The Queen has tested positive for Covid, Buckingham Palace has said. The monarch is experiencing "mild cold-like symptoms" but expects to continue "light duties" at Windsor over the coming week, the palace said. "She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines," it added in a statement. The Queen, 95, had been in contact with her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who tested positive last week. It is understood a number of people have tested positive at Windsor Castle, where the Queen resides. The announcement comes weeks after the UK's longest reigning monarch reached her Platinum Jubilee of 70 years on 6 February. She carried out her first major public engagement for more than three months on the eve of her Jubilee, meeting charity workers at Sandringham House.

Well IF this is true, is this another nail in her coffin?

The time is coming soon, then the whole royal family gets it's big shake-up.

Long overdue perhaps, but I for one expect much of what we have been through in the last few years has been a very timely precursor to that shift away from a Monarchy to who knows what would follow.

Forgive my cynicism for mentioning Boris is just about to roll out a sweet 4th covid vaccine shot for all the over 75s and other vunerable groups-I am thinking the Queen having covid may just encourage more to take the 4th shot than otherwise would have..

On in routine day in 1992, the Queen was isolated from anyone that might infect her with anything remotely contagious.
The same has been true for the last 30 years.

If the Queen has got the corona, then you can rest assured that every living being on the planet has been exposed and you are either dead or immune. You might still get sick from it again and again but you are not going to die from it.

You will still die from managed healthcare . . . but not corona.

Just like the other 99% that got Covid and survived she will be okay, but if she took the experiment she may have pericarditis, myocarditis, guillain barre syndrome or even fainting spells to contend with.

I think the high profile (elite) have only been getting placebo shots because they are "in the know".

First of all, she is very old, but in good health, still I am sure she will get a good infusion of antigens, if she got the moron variant from Africa she should be ok as long as the doctors keep it from going to the lungs.

But lets no forget she is a very old lady and have lived a full and very accomplished life.

It seems to me like within the last year I remember seeing a thread here on ATS talking about the family crest being removed from the palace gates. Not sure if accurate. But, might be something interesting to look at. Who knows what's going on really though.
