifications of Soviet hand grenades, pistols, AK assault rifles and even Dragunov sniper rifles for $3.6 thousand each, plus two clips of 50 rounds in addition.

If suddenly Phoenix Ghost does not suit you with something, this is not a reason to be upset. In the Ukrainian darknet, you can also pick up its closest analogue - the Switchblade drone in the 600th version. You can buy for $7 thousand apiece, but the seller has only two sets left.

The Switchblade 300 modification is already offered cheaper - for $4,000. Three kits are available.

You can buy a lot of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers from the same seller. In particular, the famous British NLAW ATGM is offered for $15,000. But the German Panzerfaust 3 costs only $670 apiece.

Needless to say, the offer of less advanced weapons on Ukrainian illegal marketplaces is even more diverse. In particular, on one of the relevant portals, automatic rifles are offered for purchase - copies of the AK-47, under its own cartridge, as well as various modifications of the classic American M-16 automatic rifle, including one of the latest - Brownells BRN-180.

Ukraine has sold two French-donated 155mm Caesar howitzers to Russia

Jul 5, 2022

French and Ukrainian [from Donbas] sources claim that in the hands of the Russian army, and more precisely in the production workshops of the Russian manufacturer Uralvagonzavod, there are two 155mm self-propelled howitzers Caesar, donated by France to Ukraine, as military aid against the Russian invasion on February 24 this year.

On June 20, French lawyer Régis de Castelnau wrote on his official Twitter account: “Another success of Macron: 2 French Caesar guns were intercepted intact by the Russians. They are currently in the Uralvagonzavod factory in the Urals for study and possible reverse engineering. Thank you Macron, we are paying”.

A few days later, on June 23rd, the Russian company [Uralvagonzavod] responded to the French lawyer, through its official Telegram profile and citing Régis de Castelnau’s tweet, writing: “Hello, Mr. Regis. Please convey our thanks to President Macron for the donation of the self-propelled guns. This material is of course not tip-top… not like our MSTA-S! But nevertheless, it will be useful. Send more – we’ll take them down.”

Ukrainian sources from Donbas claim that they are also aware of this case, but not from the French lawyer or the Russian plant, but from French military sources, emphasizing that the online publication Donbas Insider does not cite who exactly the French military sources are.

The news of captured weapons would not surprise anyone in wartime. We have witnessed the Ukrainian and Russian military capturing various enemy weapon systems. But the same “unidentified” French sources claim, according to a Donbas Insider, that the two Caesar self-propelled howitzers were sold, through an intermediary, by Ukrainians to Russians. The price, which is being discussed in tight circles, is $120,000 each. BulgarianMilitary.com recalls that the unit value of a Caesar self-propelled howitzer varies around the amount of 7 million euros.

A political analyst at BulgarianMilitary.com says that the possibility that the two howitzers were sold to Moscow is evident in the tone and ending of French lawyer and politician Régis de Castelnau’s words. “It is very clear to him [the French lawyer] that during the war, in addition to prisoners of war, the adversaries acquire different foreign equipment. This is war, some die, others abandon their positions out of fear, and others profit from the war. The end of the comment “Thank you Macron, we are paying’ suggests that Régis de Castelnau believes that the two howitzers were not abandoned and therefore captured, but sold. The irony is too strong in this particular case to ignore this fact”, says Dr. Sebastian Levi, correspondent, and analyst of BulgarianMilitary.com for the Middle East region.

Levy also says that he believes the two self-propelled howitzers were resold with the help of an intermediary, a military dealer. Levy, however, has no evidence for his claims but refers to his league reasoning.
