I missed the beginning of this trial. Did the defence explain, clearly to the jury what self-defense is defined as, according to the law and that the goal of the jury is to decide if Kyle used self-defense as defined by the law? I would hope so. Perhaps it was explained to the jurors pre-trial. It would be really dumb if not.

I know that when I was selected for jury duty, the DA defined clearly what certain terms meant ie "beyond a reasonable doubt" etc.

All Three, Judge, Defence, and DA. None of them explained it the same way.

I'd think that the DA on Mason is to stright laced, More like Law and Order with Cutter as the assistant DA. He's bends and twists the rules more than Jack ever did.

Yup. Perfect 😎

He also said he might declare a mistrial after the jury renders its verdict.

It's about time we get one of these sly judges on our side.

Over the past year that's the kind of treatment the election challenge cases have been getting from judges.

Hope he doesn't render a ruling before reading the motion so he can find out what's in it 😎

I agree - the USA is now DEFINITELY a third world country, in our neighborhood we are one of the few who speak English, sad and sickening. And the attitudes are just unbelievable!

Being some of the only English speakers in your neighbourhood is sad and sickening and that equates to the US being a 3rd world country?

Interesting. Seems a completely logical and intelligent perspective to have....

Yes, it does. You see there used to be a time when immigrants coming into this nation had respect and took the time to learn the English and become part of the nation. The invaders of our southern border are making an effort to become part of our nation, they are expecting us to become part of their nation that they fled.

Being that you can’t converse with them how do you know they have not fled cartel violence etc?

What if they’re Afghans that helped the US war effort?

When I was in the US I met a bunch of Mexicans and got along great with all of them, found them to be awesome people. Even a gang banger or two.

Guess they’re showing the same respect to the US now that the US has to Mexico historically?

Wisconsin has the Castle Doctrine. But that does not apply in this case. Wisconsin does has Duty To Retreat. Kyle did this and was still pursued and attacked anyway.

Kicked, struck with a heavy blunt object and gun drawn and fired at him by a guy not legally allowed to possess a gun...how is this a long deliberation when the prosecution never overcame the burden of proof?

Well, in a fair trial it shouldn’t have been more than a 60 second vote.

Your points are nonsense. They are living here permanently. The reason for them moving here has no bearing on anything.

You move to a new culture and call it home - you used to be expected to assimilate into the culture. That does not mean losing your history, but adjusting your culture to fit within the norms of your new society.

They have clearly moved their third world culture to this first world culture - not in an attempt to blend and assimilate. I would not want to live near a bunch of third worlders either - that's why I live here in the first world. I am betting that's why you probably live in a nice comfy first world country and area as well. Maybe you could move to
a third world country for a bit and enjoy all that amazing culture! Give us reports on how amazing life is periodically when your power is actually working and if you haven't had your electronics stolen yet that day.

Anyway keep defending your original nonsense. I am sure you are scoring major woke points with the other communists.. I mean sjws.

We kicked their ass once, and got a whole lot of land as part of the debt owed cause of the war they started.

Being born and raised 66 years ago 15 miles from the border, I know the history first hand. That commie in Oz is clueless.

You can’t even make an argument without claiming I’m woke or sjw or a communist. You’re the exact same person as the ones you’ve just mentioned though on the other side of ideology.

Same clowns different wigs.

I’ve got people from the 3rd world next door to me that don’t speak English, aboriginals next to them who have a few years ago moved in to town from the mission (you call them reservations there) which is equivalent to third world conditions.

What if the people in your neighbourhood are still learning English and how to assimilate?

Yeah mate you got me, I’m a commie.

Busted.

You clowns can’t even write a rebuttal to someone without assuming because someone has a differing viewpoint they’re woke/commie/sjw blah blah blah.

How do you know history of 100+ years ago just because you were born 66 years ago near the border? Was there a border there prior to European settlement?

There these things called history books both World and U.S. that one might find the answers in. Not all of them were written by the victors of a conflict.

Was there a border there prior to European settlement?

Yes, indigenous tribes claimed territory all through central america all the way up into north america and fought wars over it.
That's what those things called history books come in handy for.

My point is he claims being born near the border puts him in a better position than anyone to know the history.

I don’t even care that much and was just poking a bit of fun if I’m to be completely honest.

All started because I thought old mates assertion that people in his neighbourhood not speaking English amounts to being disgraceful and 3rd world which is a pretty low IQ perspective in my opinion.

The other bloke then jumped in getting all huffy about his half million dollar SoCal beach house so I toyed with him a bit.

Predictably they then start saying woke/sjw/commie which is the exact same thing as racist/nazi/domestic terrorist etc. Like I say, same clowns different wigs

As for borders though, can the likes of the Yaqui and Kumeyaay still move around those traditional borders freely? History is my favourite topic

It's because the jurors and judge are being threatened. Simple as that.

Notice how the judge changed his tune as well? This is absolutely bonkers what's being allowed to happen.

It doesn't matter what "side" you are on here, this isn't right. If this is allowed to happen the entire rule of law will be completely wiped off the plate. No trial moving forward will ever be fair again if this is allowed.

My crazy belief is, the delay in the jury decision is because they are all being put into the witness protection program as we speak. I'm certain they have come to a verdict but it can't be announced until they are all relocated and given new identities. The jury not being sequestered is really strange but it makes sense if my theory is true.

Not up on how Mexico treats indigenous people now, but I do know that in the 1800's mexicans treated them same way that all European and the U.S. treated indigenous people. They took their land and expected them to pay taxes and assimilate. Just as the Aztecs, Mayans and all the others did, as a matter of fact the most of all the Maya still live where their ancestors did. It was a different time and countries were all about claiming land as it has always been since the dawn of time. This give them their ancestral lands and reparations is a relatively recent guilt trip people hatched up in the scheme of things.

As far as the Yaqui and Kumeyaay living in the U.S. now, they are as free as I am in that I can come and go where I want if i can afford it, pay taxes and work for my living. Not sure if they have their own rez now, but if they do they get benefits that they are entitled to. I'm also sure if they got the bucks they can buy all the land and homes they want in their old stomping grounds that's available, just like me.

I missed the start of it as well. I've tried to catch up, and haven't weighed in on what I don't know.

Every time I have sat on a jury, the judge tells us what the legal definitions are, not either side's lawyers. In a courtroom, the judge is supposed to be the neutral party. The prosecution is trying to show us how guilty the defendant is, and the defense is trying to show us how innocent the defendant is.
