We have a busy weekend coming up, so I told my husband to put off my Mother's Day for a week. Supposedly, my Mother's Day is to have a long, uninterrupted, relaxing weekend.

This is the stupidest issue ever and we need to find some reasonable compromise that both side can live with or this is never going to end.

Life begins at the moment of conception, it doesn't require a heartbeat, it's a living thing in the process of creating a heartbeat. So the Texas law is Stupid, they think it's so great, but it's the same as performing an abortion later than 6 weeks.

The Governments concern for a living human begins when a birth certificate and SSN are created. Guess what? If you give rights of any kind to persons that DO NOT HAVE AN SSN you are opening the door to give rights to others who do not have a SSN, such as non-citizens.

I don't care, one way or the other. I am physically unable to get an abortion, nor have I caused any. I stop the stork by shooting it in the air, and it has worked just fine so far. If I was to concern myself about the welfare of other people's unborn children, then what about everyone else on this planet who is starving, or whatever their problem happens to be. I have my own problems to be concerned about.

One big problem is the country I live in is all F**ked up, and getting worse every day. And who caused this latest slide into FUpness? 100% on the govt, thanks again. All the division in this country starts in one place.

We should just ignore this sh**, but they know for a fact that when they release this crap, so and so WILL most certainly be standing in front of someplace with a big sign. Guaranteed, happy mother's day.

I think that if the unborn can survive outside of the mother, then she gets a C-section or induced. And never sees it again. And then it has a chance at life. I really honestly don't care, but this seems to be as reasonable as it can be.
And then we should have a constitutional convention and make it permanent. Black and white, maybe even leave out the legalese so there's NO QUESTION.

I am so sick of hearing about this, worse than covid. I remember someone I knew saying they were voting for Al Gore because Bush was going to take away a woman's right to choose. That was prior to the birth of my kid who is 2 years into college now, enough is enough. I can't stand it anymore.

You can definitely tell that the people who set this up never took ECON 101 their freshman year in college or were gender studies majors so the only elective math classes they were required to take were remedial courses.

How is Capitalism in its “End-Stage?” From all the research I have done Capitalism has brought hundreds of millions of people out of poverty in the past 30 years in the world. More then any other system in the world hands down…the facts and math are all there

Guess what? Some rights are not given by any power of man on earth. They simply are, but if that is true as you suggest, then why don't we just wholesale murder those not recognized as US citizens? They aren't human and given the right to life under the COTUS.

I thought that in this context that "end stage" meant the consumers, but perhaps you're right, that they mean capitalism is in it's end stages.

Also, I'd like to add that Mother's Day isn't to celebrate women who have no children or who endorse and support abortion. IMO those women are too selfish and would never be a mother even if they happened to have a child of their own.

I will go on record to having shifted my mind in one area though:

If one woman engages seriously and truly in the sex boycott and somehow mysteriously falls pregnant despite no sex (or turkey baster) during that time, I will admit that perhaps women do need abortions in order to exercise perfect bodily autonomy.

So bring on proof of immaculate conception!

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even notice if there was a sex strike.
