Well as long as they are telegraphing NATO's every move Id say nothing is gonna happen tonight atleast ley's hope not. It's when it goes quiet.

So lets see who can predict which incremental step will Russia do next, or NATO for that matter.

Are they trying to send the Russians the message that they will carpet Russia?

Three tankers from Mildenhall over France headed south as well. Looks like it's going to be a long flight for those BUFFs.

standard training mission for the buff is 8 hours, depending on what practice they need it can go as long as 12.

Those old TF-33 motors are far from fuel efficient and they can carry like 120k lbs of fuel, hence the 2 refuelers.

Or they could be going to do left turns over poland or hungary "for training" while all that stupidity over ukraine moves forward.

*shrugs*

It's a standard Bomber Task Force deployment. They'll be all over Europe while they're deployed working with allies, and training with them. That will include night flights, as well as daytime missions. It just depends on who they're training with, what the training mission is, and what the other aircraft they're working with are.

My son's brother-in-law was at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, now at RAF Fairford, England.
They took some "special military grade weapons" with them. They hoped they won't have to use them.

Told his sister (our daughter-in-law) a couple of weeks ago, things were heating up and to watch for news soon.
I wonder if this is what he was talking about!

I wouldnt fret to much yet, they are probably pre-deploying some things just in case, the round the world strikes are really only good for blowing up tents when you are trying to intimidate a third world dictator.

IF russia/ukraine goes hot more regular and heavy bombing will be needed.

There are 5 conditions known as "color code conditions" used by the military.
I wonder which one the base is on right now?

These are the Five Conditions:

Condition White: You are totally unaware of your surroundings and totally unprepared for even the prospect of danger.

Condition Yellow: You are relaxed but alert. You are not expecting trouble, but you are aware of your environment, so you would recognize a problem if it arose.

Condition Orange: You are aware that there seems to be a problem and your body is reacting .

Condition Red: The problem has occurred and you are facing one or more opponents you reasonably believe might do you harm. You should be taking cover and actively performing the appropriate defensive tactics.
If already under attack, you are willing to neutralize the threat.

Condition Black: You are in a blind state of panic where you are unable to react to the situation because you have developed neither the inner tools nor the outer skills with which to react.

Most Military Bases never get to "Condition White" or "Condition Black" as they are normally prepared for a sudden attack, even when things are peaceful.

I am very aware and won't be to worried until communications
(like cell phone service is shut down at the base)
no incoming or outgoing calls allowed.
Then we will know that something is up.

i figure a False Flag or False Alarm is in the works right now

the military seems to be following the playbook on a Alert Status with B52's in the air and ready for orders

OTOH, 3 or 4 forum sources relating to a WWW3 scenario,,,where DC Itself is the supposed target on 18 Feb '22

and that Russia was chasing-off USA subs that were too close to Russian sensitive locations' in the 'Eastern Seas'

all that needs to be 'On Standby' are the USA ICBMs to complete the Triad of bombers/missiles/subs that must be Alerted for War Preparations

the Ukraine/Russia impasse keeps building or is this a 'staged' DEFCON' to do something else to freedom and prosperity being the American paradigm (up to now)

USAF has never done that far as I am aware, I remember my first trip down range with a B-52, I found out because CNN was reporting it.

Got to work and asked wth, flight chiefs were still planning it.

Last base I was at, heard about that deployment on the local news before it was officially briefed to the unit.

Maybe things have changed, but I cant imagine the pilots or their spouses will be able to keep their mouths shut.

This is what I look for, immediate voicemail on base phones.

Here is another trick that has been useful to me in the past for breaking major operation opsec coming from conus bases - Call the nearest pizza joint to the base and start to place an order for delivery to base housing, pizza joints are always aware of quietly locked down bases long before it's public information and will tell you that delivery isn't possible today.

Many of their drivers are children of service members, or even off duty service members themselves.

No such activity at the bases I watch yet, but it would be nice if someone could debunk the disturbing rumors coming from Whitman for the past few days.

I've been watching too. Had to flip flop between ADS-B, Flightradar24 and a couple more.

Interesting times, everything looks suspect. Lots of Ilyushin Il-76 and C-17's.

The other day, 5 c-130's stopped at Pittsburgh International Airport. 2 from Dyess Air Force Base which surprised the heck out of me.... wasn't aware Dyess had C-130's.
The others came from who knows.
Two went to Ireland, the rest went to the UK after a refuelling in Nova Scotia.

Zaphod explained 👍🏼

Heres a couple screen captures.

If you’ve paid attention, bombers deploy to Fairford a couple times a year, for roughly a month at a time. But no one bothers to, until something else is happening, then suddenly it’s either the end of the world, or someone is trying to provoke something.

My understanding there's no issue with Russia other than Hillary getting nervous.
