It's only going to get worse before it gets better.

There are parts of this country that look like we're going through the '30s in some ways. You're absolutely right that there are jobs for many unlike during the '30s, but we have shortages and disruptions and all manner of other issues.

We also have to consider that many on the streets are addicts to the point where they can't hold down jobs or they have mental illnesses or both that make regular life pretty much impossible, and until society as a whole gets a will to really do something for them which would likely include some type of forced housing/treatment situation, this is reality.

Totally agree because what we are doing now isn’t working, hasn’t worked, but I think some like it that way.
There are people getting a rich easy life off the addictions of others and they don’t want to change that.

Well...in retrospect...grocery stores now have electric cutoffs on the wheels so you cant take the carts off the property. Try, and the wheels lock up.

Not necessarily. My wife is an Guidance Counselor Employment Peer Specialist for former recovering addicts, psych patients. ADD, Autistic, sex offenders, drunk drivers in halfway houses etc...

You dont know what anyones problem may be. Just because you and I can....doesnt mean everyone can.

I suffered a brain injury in the 2000's. You can't tell from looking at me that there's anything wrong.

People need to stop judging based on looks.

Now when I interact with people, that's when you can tell something happened.

I was just talking to a coworker the other day about this and they didn't believe me. At the gas station that was a block away from our house where I grew up (this was mid to late 90's so I was in my early teens) my mom would send me and my sister in to get her smokes and lottery tickets. The people there knew who we were and my mom so they just let it slide. Now where I work currently we are scanning ID's of people in their 70's and up due to company policy, we have to scan and check everyones' ID no matter how old they look. Fricking wild.

It's like delivery services which leave your parcel by your door, and sometimes it is stolen. Who'd have thought there'd be thieves out there?

Yea, not sure what nerve I hit there. Are we no longer allowed to use descriptive words for people.
The dude looked homeless, there is no other way to put it. He literally looked like he lived on the streets. Is that taboo now to say someone looks homeless?

I also was not putting down take out people. I said that because the guy had that big bag. If I showed a photo of that guy to people, 100% would say that is what he was doing. What else do you think a person is doing walking into a restaurant with a big bag, and rushing out with a Togo order?

Ps. I myself worked in the takeout field (and every type of restaurant job) in the past so if anyone thinks I’m belittling that I’m not.
