I was looking into just whats ongoing over there in Ukraine and pick up a story in the commie rag Pravda about Russian nuclear submarines are off both USA coasts. So I did what all American boys do. No not Mr. Google but Mr. TOR browser. So I went to Google translate and typed in "Russian nuclear submarines are off both USA coasts" and converted it from English into Russian. I then took the Russian text in Russian and paste it into TOR. OK, so the 1st two headers were nothing but then this story appears dated 30January2022. OK, that's today.

So President Volodymyr Zelensky had a "situation" with President Joe Biden via telephone? Its all over the internet. So why is Joe on edge? Zircon?

Here's the link, yes its all in Russian!

“The Russian nuclear submarine with the Zircon near New York is a nightmare for the United States”

So what say you as this happens all the time. Well yes but this time they are off New York City and they apparently brought a Zircon along with them.

3M22 Zircon Quick Facts Russian/US Designation 3M22 Zircon/SS-N-33

Here's the article as translated via use of Google translate. All I did was cut and paste. Google does all the work so if something isn't correct its on them.

“The Russian nuclear submarine with Zircon near New York is a terrible son for the United States” As part of the exercises, Russian nuclear submarines were sent to the Atlantic to the US coast, the American Defense News portal reported, citing a source in the Pentagon. In response, a group of congressmen demanded that the US President send American submarines to the Mediterranean Sea, as well as to the Far East. to the coast of Russia and to the Northern Ocean. "Gazeta.Ru" understood the reasons for such activity. “Russia sent a group of submarines to the east coast of the United States. Formally, this is done as part of regular training maneuvers. At the same time, according to a well-informed high-ranking source, the Pentagon notes an excess number of submarines compared to the number to the coast of Russia and to the Northern Ocean. "Gazeta.Ru" understood the reasons for such activity. “Russia sent a group of submarines to the east coast of the United States. Formally, this is done as part of regular training maneuvers. At the same time, according to a well-informed high-ranking source, the Pentagon notes an excess number of submarines compared to the number which usually takes part in training patrols. These submarines are equipped with ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads,” Defense News reports. It is with this, according to the portal, that the appeal of the joint group of US congressmen is connected, who demanded that American submarines be sent closer to Russian maritime borders, as well as to the Mediterranean Sea. “Russian nuclear submarines are constantly on combat duty in different parts of the oceans, including off the coast of the United States, it’s no secret that in the Gulf of Mexico,” military expert Vasily Dandykin, Captain 1st Rank, told Gazeta.ru. - The Navy now has such opportunities, including due to the commissioning of new submarines of the Borey nuclear projects and "Ash". Boats cannot stand at the pier - each has two shift crews and the duration of a long trip can be up to six months. There is also such a nuance - as a rule, submarines go on combat duty in pairs, a strategic nuclear missile carrier is accompanied by a multi-purpose boat, and this is already a strike group. Maxim Aleshin, a specialist in naval law, researcher at the Institute for the US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, believes that the American reaction in this case "will not cause concern in Moscow." The fact is that American submarines are traditionally very densely present in the Eastern Hemisphere - both in the Northern Ocean and in the Pacific. We are used to it, we track them. Russia, for its part, has been very restrained in recent years. Our submarine convoys in the Atlantic were relatively rare. Therefore, any increased activity on our part causes a painful reaction in Americans and even a feeling of panic. This reminds them of the time of the existence of the USSR, ”Alyoshin said in a conversation with a Gazeta.Ru correspondent. Admiral, former commander of the Black Sea Fleet Vladimir Komoyedov agrees with this point of view. “At the peak of their power, Soviet submarine forces controlled 70% of the world's oceans,” Admiral Komoyedov told Gazeta.Ru. - Of course, one of the main conditions for the implementation of such effective control was the systematic presence of ships and crews at sea. And the current increase in the operational pace of the use of Russia's combat submarine fleet is a very positive signal. Russia can rightly state the restoration of its strategic nuclear triad. For almost 30 years the Americans dominated the deep sea, but now that time is running out.” In this regard, the admiral noted that "the use of the submarine component of the nuclear deterrence force is the most compelling argument in strategic military planning." Maxim Aleshin, in turn, drew attention to the fact that the current possible maneuvers of Russian nuclear submarines are also demonstrative in connection with the tests of the Zircon hypersonic missile carried out from a submarine at the end of last year. “This missile has not yet been put into service, but this is a matter of a year or two. The Americans are shown that submarines equipped with the Zircon may be regularly present off the coast of the United States in time. Let me remind you that the characteristics of "Zircon" do not allow him to shoot down at the current stage. This is an anti-ship missile, but it can also work on ground targets. Nothing prevents equipping it with a nuclear warhead. A submarine with a Zircon near New York is a nightmare for the United States. In principle, Russian nuclear submarines can be permanently present there and replace each other according to tAlyoshin says. According to the expert, Russia does not threaten in this way, but invites the United States to "discuss in detail the issues of zones of influence, who, where and how can be present." “This is a continuation of the discussion about the “red lines”, but by underwater means. The Americans are told that if Ukraine is in NATO, then our nuclear submarines will always be on your shores, think about it, ”the expert concluded. he principle of rotation,”

Well possibly I will give Governor Kathy Hochul a shout out as we had some excellent political debates as back in the day. We went to the same high school. Plus we both love the USA.

Zircons are MF's. Based on what it took to confirm said story, my guess is that they played their best chess piece so as to get NATO or at least USA tom stand down on Ukraine?

In fact, the Russians do not need military bases in Cuba, Nicaragua or Venezuela. All this is being done for the psychological impact on an ordinary US citizen and in response to the deployment of American missiles near the borders of Russia. For a long time, Russian submarines with hypersonic missiles have been on duty off the coast of the United States, and Poseidon nuclear torpedoes are already within almost instantaneous reach of American cities. This is reality. But the Russians don't want war. This is a disaster, we are realists.
The deployment of Russian missile weapons near the United States is only a response to similar American deployments near Russia's borders.
But American systems are useless. Even North Korea tested a missile system yesterday where the missiles reached 16 speeds of sound. And in China and Russia, similar and even more systems are already on alert. The United States still cannot achieve even the separation of a hypersonic missile from a carrier. The United States is catastrophically behind in this type of weapons even from North Korea. But they want to fight with Russia. Crazy!(((

Zircon is being pushed at bankruptcy inducing pace BECAUSE russia has trouble hiding (or even operating) their subs anywhere without an American escort.

And because they don't think we can defend against it.

The primary reason putin thinks this is because they can be launched from anywhere on the planet with the same results as any other location.

Do you really not see just how stupid it is to claim that russia is putting zircon on our coasts, when traditional missiles would be just as effective from that range?

Or that these 'threats' have anything at all to do with Ukraine, other than that they supposedly came from the same crazy russian?

The whole idea is just dumb.

Or do you prefer that we call it propaganda?

(Not you, the russians)

Missiles near russia?

Behind in hypersonics?

Or anything else?

Absurd propaganda lies from a tyrant that wants to enslave his neighbor again.

I'm sure American subs are doing the same, British too, armed with whatever weaponry we don't know about.

A submarine anywhere from any nation can be a nightmare. They don't need to be close as missiles are capable of reaching any target from wherever they maybe.

A submarine in close to shore is more likely to be engaged in communications intercept. Our navy host a number of subs and other fleets in that area.

The best place to find a sub with a sub would be to start where they leave a port. Track one leaving before they go deep and silent, you stand a much better chance of sticking close in shadows as you play a game of hide and seek

Actually, that was a "good death" for the political officer.

And a very important lesson:

All conjecture really. The Russian Federation boast about their new stealth fighter of which only one exist...not exactly a production model either and would still be a few years away from any sort of robust program.

Hypersonic is a little misleading in and of itself, as to be hypersonic the speed achieved must exceed about 3700 mph, and components be able to withstand it.

The US has had hypersonic aircraft and missiles on the drawing board since the 50's. The truth is, both nations and others already have hypersonic capability as spacecraft leaving and returning to earth exceed 17-thousand mph, and for many years the components in space programs do withstand the elements.

The US is said to have 7 different hypersonic programs active. Active is a long way from a reliable system but it stands to reason there are working systems not yet in production like the Russian stealth bomber.

The XR-37B program is one I have always thought is closely related to hypersonic sonic programs. The US programs seem to take an approach toward hypersonic missiles that glide at hypersonic speed from extreme altitudes such as space. The XR-37b program is eerily associated with space based missile technology.

It can remain in space for monstrous amounts of time, completely autonomous and return on schedule all the while exceeding hypersonic speed and surviving to return in a relatively short turn around. While the US may not be advertising capabilities on earth, our program in space could have spurred both China and Russia toward an earthly deployment missile in the more traditional form.

The bottom line is pretty simple...both nations have enough traditional arsenals quite capable of destroying each other and everyone else on earth several times over without hypersonic technologies. It's never mattered whose **** is bigger...only who is stupid enough to push the button first.

That's it, in a nutshell..sans the Russian propaganda. It's a fools game, and no one will win.

that assumes they could get here without being spotted, and immediately shadowed with orders to sink them if aggressive action is taken.

Push comes to shove I would still take our sub fleet over well anyones, I could be wrong ill admit.

They did.

A Russian Akula-class nuclear attack submarine sailed undetected in the Gulf of Mexico for weeks, and was only discovered after it left.

So with the drums of war beating now at a much more intense level than in August of 2012, you think they are still on the same footing.

While I am airforce, I think even the navy can find its butt with both hands, so I would wager they and the coast guard, and whoever else watches the ocean are a little more on point right now.

Sure they did.

(Though they do slip away occasionally in peace time)

We don't discuss our subs, two of which were likely behind this russian tin can.
