As an addendum, I would like to point out that most of the people spouting that they would take up arms and shoot anyone that came to confiscate their firearms, most likely the ones to drop to their knees and beg the authority that came to the door to not harm wife their children as they humbly handed them over.

As a proud firearm owner (no I don't feel the need to carry every day). I honestly could not say whether I would have a boating accident in advance and lose all but a few to hand over - hand over everything I had - or be overwhelmed with a blind rage and lose control. I really could not say.

I suppose it only depend on the demeanor and actions of the person standing at my front door.

Those that would fight for their rights with that kind of fervor, are not the loud and boisterous ones. They're The quiet ones who keep to themselves, don't talk politics and fly under the radar. Until the time comes they feel they've been backed into a corner.

P.S.
I really hope things turn around in your country. No matter what your beliefs on the vaccine, no matter what laws you arer for or against. Your government could have taken a less tyrannical approach to what could have been a more peaceful process.

Done and proposed right people would have been lining up for the vaccine, feeling like Patriots or heroes.

I wish the best for you and your countrymen, I hope things turn for the better for Australia. As I do at home.

Ask yourself why would any politician pass legislation that would endanger their own lives. The answer is simple they have a gun to their heads.

They are ALL aware and in on these agendas. Why they are all following the same agendas is what is we don't fully know.

Yeah, that someone (or should i say thing) is called an f'ing Global Pandemic... a pandemic that would be over by now if everyone did what they should have at the very start with border closures, lockdowns and social distancing, but hey we had a moronic man baby during that time as the head of the one country alot of others look to for guidance.

My God people should
when they don't even have reality clearly in focus.

Thing is, we're really not that far culturally removed from eachother. I'm not convinced your second amendment rights keeps the government at bay.

I'm sorry I reacted so facetiously I'm just sick of being labelled a coward for "giving away our guns" when it's not true and I'm not sure what the alternative was when it happened (I was a kid) but it's certainly not an armed insurrection against the government to keep semi-automaic rifles.

Take care and all the best over there.

You're alright and like I said to burdman, I apologise for being facetious and getting a bit over the top though also as I said to burdman I'm pretty damn sick of being assumed a coward for something not factual.

Some of what you mention is true though feel like what you have seen i stwisted to fit a narrative. The govermnent have definitely been to heavy fisted in their approach with us.

I need to look more in to Aboriginals being moved to quarantine facilities. Aboriginal people are supposedly a high risk group and in a lot of their remote communities they don't even have a full time GP whilst at the same time I can see why some would be concerned....our government hasn't exacly been too kind to them over the years to put it lightly.

You seem quite level headed, all the best to you and yours over there.

You allowed your freedoms where guns are concerned to be infringed upon. Versus Australia's much more open and free gun laws 30 years ago, yes, you gave away your right to own and carry firearms compared to the USA. I can walk down the street with a pistol on my hip, a rifle slung over my shoulder, and even a firearm fully concealed without any permit thanks to living in Alaska... you can't.

How free are you really? Can you do all that and be naked? What about your bow and arrow or unlicensed slingshot? Sounds to restrictive for me.

In Anchorage, Alaska? Honestly? Yeah... I almost certainly could walk buck ass naked down the street packing whatever I wanted without issue (and would be far from the first person to do so.)

I'm sure some will think I'm talking out my ass, but I'm seriously not. We are wired differently up here. Short of actively threatening others or yourself, not much is considered forbidden here in the Great Land.

I won’t argue the point that y’all are wired differently.

My point is that Incident exposure is against the law in the great state of Alaska, along with carrying an unlicensed sling shot… perhaps it’s not the amount of freedom you have, just how different it is.

Something is weird with this politician.Something is weird with all the western polticans its like someone is hanging them by a thread "Do as we say"

Result, 2 years latter we are only just starting to make a dent in it and the delay and inaction and even out right denial prior (and still) means every things gonna take longer than it should have.

There comes a time when that one monkey chronically tossing crap at the public in the monkey house needs to be taken aside and either isolated or put down, and yeah i just said that. Enough is god damn enough if those who cant get on board in bringing an end to this pandemic refuse to, let em drown they can scream all they want but the boats heading to port with or without you.

Not part of the solution? (hard as some of those solutions might be), your part of the problem... and i no longer care how that makes me sound.

WOW nice for New Zealand with one of the highest teen suicide rate in the world to chime in on what every country, providence, state, commonwealth, prefecture, borough, city, town, neighborhood, family, and individual person should do.

Tumeke, I'm glad you are on an island and have travel restrictions....

Haha you bloody ripper, you sound like my kind of guy! What runic alphabet from, elder futhark?

Melbourne is ok as far as cities go but I’m a country boy and prefer to stay away from the bloody things all together. That said I do want to come and have a look at Perth and WA in general, would love to drive over with the camper trailer.

Haha Indeed elder futhark. Many a sigil I wrote on myself many many years ago.

Perth is a great city. Well depending on where you go. But all WA is great imo. Kalbarri is paradise, except you can't catch a fish since the kailis brothers fished it out. But if you like camping, good people, no menacing pedestrians, and a great attitude from all, it's a good spot. Spent a weekend in Jarrahdale a few years ago, too... My god, dense bush, ants the size of cockroaches, but it was sublime. I could live there. Something about being surrounded by nature, grabs my soul. Not this insipid urban electronic life most of us live..

I remember as a kid going to freo, Victoria Quay, I think, and standing on the edge of the rocks with mum and dad, catching plenty of fish with my rod.. Baiting worms we'd dug up, or bits of steak dad said worked.. Using spark plugs as sinkers haha. Now they've upped the whole place to be a bit less casual.. thanks America Cup haha... Go there now, it's packed with yuppies, but still..

Mandurah, heck even Rockingham, we used to go fishing, but we did it more for the 'get up at 4am, drive out there, come home at 7pm' day rather than to catch.. too many industries there, most of the fish were full of toxins from the billowing stacks.. But those were the days a good 40 years ago.

Ever do come to Perth mate, I'll shout ya a beer !!

Haha good old self done tattoos. I’ve got a custom made hunting knife my mate made for me (looks like it was crafted by eleven smiths in middle earth!) with runes that look like they spell my name. Love runes and have a few books on them.

All of those places sound amazing, my favourite thing in the world is exploring places I’ve never been. What’s the deer hunting like over there? Not as good as here is what I understand.

In my area we have the largest waterway in the Southern Hemisphere, beaches, rivers, alpine regions, rainforests and bush- absolutely Gods country and cheers for the beer offer if you’re ever in eastern Victoria I’m happy to reciprocate.

I had to lookup the slingshot thing, seems it is specific to Haines... For the record, I HIGHLY doubt the state Supreme Court would allow any prosecution under that to stand. Alaska's concealed carry law allows 100% concealed carry without any permit or license required. Further, the state wrote in a pre-emption clause into the statutes it disallows anyone other than the state, itself from attempting to codify or enforce firearm laws aside from doing so with the explicit agreement of the state, itself (which ain't happening.) The courts here have extended firearm protections to cover most weapons, so the slingshot law in Haines is absolutely a moot law.

It is the amount of freedom we have up here. Honestly, it is. A good example, making weed legal in Alaska was purely done to tax it and give the state and municipalities their cut. The state Supreme Court had already ruled decades ago that privacy rights trumped DEA enforcement except in cases of "extreme" grow ops and large scale dealers. Before legalization and taxation, any Alaskan could grow 8 plants and possess an ounce outside of their home... the state troopers were smart enough to not even bother with someone over it unless they were DUI and the local city cops would get slapped down over it, to the point where the city could even be charged restitution fees by the court over product and plants destroyed or damaged during the arrests.

I'll absolutely argue all day and all night that Alaska is definitely on the freer side of freedom. That said, "progressives" moved here from the Lesser 48 and have actively served as the #1 threat to Alaskans' freedoms. The Righties that move here are rednecks and military... they don't threaten freedoms so long as they are also left TF alone. If Alaska keeps shifting leftward politically, we'll be another freedomless left coast #hole like Oregon, Washington, or Cali before long.

You don't want the Vax? ... "YOU'RE ANTI-DEMOCRACY"!....Because?... Democracy!....

Do any of you remember, when the "law" of a "Republic", was designed to protect you from the "majority" of idiots?

Tell me again about Fascism?.. Then again? I am actually "educated" and actually studied history, ...outside of "school", ... had to, to learn!
I learned Hitler was "Democratically Elected"! . ... That,...Told/taught me everything, I needed to know about "Democracy".

What I never understood? Is why "A Republic" and a "Parliamentary Monarchy", goes to war (a couple different times in history), .. to "Uphold Democracy" around the world?

"Democracy" seems to be the "command phrase" that all pet monkeys do tricks for?

Heck! Even the NAZI Germans believed in, and knew how to manipulate, "Democracy". Thus Germany got HITLER!...Was it really all his fault?

I was under the impression,.... that's why we hated them (Germans). For allowing Hitler in the first place....

If only Germany was like the U.S. of A., A Republic! And had laws to restrain "government"?...

Oh that's right! Hitler was "Democratically" elected....

Love your "Democracy"! And be happy in the knowledge that your fellow "Socialist/Commie", is even more ignorant than you, and his "vote" counts!

I certainly don’t agree with my country and states draconian approach that we’ve experienced though for context, this bloke is the premier of the Northern Territory, one of it not the least populated states (it’s a territory, same thing essentially) and seems to be specifically speaking on people discouraging vaccination in remote indigenous communities where the virus has gained a foothold.

Not cool rhetoric but this is hardly the most alarming person or position in Australia. Here in Victoria things are getting somewhat back to normal.....all be it after being medi-raped and subjected to the passport crap.

Yet despite 'taking hold' in the Northern Territory, there has still been zero deaths there in the last two years right?

None listed on their official gov covid stats website that I can see any way, or from the data google provides when you search using "Northern territory covid stats"

Official NT Government Covid Stats site.

Not doing too bad for a at risk people. The indigenous NT folks must really love that the 'white man' is once again telling them what to do?
Maybe they should play the racist angle/card. Nobody will force a jab if it's 'racist' just like how nobody touches a BLM protest but will tear gas and rubber bullet when Workers do the same?

Regardless. I respect peoples choices. If people want to get a jab so be it. If people do not then that's okay too.

But neither option should be forced upon a person, and yes firing/suspending someone if they don't want it is strong arming people no matter how you put it and try to use the 'it is voluntary, they don't have to take it.... but they'll lose their lively hood and home in the process, but it's still their choice.'
It is holding a gun to peoples head.

Nearly every person I personally know so far who have gotten the vaccinated DID NOT WANT IT. All of them. Every one.
But all said they took it just to keep their jobs, worried they'd end up evicted or worse if they didn't. They all felt coerced by government, media and society fear mongering and threats to get the shots. This despite their views on how dangerous a threat covid is to them, or more correctly isn't.

And while some people I know have been fine so far after getting them, just as many have had some bad side effects, some quite serious.

The one thing they all have in common though is not a single one of them has had covid or knows someone who has had it cos we got lucky in my town and not seen or heard of any cases here the last two years. I doubt I'll see any here in the next 3 months (unless NSW and Victoria border opening refugees bring it with them) and how long are those shots effective for again? Yeah I don't want to take a shot for something chances are high I'll never see for the period of time the shot is effective for.

Any way back on track..... Taking drugs should always be a persons choice and the only people being injected in the NT or any where else should only be those who wilfully chose to do so, without coercion. The end.

His actually a Premier of a State not PM

You’re not allowed to even question vaccinations mandates and mask mandates in Australia. That is an anti-vax position. You will (presumably) be jailed for speaking out against the state.

Jailed? Um no lol

What is happening in NT at the moment re Aboriginals being quarantined is obviously wrong but until you fully understand the housing and health crisis which most of these communities face you probably shouldn't comment. (that ongoing crisis deserves a thread of its own)

I, as well as many people here heavily appose vaccines and mandates (I live in Melbourne the longest lockdown city in the world so yeah) and people continuously making us sound and look like pussy's is becoming abhorrent. Many protests have occurred, politicians, doctors, lawyers and scientists are speaking out, a major Bill the Premier here in Melbourne VIC was trying to pass has been stopped and forced to be watered down extensively and a few mandates and rules put in place have changed and some abolished....because we spoke up. Do we still have unimaginable rules and regulations in place throughout Australia, Yes, but so do most Countries.

To be completely honest, I would have preferred if it was gun against my head... at least then I could have just said “screw you shoot me” and wouldn’t have even knew the difference if they actually had the balls to pull the trigger. Since to state the obvious I’d be dead and wouldn’t know the difference anyway.

What they did was worse, they threatened me with my job. I’ve been poor and jobless before and I don’t plan on going back there.

So whatever! I sold out, rolled up my sleeve and got my second jab just a few hours ago... it is what it is.

I’va been poor and jobless also. And after another period of relative poverty during the height of the plandemic, I’m now working a stable and well earning (for Spanish standards) job again.
I’m unvaccinated, and i will stay that way. My wife is injected and owns a bar. There are plans to force the unvaccinated into house arrest in Spain in the near future, and close all social commerce like bars. Meaning we would both be unable to work.
I will not get that crap injected into my body.. no matter what.
My wife is now trying to convince me to get shot up so i can keep working when the bars are closed but i refuse..
I’m not going to bend over and get this crap injected. Over my dead un”vaccinated” body.
