UFOs as laser projections from parallel universe - peer reviewed hypothesis

Eugene Oks published a theory to explain UFOs in the International Review of Atomic and Molecular Physics in 2020. I'm not sure it has been discussed here.

In a nutshell, the hypothesis is that some UFO phenomena, particularly those involving unfeasibly high velocity manoeuvres and near instantaneous appearance and disappearance, "could be three-dimensional projections of light incoming from the fourth dimension", in other words, "four-dimensional electromagnetic radiation".

So the source of light could be located and controlled in a parallel three-dimensional world by a three-dimensional, relatively advanced civilization that developed the capability to manipulate electromagnetic radiation in the way described above. By projecting the light into our three-dimensional world and detecting the reflected light, they monitor our technological capabilities.

Curious to know what others think of this.

The biggest problem, it occurs to me, is this provides no mechanism for real time interaction between "alien craft" and ourselves.

Strange theory imo. That implies not believing the countless people that have experienced a abduction scenario.
Or all the UFO footage, that shows something physical moving around, lasers from another dimension would not be my first guess. I am more for human time travelers from a future long time ahead of us, or another race from another planet, always had a hard time with the "another dimension" theory, we have not even proved those exist yet.

There could be another possibility of what we see in the skies….it to is a projection.

I suppose it doesn't rule out other explanations applying to other accounts of unexplained phenomena.

That technique would extend the idea to physically manipulating atoms here on earth via the lasers projected from the parallel world. The time lag still looks like a game stopper though.

So basically this is like a pet chasing the light from a laser pen. Then again, given the technological advancement other civilizations have, that may not be far from the truth.

Except that, if it rains, the projected object does not get wet. If the winds blows, the leaves of the projected tree will remain static. If a seagull happens to have a # on the projected object, the # will fall to the ground traversing through the projected object. No matter from which angle you view the projected object.

That's what happens with holograms. Always.

This for me creates the question could this phenomena be purposfull or just accidental. That is are these light radiations from another dimension just part of the overall dynamics of a more complex reality than we have previously considered or could they be purposeful impositions onto our four dimensional time space.

That first possibility is just ''it is what it is'' and maybe we could use this potential information to further our own understandings of reality. However it is is the second, that they are purposeful as the quote opens up to with the suggestion that they might be ''monitoring our technological capabliities'' opens up a whole other can of worms.

If we are to entertain this suggestion of inter dimensional projections then we should also entertain the notion that these could be the same or similar to projections that go back to ancient history. The drawings of light forms and saucer shapes known to have been done centuries ago. If so, why would there be any interest in our technological capabilities way back then.

I can see it now, that at some time in the near future we might be advancing to a point where our own capabilities could infringe upon their dimensions and that these observations are necessary for their protections. But thousands of years ago?

So I think that I could entertain the idea that they are just natural inter dimensional projections, even to the point of considering them to be holographic. But the idea of motivated intervention or even just observation is one that remains open to our conjecture. That is What the fudge are they really on about. All this watching, all this hid and seek, all this '' nah nah, can't catch me stuff that leaves us all here in these dimensions as lost and confused as we have been without them all along. That's the question I have always had since my first sighting 65 years ago. I didn't know then and I don't know now, and neither from what I have ever read does any one else.

Well while staying parallel universe here I am going with time travellers and interdimensional travellers (some accidentally).

Jesse Marcell once showed a woman whom was doing a story on Roswell some symbols he recalled and drew for her.

She recognized them but could not place them so did a search and found that they were almost identical to a form of writing (not Latin) that had once been used during the time of Ancient Rome and was able to translate them to having meanings such as flight, power etc.

So if something physical can exist I would say not lasers BUT in the peculiar world of quantum mechanics if you can entangle energy and matter is just energy in another state it may be possible to use photons somehow to entangle a field which surrounds a craft and then displace it and of course as twisted photons MIRROR one another you would have to do this twice or have a MIRRORED version of the entangled ship appear and of course Since the aperture slit test suggests that photons split or otherwise can pass between near parallel reality's it may then become possible that a craft so translated between locations COULD also accidentally end up in another parallel reality but likely not by design.

Anyway fascinating thread.


So Roswell, possibly a TERRESTRIAL craft from another parallel earth, one with a radically different time line and possibly one further into the future than our own likely one were the Roman empire or at least it's civilization continued long enough or else passed through an industrial revolution at a far earlier point in there relative history, since the pilots were no longer what we would call strictly human but also remembering that in a Roman world that did not become Christian ethic's would have meant something very different and they likely would have had SLAVE testing were our world has Animal testing they could also have developed genetic engineering at an earlier point in history or else are from a point in history far into the future of such an alternative earth and are what THAT earth's form of humanity became after generations of mutation and self experimentation.

It is possible that we live in a narrow band of reality and that there are higher intellects that live in a Broader band of reality seeing and experiencing more of reality than we can, such beings may be invisible to us or may look just like us and walk beside us every day seeing us as king of like sleep waling simpletons.

I don’t disagree with hologram fundamentals you’ve laid out….however, we are, for the purposes of projecting craft in clear sky’s as well as cloudy or cloudy rainy skies….that the projection seen by the viewer would be seen at hundreds to thousands of feet up as well as distances in miles. So, even if the projection is in the rain…..I hardly think that the rain falling through the craft would be discernible to the viewer…..once again, height and distance dependent.

Well??????, From my readings I see that the search for GUT and TOE are still to complex to nail down to simple human comprehension.

Interesting, but I think it covers only a certain percentage of the phenomenon.

As some have observed, there seems to be more than just holograms in the sky.

As some pointed, extra-terrestrials are a possibility, as are time travellers from the future, but I also have another possibility.

Indigenous creatures coming from our very past. We know the dominant life form before the mammals were the dinosaurs. They ruled for much longer than us. The possibility of them having opposable digits exist with the newly discoverd "monkeydactyl", and surely, some of them ended up growing larger brains.
Imagine all the time they would have had to develop technology beyond our comprehension.

Let's not forget that "reptiles" or "lizards" are part of many ancient cultures. And there are places we, humans, are not allowed to go because it would be too dangerous, on Earth.

I've come to think of the Planet of the Apes as an allegory of them coming back to Earth and finding that monkeys are now "ruling" the world.

k it's a real one) the laser beams are used as some sort of lighthouse contact for coaxing down ufo orbs of various colour types. Reds use the laser projection both as the attraction of other orbs, also in scanning the Earths ground and to this day bearing in mind it was 2006 I genuinely have absolutely no idea why

It is a interesting possibility.

But we would probably never have any other interaction with them besides sightings until we are them.

What would happen to the timeline if we obtain technology from the far future ?

Would it endanger their existence ?

These things break my brain just thinking about it.

So, because UFO’s exhibit abilities beyond our accepted understanding of physics some need to find a convenient, if strange, explanation.

The explanation is simple. These craft create their own field, within, but not constrained by, local space time. Therefore the manoeuvres they exhibit are perfectly reasonable within their own field bubble.

Gravity is and always has been, the key.

Would be a possible lead into the more high strangeness, or phantasm like aspect of the subject. Especially since some give off an eriee kind of luminescence, an just appear, disappear, or in some instances, reappear a few times, or change colors.

As for a mechanism, I'm guessing you would mean how could it interact here, from way, way out there in the ether. Combination of ether two, or 4 or more fundamental forces of nature, that are too feasibly small, to be feasible?

Star trek has a holodeck, and one hell of a convince machine, while Superman has a villain that uses lights an mirrors.
