I havent let the driver of the SUV off the hook. Of course he is responsible. He made the decision, based on his perceived reality, that has been painted for him by the media, and emotionally manipulated into an act of violence based on the false reality promoted to him by people paid richly to do so.

I had to laugh, to be honest -- I haven't watched news on the idiot box in damn near a decade. We don't even HAVE a TV subscription anymore.


if I want to see the weather, or if I G enough of AF about news events, I'll check the local outlets. If it's something more major, I might pay a bit more attention to the national "news" offerings.

You do not need cable to spread the net wide. For example, to get all possible angles to examine, I'll read Salon, AND Federalist -- balance takes effort from readers now if you want to weed out the BS anymore.

Exactly. What if this guy is part of a bigger plan? Parades are such an easy target. Personally, my family and I will be staying away from large crowds and I'm literally going nowhere without my CC. We're perfectly happy hunting and fishing and being with nature. I love living in Wisconsin, you just have to stay North of Madison and Milwaukee.

These kids are traumatized enough right now. I don't think the community is ready yet.

My family and I recently attended a large sporting event and I thought the same thing. I'll be avoiding crowds for a while.
