Turdwater may have to fork out for assistance from Blackwater this time.

One wonders what the thoughts of the Canadian high military staff are regarding their PM and his difficulties.

Cheers

I agree with all your points about the criminality of Fidel's Little Bastard, but I doubt he or Fauci or all the rest of the traitors and criminals will be prosecuted, neither in Canada nor in the US.

Ya ummm not correct in any way whena state of emergency has been declared.

Whitmer can call out the Michigan National Guard at her discretion when needed in Michigan, by declaring a state of emergency in Michigan. She can send Michigan National Guard units to other states in the USA if they ask for help.

Whitmer cannot declare a state of emergency in Canada. Trudeau declaring a state of emergency in Canada has no bearing on what Michigan can or cannot do; Michigan is not a province of Canada. Whitmer cannot send troops to Canada, unless requested by the US President.

You seem to have an issue with understanding that Canada is not part of the USA. Canada is a sovereign country, bound by it's own Constitution and not the US Constitution. Canadian law means nothing in the USA, just as US law means nothing in Canada.

TheRedneck

I agree with everything you have written.

However, Whitmer as we saw last year thinks she can do whatever she wants and she must be obeyed.

Like banning people going out on their boats, even alone, meanwhile her husband went out fishing on a boat.
Like banning the sale of infant car seats as non-essential items, and banning the sale of paint and other home improvement items, while she locked her people in their homes with nothing to do but stare at their 4 walls.

Whitmer appears to love power and thinks she has the absolute sovereign right to rule like the Queen. Except the Queen wouldn't even ban purchasing a car seat for kids. She's power hungry nut job who would unilaterally send in the National Guard and defend her right to do so and the Democratic Party and liberals would defend her doing it. As they love nothing more than to control the ignorant peon masses, as they see "the people".

(b) levies war against Canada or does any act preparatory thereto; or

He's already pushing war with his own people. He is not above the law and especially not the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If he brought in a foreign military onto Canadian soil to repress Canadians this would be war, or preparatory of war, against his own people.

I'm hoping they intervene to save this country. He has violated several laws and is extremely dangerous.

The people for freedom will never accept tyranny. There are a lot of us and we are everywhere, many of us uniting openly in protest or in support of it. Not sure what the future holds, but we will not accept tyranny.

Not it wouldn't. If Trudeau moved to use military forces against the protesters it would most likely involve a declaration of apprehended insurrection, as was done during the October Crisis. It would not be a declaration of war.

From what I can find, the Canadian government can only declare war against another nation.

Which is why Biden and his chaperones are engaged in urgent discussions with Trudeau. Whitmer doesn't have to make any decisions while they're actively identifying any semi rational excuse to deploy military resources at the first opportunity.

Michigan was never sending troops or national guard. They did, however, provide tow trucks and drivers to assist with the illegal border blockade.

As I already pointed out, no he wouldn't. Generally speaking, the Head of State for a nation cannot levy war against their own citizens. Instead, that is called suppressing an insurrection.

Once again, please refer to the October Crisis. The Canadian government invoked the War Measures Act so they could deploy troops to Quebec to put down the FLQ. The Canadian government were not levying war against the FLQ, they were responding to a state of apprehended insurrection.

If Trudeau has troops deployed against the protesters, the same thing will happen. The government will invoke the War Measures Act, a state of apprehended insurrection will be declared, and everything will be legal.

However, Whitmer as we saw last year thinks she can do whatever she wants and she must be obeyed.

And as long as she stays in Michigan, that can work. She is the governor; elections matter.

But she's dealing with another country now. It would be in the same vein as though Trudeau sent Canadian military to help Romania in a civil action... not gonna fly. He can get away with murder (literally) as long as he is the Canadian PM and is in Canada; so can Whitmer as long as she is in Michigan. Step into another country and all that goes out the window.

He's already pushing war with his own people.

I see your point, but I doubt you could get that to stick. Just being honest. He may be at war with the Canadian people, but that is not the same as being at war with Canada. A court could easily interpret the statute as referring to the Canadian government, not the Canadian people.
