Seems the "new normal" people are the old conspiracy theorists

We have people in the UK saying because the public went into shelters compliantly during the Blitz, the public now ought to submit to these draconian measures now. The depths that old conspiracy theorists always believed was going to happen in some fashion, is very similar to those of the public and media pushing the current narrative. Everybody says all the time "the world's gone crazy" and it just might be happening.

I honestly couldn't care less what some random stranger glues to their face or not. But I assume you wanted to discuss something, I just can't figure what that might be.

Generally is in my youth conspiracy theorists, weren't as hip as they are today, thus the tinfoil hat, well because of the nutter CT perception at that time. Now a lot of those characteristics seem to be symptoms of the new normal nutter people.

and please continue the discussion I got a long night ahead... it keeps me awake

Wouldn't surprise me though..since ANY tactic seems to be OK according to BAMN.

I've been trawling on ats for the last almost 15 years because i love a good conspiracy. Getting to know the opinions and breaking headline responses.

I dont really buy into much of it, for me it seems mostly distraction.

Then BAM 2019 happens and you are right....most people i thought as normal are spouting all sorts of bat # crazy theory and agendas.

Its one thing to discuss these things online, completely different when family members are talking like they exist in another reality.

I enjoy the debate, but i find all too often people dont want to debate...they have their minds fixed on the conspiracy and refute the facts.

Rough times ahead i reckon

I think the pertinent points from Jung are quoted in the post, I do not think every line in the whole link is or isn't as relevant to what our citizens are being subjected to currently. Which is a 2-year bombardment that could easily affect persons of a certain psyche more intensely than others

Of course it is more likely it's like that Quiet Riot song ... it's not like the old conspiracy that were suspect all of sudden got healthy not to mention they procreated as well.

I don't put any stock in Jung or his theories (I have no opinion either way, as I'm not read), but, having said that, I think we are GLOBALLY in for more than a 2 year surprise.

Well, it's because you and I are more intuned if for no other reason ATS. If we have any chance of persuading others we perhaps ought to speak their language and use their icons against them so to speak.

At least it's my theory.

Personally I believe it's like a more complex version of the fight or flight impulse, turn towards authority or away from it in times of crisis.
So the difference with those people is clearly that they're suckers, sucking up to society, to authority, while old CT were loners mostly who couldn't care less about society or authority.
But what we see now and historically in reference to Jung and the Nazis: suckers are way more dangerous.

No worries, I fully admit it was edited after your post and I do value your opinion, I was in the middle of an edit. I routinely when posting late out night throw thoughts out there in sections. Especially when I find something that may stimulate discussion. I was genuinely surprised by the quick response.

I did not know that, as a child of the 80's Quiet Riot was my first introduction to the tune.

That said after listening to both back to back I prefer Slade's original rendition, just saw where Slade also did "Cum on feel the noise". Makes me wonder are they related in anyway

This isn't a Great Reset, it's the Great Inversion - a process begun at least under Obama but went in to full effect in2020. The truth is now vilified to make lies easier to spread. I find the picture of the overdressed and overstressed woman truly sad and even worse representative of much of the mindset of the public. Imagine someone sky diving but doing it from inside a clear plastic bubble just in case their parachute doesn;t open. Extra layer of security that prevents their chute from actually deploying. This is the state of logic going around today.

I’m legitimately surprised we haven’t had a doomsday preppers covid 19 special on the history channel by now with all them crazy assholes saying “Haw ya see We was right all along ya see ya see, har!” Where they are all hanging out in their bunkers ordering # on Amazon.

It isn't bunker time yet, and those with bunkers would be rather foolish to brag about it now.

A 'reality' show might be fun though, would be the first I'd actually watch.

There was a reality show called “doomsday preppers” and they did do ridiculous # in their bunkers “training” for all kinds of bull #. That is exactly why I am surprised the history channel hasn’t been cashing in on that with covid special’s doomsday preppers

When a government's idea is to track, monitor, restrict and subjugate the population they mean the whole population, they certainly would frown on shows portraying freedom and self-reliance.
