There were talks between Russia and Ukraine to end what's happening in Ukraine.
I seen all the reports saying the talks were taking place. The last I seen was they were going into the 3rd round of talks.

There has been nothing mentioned on any of the news channels about how the talks have gone as far as I can see.

Have I missed something?

What better way to start a post with that title.

I'm glad to see posting rules being enforced. It's become way too common to see an interesting thread title with nothing more than a sentence saying something like "Who do the think they are? This is unbelievable!" and then a link to gawd knows where/what.
If I don't know what they're talking about I'm not going to waste any more time clicking the link.

Thanks, ATS mods.

I had heard the same.
Absolutely no information on how the talks were going .
Not even a bit of extreme speculation from the MSM as usual.
"Sources close to the subject say...."
That sort .
I do believe we are ALL missing something.
Purposely .

I feel ya.

How do you sit down with Russia for talks if your president is being hunted down by hired mercenaries by the county that just invaded you?

As sad as it is I actually have to watch some RT everyday along with independent streamers and western news outlets if I want to actually get an accurate picture of the situation.

The amount of media warfare is surreal...

Only the enemy is reporting from what I can see. But they only just started negotiations
Kiev, Moscow talk amid conflicts; low hope for 'major breakthrough'

Two sides likely to find some common ground on a ceasefire

High-level talks between Kiev and Moscow finally began in the Ukraine-Belarus border on Monday. Chinese experts acknowledged the significance of the talks, which at least reflected some willingness from both sides, but predicted that hopes were not high for a major breakthrough during the first round of the talks as the conflict has reached its fifth day.

There will be some ups and downs in the talks as the two countries need to sound out each other's bottom line for several rounds, analysts said, but Russia will hold an overall strong position in the talks.

They also raised concerns that the US-led West may not want to see a reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine very soon and the US and West are more interested in destabilizing government of Russian President Vladimir Putin by exerting sanctions, which could cause severe difficulties for Moscow, leading to mass anti-war movement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's office said the Ukrainian delegation consists of Ukraine's defense minister, deputy foreign minister, and four senior lawmakers and presidential office staffers.

Russia's team is composed of Moscow's ambassador to Minsk, its deputy defense minister, a senior lawmaker and President Vladimir Putin's aide Vladimir Medinsky.

The russians are not gonna go forward with a ceasefire , this will give the Ukranians valuable time to reorganise and send in the western backed supplies.

I think this will become a war of attrition and those supplies in that 60 km long convoy will be used to encirle and besiege towns that resist the Russians.

This way you force the non combatants out when they run out of food and water.
Leaving only the ones that will fight to the end and then the Russians could use more offensive methods to clear them out.

House to house fights on this scale would seem unsustainable.

What are you talking about? Russia has already taken Ukraine.
Reporters from inside said this... not fox//cnn

They have control of the airspace and two major cities. They are right outside of Kiev, but the Western border is still wide open. Visa waivers are now in effect for those non Russian foreigners who volunteer to enter the country for the fight. Kind of the way the YPG was recruiting Europeans and Americans to fight in Syria. So it looks like they are attempting to repeat that model they used in Syria.

Try the bbc and rt.com.

They found some common talking points and are going to continue talks.

Wonder why most news agencies are not covering it. They want war?

The talks were just stalling... so Putin could move closer to Kyiv and Belarus could join the invasion.
