This "Freedom Convoy Press Conference" could 'wake up' the world - except for 1 thing...

...it's too long and needs an expert editor to cut together the most 'pertinent' sections and emphasize the emotional sincerity of the speaker.

First this quote by Martin Niemoller, a Lutheran Pastor who survived 7 years in Nazi concentration camps:

Okay, once past the ads, go to about the 6 minute: 20 second mark (the first minutes they're all waiting for the reporters to get synchronized for broadcasting live), and you'll probably want to turn the sound up...

...you cannot help but feel moved watching this retired military man almost breakdown while reading a specially written version of the above quote!

I highly encourage watching the whole video - towards the end, he talks about how not only did the government freeze his bank accounts and credit cards, but they also targeted his wife and managed to get her credit score dropped by 100 points!

This man is so personable, sincere, clear speaking, and yes - being 'Hollywood' good looking completes the package -

- I firmly believe that if someone could get a proficient film editor to cut it to ten minutes while emphasizing the emotional drama (maybe even cutting in clips of the police violence and underscoring the content with very subtle music)...

...the film could be a very powerful way to open people's eyes world wide to the insidious, creeping totalitarianism taking place under their very noses.
I wish to heaven I knew a good film editor.

You are right this needs to be for the broadest presentation.

I watched several of their press conferences leading up to these events. Their strength, intelligence, clarity, kindness is the "statement" for history of the brilliance of humanity vs vacuous predators.

The press conference from Thursday the 17th says it better.
(When I pulled this up on yt, the intro ad was to get vaccinated. See above for appropriate insult)

What will the US Convoy-Protest be called?

In 6 months, we won't be able to look at most thread titles and know if that thread is about the Canadian Convoy, or the U.S. Convoy, unless the U.S. thread titles contain the official Convoy-Protest name, once its determined.

Officially I think it's called The Peoples Convoy.

Interestingly, I had left the tab of the shorter version open so I could post the link when needed.
When I went to get it for here, I checked the link and in YT style, it went on to the next video. So I went to click the 'back' button.... guess what.... can't click back! A very subtle form of censure in my view!

You know...I have to say...I agree with you that the US truckers should not do the convoy 'thing'...

Even if it is a truly sincere effort - it reeks of potential for backfiring, and IMO could actually end up being a catalyst for the US government to justify even more totalitarian 'shenanigans'.

It fizzled out, little support from the left who supported lockdown, little support from the right who lived in states with minimal lockdown.

Covid rates went down, and serious sickness dropped due to vaxxing, so the movement didn't gain much traction.

If you read all their posts too, there was lots on infighting, groups splintered, some were angry they donated and were on their way to DC when the group up and decided to go protest in California about some new bills. They do still have die hard convoy people on their way back to DC, and they did some stops on their way. Many are armed now, or maybe they were, but are more vocal about it and one was firing shots in Portland. I'll have to see whatever happened with that. I only saw the video.

ETA: I forgot, they've recently been accusing each other of being feds too. It's kind of a mess right now. But entertaining to watch and read.

oh my gosh - I haven't been checking for replies, so just now saw this...

This whole censorship thing makes me boiling mad, as does the propaganda I see everyday in my local newspaper!!!
