They specifically said it was to prevent the return of tyrannical government.

They had JUST won a long impossible war against the most powerful military in the world at the time, after a very long struggle because the british king had long been restricting the colonists from owning anything but the most basic firearms, and only in small numbers.

They also didn't foresee modern weaponry.


It also probably made it easier to not fund a standing army, but they made it clear that the return of a tyrannical government was the reason for #2.

In fact, most of the first 10 were direct responses to the way they had been treated by the british for so long.

They were the exact demands that they had earlier made of the king, that eventually led to the revolution.

Intended as protection from any future government doing it again, like democrats are attempting to do today.

Those first ten must really be read from their perspective to make any sense today.

Agree with this post. It's so painfully obvious that HCQ and Ivermectin work. And it's obvious that they are being suppressed with purposefully done fraudulent studies. There was one published in the lancet, showing HCQ could cause heart attacks, and it went mainstream. What did NOT go mainstream, is just a few days later, the study was pulled from the Lancet, discovered to be fraudulent, where they used FIVE times the amount of HCQ, and only on end stage patients. Surgiphere, who did the study, could not even be FOUND after it was pulled.

People have a hard time fathoming this kind of evil is out there, which is why a lot will reject this. But the evidence is in and it's obvious.

The reason that they didn't want a standing army was because they were afraid that it would be used by a tyrannical government to oppress the people.

The thing about standing armies is that they need paying, and armies at the time had a habit of rebelling when money became an issue.

The last thing that they wanted was for a powerful or charismatic figure to have an army of their own.

Viagra improves circulation, which in turn improves tissue oxygenation.

It doesn't fight covid, but it might help people whose lungs are damaged.
