Typical, in the face of no real evidence by you. Change the subject to some BS question.

Your the one that kept going off subject trying to appear bright.

Sorry. Not buying it.

As a professional PC/Laptop technician for going on 30 years now, I have worked on ex government laptops.

For one thing, it likely wouldn't be labeled "NATO". Labeling something invites theft. They've known that for years. That sticker is the equivalent of naming your WiFi "FBI Surveillance Van #768" a joke.

It would be asset tagged, that's for sure, but there would be no identifying name. It would be BIOS locked, and password protected. The system itself would likely be keyed to an encrypted USB dongle. Unable to function without it. Still needing authorization even with it.

Basically, the Russians would never have been able to access it, even if they could, it's also encrypted. So all data would be useless.

This isn't the movies.

I do not doubt the US has bio labs. Even in Ukraine. I'm saying Russia made up the laptop and story to cover their methods of intelligence gathering.

It's a cover story.

Hey did you at least look at what I found on this?
Check page 5 out there's the tag they wouldn't wouldn't use

So. Was the serial number and model of the computer provide so it could be verified when the computer was made, how it was configured, and what Market it was made to sale in. Then the manufacturer consulted to see who it was sold to? You know, basic detective work.

Nah, russia just printed stickers and held a press conference.

Didn't even bother telling anyone what it contained or what it's accessed.

Putin may get the Nobel Peace Prize for this. Obama got one for launching missiles, it could happen.

What makes me question the validity of the entire thread is the simple idea that some rando on ATS has information about a laptop preventing biological weapons being used on Russia by the USA through Ukraine.

Russia....the country that uses nerve agents on dissidents

Infrastructure of US-funded biological laboratories in Ukraine

Ummmm. There's a BIG difference between a "BioLab" and a "Bioweapons Lab".

The Ukraine doesn't have a bioweapons lab. They might have a level 4 lab that studies things like the "Black Lung Mutation to H1N1" which infected a lot of Ukrainians. And of course, they would have "Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Virus (CCHV) which infected people in Crimea.

52% of Ukraine's electricity comes from nuclear power. And sad to say, the Ukraine has not had the proper funds to dispose of nuclear waste properly. So that means there is radioactive waste and radioactive byproducts in Ukrainian rivers and soil due to their lack of proper disposal of nuclear waste.

Of course that means that the Ukraine also has some odd mutations of diseases like bird flu. So Ukraine bioLabs might study that.

However, there are no United States funded bioweapons labs in the Ukraine. Use a little common sense. Why would the US? The United States has samples of Black Lung mutation to H1N1, which they flew back to labs in the United States. The US has samples of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Virus, which they flew back to the United States. The US would have no reason to study those in the Ukraine or to build labs to study them in the Ukraine. The goal was to get samples to bring back to the U.S. to study in U.S. facilities.

That means what Russia destroyed was a medical bioLab for hospitals. If it had truly been a United States bioweapons lab, the Russians would not have bombed it, they would have invaded it and seized all materials to send back to labs in Russia to study.

Since Russia just bombed the lab, it was an insignificant medical bioLab of no importance to them.

Use a little common sense, please.

In your opinion, was the WUHAN facility a Biology lab, or a Bio-weapons lab?

...the asset tag is both too new for such a rubbish old laptop and doesn't actually have any relevant asset information.

Just curious, how old would you say this laptop is? Apparently running Vista, so maybe late aughts?

I'm not sure its age indicates its authenticity though. It wouldn't be the first time that NATO/others have passed on their handmedowns after they get better stuff...

I got one of these from a friend about 2008, from his work, it was obsolete (in the banking sector), I think it was between 5 and 8 years old when I got it. If I recall correctly it wasn't even powerful enough to use for D.J.-ing.

Depending what software it was used to run it may be feasible, the sticker looks brand new, on such an old model it seems suspicious.
