ABC News Nightline ran a 30 minute special tonight, because 1 Black man was killed by a Redneck who was found guilty in Georgia today.

Just curious (I don't watch the news... it seems to have a detrimental effect on my screen when heavy objects go flying through it): did they mention that the white guy was convicted of murder and faces a life sentence for killing the black man. How about the two accomplices also facing a life sentence? I cheered that verdict. It was just. Am I still white?

Yes and the only reason you aren't black is because you didn't vote for Biden.

Well the Governor and City leaders dropped the ball. Rittenhouse would have never happened if the cops were able to do their jobs and put down the rioters like the animals they were. Real men failed their civilization that night.

As far as the SUV racist, he did that for nothing more than getting street cred. In his pitiful mind, this will make him a famous oppressed political prisoner rapper. In a few years, the media will spin it into just that and eventually he will be a hero to the left. Privately, you know they feel that way now.

When it happens to the media and eventually it will, I hope its as horrific as it can be. Then we can say they brought it on themselves and blame the victim.

It is far too late for any sort of reconciliation in my eyes. We need to separate, however the geography of the situation makes this difficult. In my eyes, the only answer is abolition of the federal government to ensure no state or citizens within a state can impose their will on the rest of us ever again

We also need to rethink how the first amendment applies to broadcasting licenses. Although abolishing the government would also eliminate the FCC, states could pass their own laws against using the newly-unregulated airwaves to pass what is proven to be misinformation. They could also conduct state-sanctioned electronic attacks to deny the enemies of the people access to the airwaves.

CNN, MSNBC and a whole host of web publications hold 90% of the blame for what this country has become. And the likely impending civil war. Time to face the music, pretending it doesn't exist will not solve our problems. We are actively in a civil war.

These governments aren't doing their jobs by a long stretch. What motivation, other than threats of violence from said government, do we have to continue funding them?

"Repeat after me, you are free. As long as you do exactly what we tell you and pay us on time. Don't expect us to actually protect you, serve you or really do anything for you. In fact, we will tell everyone you're a very bad person while downplaying terrorist attacks against you because the people carrying out those attacks agree with us. But if you get wise to this mass robbery and decide not to pay up, we'll send our people with guns after you."

-US Gov

Too bad we don't need them. We have our own people with guns. Just need to get smarter and organize regional and national commands. Interrogate our applicants under Polygraph/VSA stressors to ensure they aren't plants. etc.

WHY GOD WHY WAS THIS ANIMAL ON THE STREETS?

It is utterly infuriating to see the way the media is covering this.

The people of this state are livid, I mean LIVID.

This murdering terrorist deliberately tried to kill as many children, elderly, and everyone in between. It will not stand.

This same scumbag apparently threatened to blow up a casino, what we are experiencing is an aspect of what is known as a color revolution.

The reason these vile POS are on the streets is to cause as much chaos and destruction as humanly possible.

Every Soros connected politicians, justice official, etc is going to pay for what they have created in this country.

We mourn together my friend.

I doubt they will be held accountable in a court of law but they can be held accountable by the public. People need to quit supporting the distribution of the evil propaganda by not tuning into those who are puking out their hatred of the American people and policies that support justice and our constitutional rights.

It is terrible what is going on in the state of Wisconsin. Even more so because that state isn't familiar to these type of crimes. The larger citied states, it seems the norm. Pretty much, Wisconsin is more of a gentle considered state IMHO. The people are surely suffering at this time when they should be celebrating and thankful. Evil knows no bounds and no one or no place is safe.

What needs to happen is EVERYONE shoots at that freak and then no one is clear on who shot or killed them so cant prosecute everyone in the entire town. Sometimes towns needs to round up the bad guys, and do away with them.

Racial turmoil in the midwest is at the top of the Democrat playbook.

They want to do anything and everything to overcome the amount of conservatives here.

They want Illinois politics, everywhere.

Their hope is that Independents and moderate Dems will blame Conservatives for all the unrest.

Fortunately people are not quite as stupid as they think they are, and most Americans are seeing straight through it.

That right there is so very wrong.

Step away from the computer, and the TV screen, my friend.

I work with, shop with, talk with, play with, generally just associate with, people of every race, ethnic background, etc...you get what I mean, I'm guessing.

Not one of them wasn't, isn't horrified by what that ass hat murderer did. Left of center, Right of center, doesn't equate in this case--the vast majority of folks were just as horrified as you, and I, are.

Don't let the minority drag you down to their level. They've won, if you do. I will continue to be friends with, associate with, whom ever I damned well please.

Yes, there are bad people out there, but the vast majority? So not bad--regardless of what we may think of their political leanings.

I think the problem is we have quite a few of those actually bad members of the Democratic party in power right now. So to everyone else, it creates the illusion that Democrat = bad. The truth is that it is exactly that: an illusion.

I consider all political parties to be bad in themselves, mainly due to the inherent nature of following the party lines regardless of what the people actually want. That goes for Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Greenies, Constitutionalists... the very structure is bad. But the people? Not so much. Most of the allegiance is based, IMO, on upbringing and family preferences based on things that happened long before they were a glimmer in their daddies' eyes.

It's the illusion that divides us, not the actual issues. I'm still trying to understand why these few bad people are so intent on creating this divide... all it seems to serve is their own eventual demise, along with the demise of the party they claim to support and the nation that allows them the freedom to spread their hatred. What I do know is that if we the people can only see through this illusion, we can overcome our hatred... but we're running out of time.

Hate waits for no man.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, it means a lot to know I'm not alone.

We were at Thanksgiving dinner with the extended family yesterday and my sister explained that my nephew, her son, had played football with the older 12yo brother earlier this year.

It's just so.... close, all of this.

I was 1-2min away from where AND when Jacob Blake was shot, on my bike. I even posted about it just a few minutes later after it had happened. (not here)

We were looking out our windows the nights of the riots, listening to the radio stations and Facebook groups detailing the caravans coming down from Milwaukee and right through our neighborhoods to protest and riot. I remember escorting our daughter home from her Starbucks shift that night, worried because we heard another caravan had learned of the upcoming freeway exit closings to Kenosha and decided to route directly past her work. (these updates were broadcasted eerily over the radio and on facebook the nights of, it was terrifying)

I rode my bike downtown after the first night and watched as the remaining buildings were boarded up (to this day many still are) and signs erected in spray paint that read, "Kids live upstairs, Not Here!" and "We Want Peace" and "Kenosha Strong".

I remember the daytime car gatherings of out of state plates and young antifa groups at Pennoyer Park, the police riding through occasionally but still allowing them to gather and plan for the evening.

I remember calling the DA and asking him to do SOMETHING, some extreme measure to curtail those who would obviously violate the temporary curfew restrictions. Surely, the DA could announce SOMETHING, right? Nope.

Helpless.

We feel helpless because the government no longer protects us.

And I'm thankful many of you see it as well.

Be careful who you try to "organize" with, please. Keep it close until it doesn't matter.

Often times, the simplest answer is the correct answer. A few top Democrats and Republicans are crooked. Anyone who threatens to expose them, is to be defeated or terminated. Donald Trump has promised for over a decade to get rid of top-level corruption in government.

They got him ejected from power before he could get the top dogs. They're now attempting to get Trump labeled as a FELON (Jan 6th role), so he can't run again for President, or for Congress.

If that doesn't work, its entirely possible top Democrats/Republicans will have DJT killed, to prevent him from coming after them, and to deter DeSantis, or anyone else from coming after them. Fear-driven desperation has no boundaries...or limits.

Hopefully, those of us who have been honest ordinary citizens, will not afraid to do what's necessary to forcefully remove the top people from power, if it comes to that. Like you said, TheRedNeck, there's not that many. A few hundred thousand determined citizens can "correct things" with minimal disruption to the country.

Just like the Taliban did in Afghanistan, forcefully remove a couple of them, and the rest will resign in fear.

It's too bad Brooks wasn't in Kenosha and chased Kyle Rittenhouse last year. Tons of anguish would have been avoided.

I now view those old Charles Bronson movies in a new light. By getting rid of hardened thugs, he prevented a whole lot of FUTURE anguish from occurring. (I used to see his actions as "payback" only.)

We should probably build more big prisons send people there for decades without parole consideration, if they meet certain thresholds for being dangerous.

They city was using plastic "barricades" instead of concert barricades or vehicles to prevent anyone from driving into the parade. Everyone on here should contact their local mayor and demand they use vehicles or concert barricades to prevent something like this from happening.

Won't protect you ANd won't let you protect yourself.

I know it wasn't meant that way, but there's actually something inherently wrong with that statement.

"Won't protect you" implies that one's protection is primarily a function of someone else. It isn't; never has been. Protection has always been the venue of the individual themselves. While I do see the role of the police as protective for the people in general (despite what some courts seem to think), their protective role is and always has been secondary to each person's responsibility to protect themselves.

Let's get real here... the police are not everywhere and cannot be everywhere. Each person, however, is always where any threat against them will occur. They are always with themselves. The primary responsibility to protect themselves is theirs.

"Won't let you protect yourself" implies that one needs permission from some higher power to protect themselves. They do not. They never have. We tend to talk about rights as something that is granted by the laws and the Constitution... they're not. Rights exist simply as a result of being... the adjective "God-given" was intended to convey this. Rights can be infringed upon by governments (and have throughout history, including today), but they still exist even when restricted by outside powers. The Constitution was never intended to bestow those rights, only to specify them and prevent the government from infringing upon them.

The right to protect oneself (and one's family/property) is not bestowed by any document or authority. It exists if we exist, as long as we exist. No one has to provide any type of permission, express or implied, to allow this right to exist.

Think about it. If one is walking down the street and encounters someone who wishes to harm them, who has the power to deny them the ability to protect themselves? No one; it is a decision and a series of actions that the person being attacked simply has. They can hide; they can run away; they can use defensive physical techniques (martial arts); they can use deadly force; they can resist physically. No one has the ability, the power, to force anyone to succumb to an attack, except possibly the attacker themselves.

Even if there is a police officer standing right there, watching the incident occur, does one has some sort of inherent requirement to ask their permission before existing? Certainly not! If that is the case, then the police officer themselves are attackers!

All the government can do (and exactly what the government wants to do) is enact laws that punish people for being ready and willing to protect themselves. No one can stop one from defending themselves, and no one can deny anyone "permission" to do so. To deny permission to defend oneself is to become an attacker themselves.

Again, I don't mean to imply that you intended this, but the wording of that statement, like the wording of far too many statements today, does imply a belief that one must have permission to defend themselves. I believe that is a part of the debate: have we come to the point where we have this deeply-held belief, albeit subconscious, that we need the government's permission to protect ourselves? Maybe we should all be contemplating on that.
