sorry no source, saw on Facebook

woman saw a shopping cart with a new scooter next to it in the parking lot
fears it was a trap

Chesapeake VA, which apparently is a haven for human trafficking

trap? hoax? or coincidence?

you certainly don't see new scooters sitting in a parking lot very often.

I wonder if it was FBI or local law testing the waters

(I have a pic but can't upload it)

We have scooters parked unlocked all around our city. You use em, n leave them.

My local store and bank put out lollipops for kids.

Should I assume it's to lure them in? A trap?

Or should I assume they are just lollipops for the kids?

Are we now going to see everyone as a pedophile because some people's paranoia is getting out of control?

And that doesn't mean I'm not aware that pedophiles exist. It doesn't mean you don't take all precautions to keep kids safe, but this is getting ridiculous.

the empty box for the scooter was in the shopping cart.
apparently this was a child's scooter, not for college kids

news article. not specific to this case, just about trafficking in the area

www.wavy.com...

The number of human trafficking cases in Hampton Roads has increased during the pandemic, according to the region’s human trafficking task force.

The Hampton Roads Human Trafficking Task Force formed in 2016 in response to the number of victims in our area.

The crime is known as one that’s hidden in plain sight and the coronavirus pandemic hasn’t helped to curb it.

Definitely unusual.
Isn't some assembly required for those things after they're removed from the box?

So many progressive dem groomers around now...and they're getting bolder and bolder with kiddie-sniffer Biden in the WH.

if I saw a box of lollipops in the middle of a parking lot with cars lurking I would be suspicious.

You should be able to upload from here: img.abovetopsecret.com/5

But considering the source, and the usual drivel posted there, it's probably nothing more than some uppity Karen with an imagination gone wild.

Not really. You unfold them from storage and they're ready to go. You really don't even need any tools.

Nothing suspicious here.

All that's missing is a fishing line leading to the unmarked white minivan.

Excellent, thanks for getting that image posted.

Silly question.

Do they know if it's a store purchase left behind? Were they able to scan the bar code on that box in the cart? Is it the box for the scooter itself?

What about a serial number on the scooter? City property or otherwise. Having read the article, it did not state the origin of the scooter.

Summer is around the corner. Don't take candy or scooters from a van.

So, someone left a box in a cart so they would not have to throw it away? And no one called the bomb squad?

Looks more like to me someone bought the scooter with the intention of leaving the box behind. And then forgot the scooter as well. But then again I'd check that car for a driver. Maybe they hopped into the car for a cell phone call and left the scooter out.
