The Russian military continues to build up at the Ukraine border as "talks" continue.
The South China Sea is a real life game of chicken between the US and China.
North Korea is getting itchy fingers and Japan looks like a great target. In addition to that there is a war on money!

Russia and China want a ban on Crypto & mining, while N. Korea is stealing it all.
asia.nikkei.com...

Investigators for U.S. government agencies and the United Nations estimate Kim's regime has already profited to the tune of $2.3 billion via cyber hacking and that Pyongyang is getting better at it all the time.

So my question is, how do you see this all playing out? Does Russia just charge in starting a historic chain reaction?
NATO comes to rescue? China joins in, N Korea gets theirs?

I can honestly say as an American I do not feel comfortable with those in charge and really wonder about our military readyness if stuff gets real..

i seriously doubt VP Harris will wear the hat of Commander-in-Chief

even if the potus gets removed by mental faculties being diminished

the usa military is not positioned to engage in combat at all, so the eager Generals might go rogue...

Worrying about it isnt going to change the outcome Its above my, and I expect your pay grade. Corrupt and power mad mother......s have played the same game since time immemorial. It's just the names and weapons that change. I feel the same way about them as they do about me. F.ck them all. Open the beer.

I grew up in a NATO community. It is not my paygrade, but it's in my blood. I'm sure I have some childhood emotional trauma from that, and anytime we get close to wartime my inner child gets worried.

Oh I know, its a terrible, defeatist attitude. But it's a mentally bearable one and the beer tastes just the same

Growing up my dad (lifelong military) always told me we would go to war with Russia. He did not like China but never ever said anything about China.

He said we would go to war over oil, we did.
He said there would be a "war" on drugs, there was.
He said we would go to war with Russia...
He also said there would be a big war over water....

War over water is more or less guaranteed if the population keeps increasing .

I think NATO is escalating the situation, and I think Russia is to proud to back down now.

They are both acting like angry kids, I do have much respect for Putin but also NATO. So this whole situation is just sad.
They both need to figure this out, shake hands and move on.

But I have a bad feeling this have gone to far now, and nobody wanna show weakness.

Oh, and NATO got a combined army 3 times bigger then Russia.. BUT Russia have 5 times more nukes then NATO.
So if this do get out of hand, pretty sure Russia have no choice to use nukes.

Here is a report on US military readiness from the Heritage Foundation (a well known conservative think tank that has been assessing this for years). It's called "2022 index of U.S. military strength":

www.heritage.org...

Here's what it says about Europe:

"Overall, the European region remains a stable, mature, and friendly operating environment. Russia remains the preeminent military threat to the region, both conventionally and unconventionally, but China has become a significant presence through its propaganda, influence operations, and investments in key sectors. Both NATO and many non-NATO European countries have reason to be increasingly concerned about the behavior and ambitions of both Russia and China, although agreement on a collective response to these challenges remains elusive.

The past year saw continued U.S. military and political reengagement with the continent along with modest increases in European allies’ defense budgets and capability investments. The U.S. military position in Europe is the strongest it has been for several years. Joint exercises have continued, and a large withdrawal from Germany was cancelled. ...

NATO has maintained its collective defense posture throughout the pandemic. Its renewed emphasis on collective defense has resulted in a focus on logistics. The biggest challenges to the alliance derive from gaps in capability and readiness among many European nations, the importance of continuing improvements and exercises in the realm of logistics, a tempestuous Turkey, disparate threat perceptions within the alliance, and the need to establish the ability to mount a robust response to both linear and nonlinear forms of aggression.

For Europe, scores this year remained steady, as they did in 2020 (assessed in the 2021 Index), with no substantial changes in any individual categories or average scores. The 2022 Index again assesses the European operating environment as “favorable.”

Here's what it says about Asia:

"The Asian strategic environment includes half the globe and is characterized by a variety of political relationships among states with wildly varying capabilities. This makes Asia far different from Europe, which in turn makes America’s relations with the region different from its relations with Europe. American conceptions of Asia must recognize the physical limitations imposed by the tyranny of distance and the need to move forces as necessary to respond to challenges from China and North Korea.

The complicated nature of intra-Asian relations and the lack of an integrated, regional security architecture along the lines of NATO make defense of U.S. security interests more challenging than many Americans appreciate. However, the U.S. has strong relations with allies in the region, and their willingness to host bases helps to offset the vast distances that must be covered. The militaries of Japan and the Republic of Korea are larger and more capable than European militaries, and both countries are becoming more interested in developing missile defense capabilities that will be essential in combatting the regional threat posed by North Korea.

We continue to assess the Asia region as “favorable” to U.S. interests in terms of alliances, overall political stability, militarily relevant infrastructure, and the presence of U.S. military forces."

But TPTB may see a WW as the only solution to the massive economic problems of the world, caused by massive socialist/communist overspending to gain and retain power.

Plus the added bonus of depopulation

Am I cynical? Yes.

Too many old people draining the system... The solution, get rid of people.
Wouldn't be surprised if places with older populations are targeted... Florida anyone?

Old Korean superstition. If your house/business is ruined by fire then you are guaranteed exponential success if it is rebuilt.

The exact number of nuclear warheads is a state secret and is therefore a matter of guesswork. The Federation of American Scientists estimates that Russia possesses 6,800 nuclear weapons, while the United States has 6,185; Russia and the U.S. each have 1,600 active deployed strategic nuclear warheads.

This year, possibly spring, Russia will overthrow Ukraine. Crimear was part of Ukraine and no one did anything when Russia took it.

Nothing will happen when Russia takes the rest of Ukraine. Only threats and hot air...

USA will loose WWIII. Russia and China will overthrow USA.

USA is no longer a world power.

Probably going to shake out a lot like before ww2.

By that I mean appeasement all around.

The west will let putin and kim and xi do what they want. Strong words but no actions.

And honestly I'm fine with that as far as the usa is concerned. I don't want to be the world police.
