I think The Senate Democrats used a Filibuster tactic to block new sanctions on Russia yesterday !!!!!

Does anybody have legitimate "reasons" why Democrats did this in the face of what's happening at The Ukraine Border???

SENATE DEMOCRATS BLOCK BIPARTISAN BILL TO SANCTION PUTIN’S PIPELINE

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), today voted with 54 of his colleagues for a bill to impose new sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline, which runs between Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea. The bipartisan majority of senators failed to meet the 60-vote threshold necessary for the legislation, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), to pass the Senate.

Sen. Sullivan spoke on the Senate floor shortly before the vote, criticizing the Biden administration for upending the long-standing bipartisan foreign policy of making America’s European allies less vulnerable to Russian energy blackmail, and calling out many of his Senate Democratic colleagues for rescinding their previous support for Nord Stream 2 sanctions in the 2020 and 2021 National Defense Authorization Acts.

Europe and Russia recently signed a couple of major trade deals. One of them was a major oil pipeline agreement.

As usual, CNN is full of sh'it.

European and US power hungry government specialists instigated the ukraine to ally with them in the hopes that we and Europe could put weapons close to Russia to be able to attack them in a way they could not defend themselves as well, threatening the security of Russia.

Who started this conflict?

The Ukraine is a buffer zone for whomever controls it.

It was a strategic move of the west to take the Ukraine away from being allied to Russia.

War games. I doubt if the citizens of the ukraine benefited at all from the change of alliances.

Russia apparently is a genuine threat to Ukraine, and by extension peace in the region.

It seems many americans do not care at all about the countries their government destroys. Many of them support their government torturing and imprisoning people innocent of charges.

China Briefing - China US relations

Pick one from the long list, there's plenty to choose from. Enlighten yourself, I'd personally choose to research a joint condemnation or statement from collaborating nations, that said there's plenty of US orientated activity to choose from.

I also said I don't watch American news as it's hyperbolic and often rather ridiculous although a quick Google search can find me plenty of articles from CNN that are critical of China. If Google scares you duckduckgo will give similar results.

Being a partisan US citizen might be blinding you from the facts or it could be your opinions don't align with reality. No stress for me though I'm non-partisan and I'm not a US citizen. My personal opinion is that both our nation's are too soft with China.
