In Western Countries, Western Comic/Graphical books are now pushing Social Justice Warrior into the books. Some of the comic companies had demanded to race swap, create a rebooted characters to fit in more of diverse world in order to tackle the issues that minorities face today.

Characters like Punisher is not save from this wokeness, social justice rebranding that is happening in Western Comics.

Gerry Conway now wants a rebooted Black Punisher so that it can focus issues that minorities face today. Marvels/DC Comic have no issues race swapping characters that were once white and replace/reboot them to others in order to push for social justice.

These comic book companies are still forgetting that there are many European Countries. These kind of comic books that have social justice in them will not be popular in Asia nor in some places of Europe.

They are bringing to many politics into comics and then they wonder why the sells arent doing well.

The likely reason they are after changing the Punisher is because of the logo.
I dont think the fans of the character would like the changes.

The Next Punisher Should Be a Black Veteran, Says Co-Creator Gerry Conway

Here is a example. This is how woke comic book companies had gotten.

While their at it why not make him gay and add BLM to the forehead of the skull logo.

Todd Mcfarlan should make Al Simmons from spawn white now as well.

Their rebooting all kinds of characters now, Comic and TV shows.
One of the worst for doing it is the CW.

Most that I've watched are just plain sad. I will say this for the CW, they rebooted Walker Texas Ranger and it's half watchable.

Hell yeah! They should do it, and then let him go around punishing people for their unrepentant whiteness. I'm sure that will sell a ton. /sarc

But, of course, every single critic would praise it and it would win awards.

There already is a black Punisher. link Seems they have forgotten that at Marvel. But then again it doesn't fit the narrative.

What, you mean like everyone forgot about Blade as the first black superhero lead in a Marvel movie when Black Panther was released?

That's where things are a tad dodgy. Not a Super-Hero in the traditional sense. A vampire hunter yes, super-hero not so much. They re-branded the character a few years back and made him an Avenger. The first Marvel movies have all been forgotten, like Howard the Duck and Buckaroo Bonsai! Yes I'm that old to have watched them all on VHS or [gasp] Beta-max!

If we're getting technical, the Punisher isn't technically a superhero either. He's a vigilante. Blade is still closer in the sense that at least he has superhuman ability.

Dude I been thinking the same, how about rebuilding broken game consoles, building model gasoline engines that run, and those raspberry pi robotics kits for an idea? That’s where me n my step son are headed.

This whole needing of race swapping characters for "Diversity,Social Justice" is making readers and some comic fans feel that they are about to be punished for something punished that something their ancestors did.

If Jerry Conway feels strongly about this, why not just quit and let a POC/minority creator do the character and story?

Well the only places that it might actually do well is those far leftist progressive areas. MCU is going hurt its sells in Europe. The same MCU brand that is now owned by Disney.

Marvel and DC have always added politics and race swaps in comics. There was a Lady Punisher aka Lynn Michaels, I haven't read the storyline, but it's on my list.

One of my favs was a cowboy Punisher, A Man Named Frank.

Black Punisher would be interesting lol.
Maybe a white cop killed someone in his family while in police custody... during a "Burn it down protest". 🤡🌎

Outlaw (Nigel Higgins) is not the Punisher ( Frank Castle), he is his counterpart and helped Castle and David Linus "Microchip" Lieberman internationally especially against Kingpin.

In Fact when he thought The Punisher was dead, he came to the U.S. to investigate it and found The Punisher alive. Later stopped being a vigilante, lived incognito and then forced into Battleworld, loses, then wins, and winds up helping people instead of being a vigilante or a cosmic MMA warrior.

Alternate possibilities are interesting and fun but usually short-lived. We're talking about taking the iconic main and outright changing them for good as the intent.

It smacks of thinking they cannot create what they want as an original property, so the co-op a pre-existing and successful character to morph into what they want to see and doom it in the process because people just aren't into the Social Justice Warriors. It might be an interesting what-if diversion, but as gay Superman shows, it's not how people want to iconic main characters to be.

Superman doesn't fight for "Truth, Justice, and a Better Tomorrow" and he's not gay. That's not who people want him to be. You might find a market for a character who does those things, but it's not Superman's market. You need to create that character and he's not Superman.

Similarly, Frank Castle is the Punisher and he has his backstory and his fans expect him to be what he is. You might find a market for a character who grew up in the inner city and came out of a single mother, impoverished, gang ridden background who went on to get into some serious vigilantism, but he's not Frank Castle or the Punisher. He's someone else, and he deserves his own story and identity. Give him those things and you might find your own success and market with him.

Actually, that second dude sounds way more intriguing as a possible character than gay superdude.
