It's no longer fringe or alternative news where we collaborate and investigate, now it's those who believe everything the MSM pumps out and those who reject it. Like every other modern platform the majority of users are now driven by MSM fear induced hysteria.

TPTB have moved onto stage 2 of the plan for global domination, the fear has been ramped up to a new level and the masses are following the tune.

ATS has turned into and emotional comments board, and more or less has abandoned its scientific origins.

Heads up to Gortex who presents many "old style" OPs about space or science. Those threads usually trail off quickly.

Nothing to get upset about if we find an interesting new star or planet. People have actually become addicted to the hate and anger, and they need their daily dose, just like any addict.

Blame placing is a HUGE problem. And most of the time, the blame isn't based on who's doing what, but based on how you feel about the person or group.

I can't even tell you how many times I've had to remind people that this sites slogan is "DENY IGNORANCE".

Big brother [UNCLE] owns it and we correspond with his minions here daily. I was once asked by a Special Agent with the State Department whether I did work out of Langley or Fort Meade.

I said neither. I am a subcontractor.

So play with it and enjoy the ride if you understand the game your skill set will improve

Don't even write to me about UFO's as that Forum has been trashed. There is sheep zipping around all over the place up in space. I wonder if the benevolent aliens will show up in Ukraine?

I've noticed that utube isn't pushing it either. The fear wore off. They have a new fear to push. I guess the mandates will start to change.

It can easily be explained by understanding the forum. USER DRIVEN CONTENT. We make the threads, we steer the direction of conversation. We talk about the things we wish to talk about.

If I wanted to talk about Covid again, I'd make a thread. Others would do the same.

It's up to everyone here to steer this boat. If it goes in the wrong direction, there is plenty of blame to distribute. But in the end, it's up to you.

I love Mark Twain quotes. But is it strange that every time I read one, instead of picturing the real Mark Twain in my head, I picture the Star Trek version with a big cigar in his mouth?

Not so strange. It probably happens to a lot of trekkies.

Ive noticed the same thing on social media, theres always some current topic everyone is focusing on and arguing to each other about. I was on ATS before 2012, I have noticed a change.

I think a lot of forums have turned into mostly current events discussions, which to a certain degree will make sense as far as dominant topics.

However, I think one reason for this is often by the time a forum has been around for a while, a lot of non-current events such as let's say historical mysteries, or aliens, have been covered almost ad nauseum. I love those topics however.

Just look at many of the older mystery forums for ATS. A lot of the major topics are already covered multiple times from multiple angles. How many times do I want to read about the Great Pyramids or giant foundational stones of Balbek when I've been doing so for 20 years?

Whereas, for example Covid 19 isn't just a epidemic, the government, media, and corporate responses contain elements that relate to other ATS conspiracies. It's a real-time, relevant event.

I am so sorry that you interpret any discussion one way or the other as "getting upset". I wasn't aware that if we discuss something and express a disagreement, it was "getting upset". That says rather more about you and your mindset than anyone else's.

I look forward to Gortex's threads, but you ought to ask yourself - if they didn't peter out quickly but kept going, it would be because there was something to discuss in them back and forth, wouldn't you then interpret that as people "getting upset"?

I think there are other threads made, but as you said, they trail off quickly. They don't receive enough attention to gain any traction.

Meanwhile you purvey warped narratives from corrupt corporations and media sources, that often don’t match data and science. For example, recently you compared unvaccinated (covid) people to those infected with Ebola being on the loose. Carry on.

it was bound to happen,,,
when mainstream news started with bold faced lies & propaganda, people sought out news of what was really happening,
sad that the truth had to masquerade as conspiracy theory

I think this speaks to the inexorable sprawl of social media throughout our society, and the prevalence of up-to-the-minute news feeds, even in the independent media of late.. I myself actually breathed a sigh of relief when COVID took a back seat since some point approximately two weeks ago, particularly as here in the UK, all restrictions put in place under emergency measures to deal with COVID were rescinded completely around that time.

I know some nations are still suffering quite horribly under restrictions, but here in the UK, as Boris Johnson himself announced (direct quote) "We're blessed" in the way that we can repeal all those restrictions. It strikes me that the timing of Putin's mad dash into Ukraine has occurred 'providentially' just at the moment when MAXIMUM DISTRACTION helps the world powers of the West quietly purge themselves of COVID restrictions too.

Could this be the reason that Putin rolled into Ukraine with his personal Blitzkrieg just at this moment, when the world needed a major distraction, an invasion which simply doesn't make sense from an economic/ strategic perspective - unless there's some other angle........

.......Such as distracting the world from the quiet death of the COVID narrative.

Why else would he be willing to lose $250,000,000,000 off the value of Russian stocks, shares (etc), unless he knew he would be getting kickbacks under the table for years to come?

The only other angle seems to be that he is rejecting the Western/globalist model entirely & wants to develop a new axis of power alongside China. But apparently China has been giving him the cold shoulder since the invasion. But as ever, how much is political theatre, and how much is legitimate.

Hard to tell. But shady stuff will always be going down, no matter the global processes in motion.

Maybe ATS is a prime driver of a certain segment of independent media, and the movement of the independent media is what is being sought out as a tool for pushing maximum distraction from the collapse of the COVID narrative. As in, basically we're the movers & shakers of the independent internet, and our complicity in the discussion of the Ukraine narrative is needed in order to bolster the next stage in the globalists' plans...

I think that made sense in my head before I typed it out.

My point exactly! So...where is the discussion here on ATS??? How did it go missing in such a flash? ...(aside from the MSM and TPTB "wanting very much" for it to just disappear!) Covid is probably the greatest conspiracy of all of our collective lives. Not even 9-11 affected the World like the PLAN-demic did. Millions died for no reason at all. Tens of thousands were outright murdered! Hundreds of thousands were 'neglected' to death. Whole economies were crushed. Millions went on the dole. The entire World changed...and not for the better either! The PLAN-demic caused ALL of that.

Where is the outrage? 9-11 happened twenty years ago and people are still talking about it, still outraged at terrorism. What about the thing which was 10,000x more of a terror attack...Covid?

You hit my point directly on the head.
