It's coming and fast tell me different

From a historical perspective, war is coming because war always comes.

We've been very lucky the last few decades.

But we'll revert to the historical mean, as will the stock market.

Hope for the best, but prepare accordingly. Nothing lasts forever.

For what it's worth I had this strange random nuclear dream. I was looking at the planet from above. There were nuclear strikes from Chicago all the way east to NYC. All mushroom clouds across the northeastern U.S. Nowhere else in the US. Then looking down on Russia same thing all around Western Russia around Moscow, St. Petersburg. The whole western Russia. Nowhere else on the planet. Just these two areas.

Depends on where you live. Certain parts of the world are still free and open. Unfortunately, too many people are willing to give up their freedoms for false securities. This is also nothing new.

The US government is fighting with itself

Again, this is nothing new. There has been partisan fighting going on for decades before we were here and will be still going on for decades after we're gone. Can't shake the tribalism.

The supply chain is disrupted

About the only thing that's new and concerning. However, most industrialized nations will be able to rebound given enough time and motivation. No one has gotten near to the levels of motivation (ie internal revolutions, mass starvation, lawlessness, etc...) needed yet.

If Russia and China are coordinating and attack at the same time and it looks that way all hell is about to break loose.

I doubt Russia and China could coordinate without it being found out. It could happen serendipitously, or with little to no coordination, but nothing overtly done. Too many moving pieces, too much distrust between the two. One would readily turn on the other if it was a favorable thing to do.

Just my opinion, but that is not what the Chinese or Russians think, I can promise you. The Navy is damn proud of how they keep their fleet rolling under the water. I don't recall any weak sub stories other than the ones the Iranians have been caught using.

IMO, the more probable scenario is that Russia is watching developments surrounding Taiwan. If war comes to Asia and U.S. units are withdrawn from across the globe to counter China, Russia might pull the trigger. Specifically, the withdrawal of U.S. and NATO military forces from Western Europe and the North Atlantic entices the Russian's to invade Western Europe.

Of course, the reverse or Russian military aggression occurring stand-alone are possible, but a regional war might spark WW3, and that logic applies to other global hot spots.

Russia has the new Terminator Tank, T-90. Looks a bit odd.

China has the new hypersonic weapon, a huge leap of technology, also a bit odd.

We have poppy pants as a leader, strangely odd.

Logistics are the enabler for military strategy and operations. Moreover, the Russians love to parade their tanks, but that doesn't disguise the importance of production numbers. The same applies to fuel supplies and maintaining vehicles in war zones.

China has the new hypersonic weapon, a huge leap of technology, also a bit odd.

Don't overlook the strategic threat posed by sea mines. Sea mines are low cost, easy to mass-produce, and can shut down sea lanes. To an extent, the same applies to unmanned craft/drones.
