Damn, really sorry to hear that. I've had some challenges getting proper treatment because of this nonsense as well, but nothing like this.

It really is criminal what all of this faux panic and overreaction has done. The damage it has caused to people's physical health, the increase in mental illness and suicides, the stunting behavioral and educational development of children with pointless school closings, I mean the list is endless.

And we were warned about all of it early last year. We were told those concerns were unwarranted, conspiracy theories, anti-science. Now, seems every time you turn around there's a new article in The Guardian or one of these other progressive outlets about the unintended side effects of the Covid strategies that "no one could have seen coming."

What utter bull#. This will go down in history as one of the biggest failures of the medical community of all time, the vast majority of them just went along with this government overreach groupthink.

The nfl is seeing lots of cases so they are going to stop testing unless you are unvaxed. So they don’t care if a vexed person spreads it. Can one of you paid establishment hacks explain this to us uneducated peasants?

I predict this post will be ignored.

It's funny, these are "just anecdotes" but you hear an awful lot of them.

For the record, progressives love anecdotes. Ask them about all the "evidence" they've seen of climate change. All you'll get is anecdotes, because most of them haven't read a single climate study.

While companies like Amazon and big pharma might have profited in some ways we also need to remember that the people who own them have lost out in others because they have their fingers in a lot of pies. So this pandemic hasn't really benefited them all that much. They've seen profits shift, but their wealth has only really been increasing in line with consumer spending, not above it.

It's a good time to own an online gambling business, but a bad time to own a physical casino. And the people who own one often have stakes in the other.

The idea that this is about "control" is also a little suspect. If you run an Amazon warehouse then that "control" is control that's being enforced against you by the state. Social distancing and mask wearing aren't good for your profits. They're also not good for your profits if your a Hollywood insider whose busies model involves people spending cash on expensive theaters, not cheap streaming survives.

If we look at things form a local perspective no two states are enforcing the same regulations, and no two countries can agree on what to do either. You've got California with tight restrictions sitting next to Arizona which has very few. They're clearly not coordinating things with each other.

It's even starker when you look internationally.

Greece, Italy, Spain and Germany all are historically fascist or nationalist, and are locking down hard. While the UK which has always been more libertarian isn't locking down very much despite being ground zero of a super size Omicron outbreak. So we're just seeing countries reverting to type as they usually do in a time of crisis.

I've had my booster, it was paid for with my taxes so I'm taking back some of what they owe me. Even if it only provides the low double digits of extra protection it's still likely to add up to a couple less days sick in bed if I do get it.

I can't speak for everyone here, but round these parts there are a lot of folks who really don't want to lose a couple of shifts because they're sick. The booster could be the difference between them making mortgage payments and them missing meals.

Anybody can just make up an anecdote about an unnamed person in a mystery state doing something that's not really described. They tend to be written to target your emotions, not your critical thinking, so I tend to file them under "Feelings before facts".

We've all heard about people with a friend of a friend who was stopped by cops for walking while black, or was followed around by a store detective for shopping while black, or who got beat up outside a bar for standing on a sidewalk while gay.

These covid anecdotes don't seem to be much different.

While we're at it, do you want to know about my friends' cousin's stylist?

He didn't get his shot, and the next day he was abducted by aliens who probed him in a sexual way. This proves 100% that the vax prevents alien abduction.

Anyone can just make up an anecdote, and I don't necessarily trust the ones I hear online, especially places like this where everything is political.

It's a lot different when I keep hearing them from people I know in person, scattered around the country.

Well, if population is 94 percent vacinated, then it is only logical that most cases will be among vacinated. Simple math. Ano nobody said that vaccine prevents getting covid. It does provide some sort of a protection but the main protection is for complications and while not perfect, it does a good job at that.

About Omicron: at the early stages they are only analysing positive cases of people that were abroad. And I doubt that many unvaccinated people fly to Europe or South Africa unnvacinated.

I hear them here then see them in my life. I predicted almost to the day when my mother and father would get sick based on things I have studied after seeing here and other places.

I wish I was wrong. It would be easier not to think and follow the crowd.

Same as with Epstein and Trump.

He made his fortune off of the back of knowing everyone of consequence. He moved in pretty much every circle of wealth and power in the 1990s.

Then he found himself in the prison showers with a couple of reject from the Shwashank Redemption, and he realized that he was about to receive what he'd been giving out on that island. And that none of his powerful friends were going to lift a finger to help him.

What proof did you have to come to that conclusion? Of course you have no proof. Please, come back when you have some. We may never see you again or you will bring BS and call it proof.

It has also been reported that Trump hired Russian hookers to pee on him.

How did that turn out?

It turned out to be false.

Actually, it turned out that he hired Russian hookers to pee on the bed that the Obamas had used when they stayed in Moscow.

Great deflection. What happened on that Island where the children were that Clinton is accused of raping?

That was Epstein's the pedo and Clinton visited pedo island 20+ times according to the data, and you chose to talk about money.

How can you expect your thoughts to be considered if you use made up facts and dodge the real big ones that expose the Commie/leftist scumbags?

It's actually not that simple. It's a matter of percentages. For example, if there's 10x as many vaccinated people as unvaccinated, but the vaccinated are 10x less likely to get the virus as unvaccinated, the number of cases among vaccinated and unvaccinated should be roughly equal.

Now, the numbers aren't 10x and 10x, and the vaccine doesn't really make you less likely to contract the virus, so that's a moot point. However, you can apply that methodology to deaths to find out if the vaccine is actually helping.

Have any "journalists" bothered to do such a calculation? Have the vaccine manufacturers or any of these "experts?"

I haven't seen it. Or maybe they did and the results weren't what they wanted so they didn't report it.

So here in the US, what type are we reverting to? State types. And it becomes a competition and propaganda war.

And still the pols all want their power. And once they’ve been given extra coz emergency, most dont want to give it back. You side of the ideological aisle too.
