It's sad.

I almost immigrated to Australia quite a few years ago. A trip my wife had been planning to British Columbia in Canada by train has been put on hold. Here in the states we're seeing indefinite mask mandates in Oregon and mandatory vaccinations.

The world has gone mad.

Come to Florida, we have NO mandates and our governor won't allow them nor will they allow vaccine passports. You wouldn't know there is a PLANdemic here. All is wide open!

Funny too because we have low numbers. Tells me masks and lockdowns do not work, they seem to make things worse.

Oh, someone you know then?

Did they lose their job, home, or Family because of all the not caring going on?

Australia has fairly good social services. Do you have any evidence at all that she lost her job, home, or family?

we know you don't value you rights or personal freedoms..

we get it.

I do value rights and personal freedom.

There is also a right to life. People who are dead have no rights or personal freedoms. Suicide is a denial of rights.

And then there are what some people see as "freedoms" which are against the law and human morality. This is why the UN framed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to focus on truly actual human needs and requirements.

Generally, things others consider to be "rights", but aren't codified in the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights", people can live happily without, and may times these 'alternate rights' are against laws and are unethical and are a denial of other human rights.

Clearly, someone who would attempt suicide in such a horrible, painful way, purportedly to 'solve' a very temporary and transient situation, has some sort of mental condition.

Also, it is possible that what is being represented in the video, and the associated social media posts, may not be a true account of the situation, and people on these media have faked some fairly elaborate frauds in the past. The fact that there was no other media mention of this, and yet there were apparently people on hand who posted online, and apparently responded to the posting of this video on a not very popular site, and nowhere else, is suspicious.

For the people who are about to loose their livelihoods because they don't possess the latest passports... it's a very happening thing.

My son lives in Werribee. He's not really noticing anything draconian. He commutes to University on public transport when they aren't under lockdown and says that things aren't as bad as some websites and social media are painting them.

I'll get his comment on this tonight.

Is there no vaccine mandate there to function freely in society?

For most Australians, no. This is easy to establish:

Is it true? Are COVID-19 vaccines mandatory in Australia? - Australian Government Department of Health

What you have seen on social media and some websites, is untrue. It is lying propaganda.

It might be a good idea that once you have identified that these people and sites are liars in at least one instance, you should reasonably doubt anything else they say unless it can be verified as true.

None of the 'good Germans' noticed anything draconian either...just sayin.

Yes, they did. About 800,000 Germans were arrested by the Gestapo for resistance activities.

Cherry Kool Aid is the best.

Is it? It isn't a brand that most supermarket chains stock, here in New Zealand.

We do have a brand that is similar, called Raro.

It's weird to see everywhere else freak out about the covid, but here in FL, life continues on as normal, as it has since the pandemic started.

its like two different worlds right now

Don't forget here in MI, either. Spayed & muzzled Dipwhit, and most places give no #s if you have a mask on or not, let alone bother with vax status.

Plenty of Christmas celebrations have been going on here since before Thanksgiving, and we've no discernible boom of sickies. Oh, I know what the news TRIES to claim, but nobody believes it. At all.

Does he notice anything draconian when he’s under lockdown? Has it occurred to him that this, like the patriot act will never go away? Does he wear glasses by any chance? Because when actually free to commute with a mask on your glasses steam up and it’s hard to see whats going on.

My son doesn't wear glasses.

Also, if you fit the mask properly around your nose and then put your glasses on over that, they don't fog up.

I actually use more than one of the metal strips from disposable masks, stuck to the outside of a disposable mask, to ensure that it fits and seals properly around my nose.

If your job mandates the jab here you're not eligible for unemployment insurance even though you paid into it. You could quickly lose everything but I suppose that is the point.

Im not really sure how these mass events are coordinated. But could it be at all possible to direct this volume of resistors to the racist concentration camps, tear down the fences and set them free??
Just keep biding your time my friend, we will find a way to bring those rifles to your people one way or another. Then the chinese troops will be forced to reveal themselves as your fellow citizens with badges will probably refuse to continue this op for them.

I think all of us can agree that cutting down communist enemy troops in our homelands is a perfectly acceptable course of action.

It's definitely not as bad as people are painting things here. I'm a couple of hours away from your son, things here are humming along nicely.

What a horrific event. What a tragedy. I can confirm that this wasn't mentioned on mainstream media. I don't know enough about it to tie it to Australia being like Nazi Germany though.... Pretty long bow. The real issue here is our public health system and all the cracks people can fall through.

Life here in the West of Australia shut off from the world is not so bad. We have had no spread of covid, the economy is ticking along. We only had restrictions once for a week. Life is great unless you want to fly to and from Victoria or other contries.

Well maybe, but the guy in Tunisia set off an entire “Arab Spring”. Maybe this woman hoped to set off a Melbourne Spring.

This is sad its what happens when doom porn is promoted to the mentally ill, They have difficulties dealing with fear and can cause them to react violently.
