WASHINGTON — The Obama White House’s chief cyber official testified Wednesday that proposals he was developing to counter Russia’s attack on the U.S. presidential election were put on a “back burner” after he was ordered to “stand down” his efforts in the summer of 2016.
Why did Obama tell Cyber agencies to "Stand Down" from investigating Russia cyber-attacks
DNC were in a desperate position and really needed something similar to a Russian hacker narrative (something that leaks have since shown the DNC had started building a month or two prior to the hacking claims) and one where they would be fortunate to have a seemingly clumsy hacker that leaves lots of ‘fingerprints’ tainting files and bringing the reputation of leaks into question. – Sure enough, 2-3 days later, Guccifer2.0, the world’s weirdest hacker was spawned
Guccifer2.0 was a disinformation campaign to frame the Russians, after the announcement of impending leaks of DNC servers and Wikileaks

What evidence do you have that Russia did interfere in that election?
Russiagate was contrived.

As the 2016 election grew closer, President Obama abruptly told his Cyber/Intel agencies to "Stand Down" from combatting Russia cyber-attacks and propaganda.

It appears Putin was playing both sides, and it worked beautifully.
Explain to me what is the point of interfering in elections by spending money and effort if both candidates who can win suit you?

First of all, it's pretty widely known that Putin despises Clinton.
On the other hand, Trump was tougher on Russia than Obama was or Clinton would've been.
Who won was beside the point. He wanted to cause animosity and discord, to weaken American unity, which weakens America abroad.

We now know from information published in connection with the Special Counsel John Durham investigation, that Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton asked President Barack Obama to help her severely damage the Presidential candidacy of Donald J. Trump, in 2016.

Remember, this Obama order to let Russia interfere in our U.S. election, came after candidate Clinton launched her illegal "destroy Trump" project.
Did Obama find out Vladimir Putin was attempting to help Hillary win, and wanted to give him continued free reign to do so?
As the article states, the Senate Intelligence Committee heard quite a bit more from Obama Cyber Chief Michael Daniel in 2018. But it's classified to this day.
What do YOU think, fellow/lady ATS members?

I think if asked directly Mr Putin would say "We spent millions of rubles on the election. But, Hillary still lost."

You could just Google "why Putin hates Clinton" and pick a source that you will believe. There are no shortage of articles on the subject.

Question (via interpreter):
Mr President, it is very convenient that you are meeting with Mr Obama on June 6. Perhaps, it would be worse if you were meeting with Hillary Clinton. Only a few days ago, she said that what Russia is doing in Eastern Europe resembles what Hitler was doing in the 1930s.
Vladimir Putin:
It’s better not to argue with women. But Ms Clinton has never been too graceful in her statements. Still, we always met afterwards and had cordial conversations at various international events. I think even in this case we could reach an agreement. When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.
