Fact is they are making it clear what the assault weapons ban in the US would mean. It means should a government go rouge or do a policy you as a citizen wont like you wont have the rights to resist.

Also they already banned the assault weapons.

At the end of the day, something very significant has to be done about this… who’s seriously going to argue with that?

I mean, those poor kids and the families that had to endure this loss… it’s just fricken devastating beyond comprehension!

You just have to see some of the pictures of some of those kids to know they were happy thriving individuals with there whole lives ahead of them.

But that was all cut down short… simply because some mentally unstable pos had legal access to something he should’ve never had access to.

I know what you guys are all gonna say too… well if it wasn’t with the big black scary looking gun, then he would have just done it with something else… right?

But the point is he didn’t! The pos didn’t even have the audacity to attack his own grandmother, until he had one of those so called ‘big black scary guns’ in his possession.

And I mean seriously, all it would of taken is for him to have needed to be in his early 20’s to pass a background check. By his early 20’s a person like that would most definitely have a documented trail of domestic violence, or of just being extremely mentally unstable and would’ve never passed the back ground check in the first place.

I don’t see any rational reason how anyone could disagree with that… he should have never been allowed to buy those weapons as a 18 year old.

Anybody remember that time a few hundred people trespassed into the Capitol Building and broke a few windows because they didn’t want Joe as the President? The whole world pretty much crapped their pants on the spot because they thought this was it.

Ban all the guns. Put the bill on Joe’s Desk. Let him sign it. See what happens then. Bet the whole world definitely craps their pants then. And then just keeps on crapping.

He , and All Adults and Minors should NEVER be Allowed in the Future After Legislation is Passed by Congress to Purchase those Non Hand Gun Weapons as a 18 year old without First being Physiologically Evaluated by a STATE Sponsored Psychiatrist Before he would be EVER Licensed by the State to Possess a Personal Firearm . Legislation like that in Some Form Could Reduce the Instances of Mentally Disturbed Individuals from Committing these kind of Heinous Acts .

Anybody pushing an emotions-based law obviously has never paid attention to the number of bad laws that got passed because "we have to do something". (or the ever popular think of the children)

we have 20k+ different gun laws in this country another law will do NOTHING till we address (borrowing from the lefts own dialogue) the root cause.

Try to understand/fix the mental health problem, fix the education issues, broken homes problem, social media wrecking the mental health of our children, pretty major problems that are much more the cause of mass shooting than an inanimate object.

eta: Also, since its Memorial Day remember, members of the federal govt have already labeled veterans as the most likely candidate to be a domestic terrorist, and the VA loves to try and pry out how many guns you own any knee jerk emotional response is probably going to screw over the people that survived the last 20 years of war.

Relying on the police is the mistake - recall that in the Texas shooting, the cops did nothing while the shooter was shooting outside, before he entered the school and murdered kids. Shooter was not killed by cops but by an ARMED border patrol agent.


Conversely, just a few days ago, instead of waiting for the police to arrive, a woman with a concealed carry license in West Virginia acted fast to stop a crazed man with an AR-15-style rifle who was about to kill dozens of people at a graduation party. Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives
