James O'berg is an ultra skeptic, who influences a number of ultra skeptics on ATS, a long with Brian Greene and anyone who joins his talks. Neil deGrasse Tyson is very skeptical but I do like his insight on aliens. I try to avoid listening to the ultra skeptics but there's die hard Fermi Paradox supporters out there, especially on YouTube, trust me.

If everyone was a skeptic, life would be more bearable 'cause the hucksters wouldn't exist. Snake oil production would cease. Religions would never have taken hold and our planet might possibly be overpopulated 'cause the religious wars (all wars) would not have taken place.

To understand how a person is a skeptic you'd have to be one. James Oberg is not an "ultra" skeptic, he is a normal skeptic with a higher level of acceptance. If he were to have a real UFO sighting with enough details to convince him that what he is seeing is not human-made he might stop being a skeptic. I was born a skeptic but that only means that I don't buy hearsay. I always wondered what it was that people reported seeing but I never doubted their sincerity 'cause not everyone is an expert on what is seen in the sky. Doubts exist for a reason. I had my first sighting but it was a rare sighting that left no doubt about what I saw. So I do not accept all claims but my ears are open. Aliens? That was another story particularly tales of abductions. Those I never accepted and still don't but now, with everyone filming UFOs all over the world, something not human is either inside the craft or operating them remotely.

Oberg and I have been agreeing but mostly disagreeing. Still, I and many others have been positiively affected by paying close attention when he speaks. But because I am mostly self-taught I learned about life differently from Oberg and we definitely have vastly different opinions on some subjects where I prefer my POV instead of his.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is another matter. The Hayden Planetarium is just two blocks behind where I'm sitting and where I sort of grew up. But I'm not crazy about his demeanor and don't enjoy listening to him or Michio Kaku for that matter.

My favorite people are skeptics 'cause with them you learn to think openly instead of the close-minded believers. I had a great relationship with Phil Klass, The Amazing Randi, and many others who helped me establish a sane and questioning mind.

Born and raised in NY (South Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens) before the U.S. Navy got their tentacles around me 😉

The old Hayden Planetarium was my second home. The halls were dark and mysterious and I always checked my weight and compare it to being on the moon, etc. In my later years, in the '60s, before the Planetarium was renovated, you would first go to a small, dark space and stand there while looking up at the ceiling wihere the universe was shown and the planets revolved. I was fortunate to listen to and appreciate Antonín Dvořák's The Symphony No. 9 in E minor, "From the New World", Op. 95, B. 178, but only by George Szell with the Cleveland Orchestra. Then at the appropriate time a hostess would escort us upstairs to the dome for the sky show. That's where I learned to love to listen to Hearts of Space music (is a United States weekly syndicated public radio show featuring music of a contemplative nature drawn largely from the ambient, new-age and electronic genres). Now, I still listen to it on headphones an hour of such (Walter/Wendy Carlos, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, Davol, et al) before I go to sleep. I usually fall asleep before the CD is finished but when the music stops I automatically awaken to remove the headphones and do a bathroom visit and then I sleep 8 solid hours. I sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if I didn't have those experiences.

I have Jean-Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk,….for a more spacey music sound I like me some Vangelis. Back in the day synthesizers were all the rage. I have one myself.

But not to drift to much off the thread topic 🥴

There's always been more to the Lazar story. I've been following it for years and find him to be credible. If what he says is true it confirms everything this community has believed from the start!

What specifically do you find credible?

Not only that but lightning22 uses "believed" as a truism when it's nothing of the sort.
be·lief
/bəˈlēf/
noun
1. an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
"his belief in the value of hard work"
2. trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.
"I've still got belief in myself"

I did a search 'cause I forgot where this reply was and found this:

The problem with the above thread is that the many links Exuberant1 provides are dead.

Since I'm an ex-hypnotist I want to offer my comments on the tanscripts but it's 2:19 am and I'm going to bed in a while so I'll come back to it.
