All I saw on TV was that Baiden's lips were always curling up as if he was the tough guy.
Putin did look very diplimatic though. And did show restraint of any negatives emotions toward Baiden.

What happens if Russia decides to take Ukraine and China decides to take Taiwan at the same time?

No agreement to help each other or anything militarily, just a simple agreement to make their moves on the same day.

I doubt if there would be much of anything the US or NATO could do in response. A nightmare scenario indeed.

Thankyou for the reminder about Taiwan/China.

China is threatening certain death to any protestors from Taiwan who attempt to disrupt the Beijing Winter Olympics in February.

No.
Putin was being a "diplomat"

There is a real risk here of Biden triggerring WW3 by sheer incompetence, bravado and hubris.

So that's why Putin requested a follow-up call with Biden? To essentially tell him to back off?

What happened to the old days when the conversation "tapes" would be leaked to the press?

Now is when we need to hear what really transpired. Compared to Trump, Biden is freakin dangerous!

Surprised Biden didn’t talk about crossing a red line like his old boss.

It was still tottering last year, when Obama made an even more unwise remark: he said that any use of illegal chemical weapons by Assad would represent the crossing of a red line, which would force the West to act.

www.dailymail.co.uk...

Maybe he did. Biden's White House publishes transcripts, but they're at a 3rd-grade reading level.

Perhaps he see's Biden as unpredictable .

When there is a Camera and a Teleprompter around and Biden has his handlers in his Ear , He is good ol Mr.Democrat lets just tell the people what they wanna hear Biden .

But perhaps when he is faced with a real World situation like the One in Ukraine , Perhaps then an Unscripted Joe Biden is down right dangerous .

This is all speculation of course , but the only people who really know Biden are the ones behind the Curtain.

The Monarchs of Europe clearly have no problem having their land pitted with craters once again. It seems the Russians have a better memory than the people of Europe. As Americans we don't give a damn because the only one of our folks going to be dying are the volunteer fighters and a bunch of machines. Even the Russians cannot reach out and touch our mainland without the use of nukes. Europe on the other hand, just pick a mark and they can hit it.

Biden told Russia to sell oil to Europe and Putin complied. It's too bad Joe doesn't know much about U.S. affairs.

If you look at the situation objectively it doesn't seem all that remarkable.

An unpopular Joe Biden can't stop Russia militarily; even supporting the Ukrainian to heavily militarily would probably lose Biden some more of those approval points he can't afford to lose right now. He does have the ecomic power of the west he can muster to the cause but that power has wanned over the last decade. If Biden asks the western world for to much economically right now; many countries might tell him 'No'.

Putin doesn't want to occupy Ukrainian; occupations become unpopular fast and they cost a lot. He does want a fearful Ukrainian and NATO to back up; so his militarily build up accomplish that. Putin does have to keep the support of the oligarchs so he does have to avoid more and try to decrease western sections.

Each man has a different line to walk; so they are dancing with each other. Putin is trying to push were he can with out pushing to hard. Biden is trying hold himself together while being pushed.

Thank-you for the strategic analysis and education. All I know is what the news headlines publish and talking-heads discuss. You're obviously very well versed in foreign affairs. Thanks again for sharing what you know.

he got what he wanted with the pipeline, improving his economy and giving him huge leverage over europe, flip side he appears to back down in ukraine and biden gets a victory to distract from the huge boon he gave putin.

Yeah.
Not buying what the western MSM is selling about that "meeting".
Didn't seem to agree with what I saw in RT.

The whole truth?
Who knows.........

RT = Russian Times newspaper???

yes, in chronological order
Russia reveals what Putin asked of Biden
5 key takeaways from Putin-Biden online summit
Putin & Biden have unfinished business – Kremlin
Putin reveals what he wants from next meeting with Biden
Putin and Biden hold phone talks as NATO tensions soar

ETA
My big takeaway?
Putin wants to meet Biden in person.
[oh, to be a fly on that wall]

Are the official transcripts and recordings available?

Maybe Lt Col Tubby Vindman can take over the Ukraine negotiations for Biden?
He lives in about the same fantasy land that Biden does.

I think Alexander Vindman is now a Biden-appointed diplomat, isn't he?

It's a ruse !!

Russia has so far gotten big returns on "Biden" 😸

Putin says Trump was "colorful", but Biden is a man he can "work with".

So mysterious sounding!

Biden has been putting Putin in his place for many years. Check out this article from 2009.

Our evening news reported that Putin appeared to be removing military equipment after harsh words from Biden; turns out he was repositioning his troops.
Many different sources have said there is evidence of the US and Germany are arming Ukraine with military equipment via NATO.
It's obvious the western world is going to only get a half-truth version of what's really going on.
Really tough, brave men have no need to brag about it; only cowards do. Putin in playing Biden for a fool, and the MSM is doing everything they can to vilify Russia while trying to make Biden look like the worlds' savior.

While the MSM keeps lulling the world to sleep with their lies, Russia and China toast our ignorance. They will make their move when they're ready; when there's nothing left the rest of the world can- or will- do to stop them.

If you were dealing with someone as patently stupid, corrupt, degenerate and demented as Biden, that has access to nuclear codes, wouldn't you humor Biden to some extent. You don't want that idiot getting pissed off, walking up and saying, "Hey, what does this red button do?"

Cheers - Dave

OK... so your opinion is that Putin is just "feeling out" Biden's administration to see how tough they are. He already knows Biden himself is (mostly) all talk?

If Putin went into the Ukraine, Biden would probably order the military to nuke the hell out of Putin's troupes in Ukraine, destroying half of the Ukraine for many years to come. I hope they got someone monitoring Biden's direct line to the Pentagon to stop him from doing something demented.

I bet there will be a centralized clearing house that all video from every visiting nation must flow through, for approval.

If anyone is killed by the Chinese police or military for actively protesting the Olympics in Beijing, the world will never know.
