Multiple European Countries Joining NATO

Multiple European countries are looking to join NATO , Among them Finland and Sweden . This is pushing Russia further and further into a corner and they are threatening Military action.

The thing is though Russia is talking tough but can they back it up ? Things are not going well in Ukraine at all at least that is the way it seems , and now Russia is threatening other European Countries with military action . I'm afraid Russia is biting off more than they can Chew , and of course they are making Nuclear threats.

Now usually I would just see Nukes as an idle threat but now I'm not so sure , is Putin desperate enough to start dropping nukes along his neighbors borders ?

Is this really the beginning of WW3 , I'm not one for doom porn but I must say the battle lines seem to be drawn and countries are picking sides . Russia flexed there military might on Ukraine and Russia fell flat on there face so now the Neighboring countries that once stayed in line out of fear are seeing Russia as weak .

Are the USA and China eyeing Russia as a wounded animal ripe for the taking ? Perhaps that was the plan all along to take Russia and cut her up exploiting the massive resources horded with in. The Change of power is hear and once the Dust settles our World will be forever changed.

russia should have probably expected some of it's other non threatening neighbors would suddenly want to join a defensive alliance as a result of seeing what russia is doing to one of it's non threatening neighbors.

RuSSia threatens its neighbors about joining NATO after it invades one of its neighbours... Neighbours all turn around and ask to join NATO...

This has been happening for a month or so now but honestly, wtf was ruSSia expecting to happen?.. maybe if they threaten nukes again like they do every other day it might just work this time... promise.

RuSSia has literally justified NATOs existence... through its own actions.

Finland is about as good of a pickup as it gets. They put more into defense than a vast majority of countries. Couple that with compulsory service and continuing training after service.

And while the circumstances don't make this a celebratory occasion as it does add to tension, it's gotta make China think twice about any malicious future plans they have outside their sphere of influence down the road.

Russia can't take too many on at once, but China could down the road... Though, the latter has been calmer in projecting than the former in recent history.

Why would they nuke along their borders? I would start with the border furtherest away from me if I was lobbing nukes at an adjoining country.

Doesn’t make for much of an inducement. Unless they would prefer to join NATO because they don’t want to be framed and rallied against by all and sundry.

Unless! The Russian military is cleaning house in Ukraine and the eastern bloc countries are worming into NATO to begin the rot.

The russian military destroyed multiple Ukrainian cities after invading a non threatening neighbor with a much larger military than they have, many of russia's neighbors have been begging NATO to hurry up and let them join as a result of russia is doing to Ukraine.

I guess common sense isn't one of putin's strengths?

Everyone seems to always assume that once one nuke gets dropped then everyone else will start using theirs.
But it's entirely possible that Putin could drop one on ukraine but still get his ass kicked by conventional military.

I honestly think he could get away with one or two nukes so long as he spaced them out before we all just said # it and released tons of radiation.

If he shots a bunch at once then yes we are all doomed.

Fun times.

It isn't pressure from NATO, It's from russia's neighbors.
