capital punishment is stupid , a person who commits a heinous crime should live with their guilt until they die of old age
and they should be constantly reminded of their crimes as punishment

not just locked up or rehabilitated , punishment should be just that , not tvs and ps5's and internet
in box , with nothing but basic survival requirements
in a high security prison on a desert island forgotten by the world or at the north or south pole
so escape results in death anyway.

if you strip someone of their humanity/life then you should be stripped of yours
that is a fitting punishment

Agreed. Capital punishment does not seem to be a deterrent. Just look at the US.

There are myriad reasons for the death penalty. Revenge isnt the first that came to my mind. ‘Eye for an eye’ is biblical as well.

State sanctions death for the most innocent of all humans, when it legalizes abortion on demand. Seems backasswards to me to have legal abortion but no death penalty for the most vile crimes.
