No - that's one of my sources. I used that one because it's here and I thought the thread was great.

But at the end of the day, I don't need to "prove" anything to you or anyone else.

It's my opinion based on the facts I have and my incredibly sharp and discerning mind 😎😏

Again, your mileage may vary, etc. Whatever.

BTW - Who do you think is actually running the World Bank? That's where this started...

All those people, one FIFTH of the population of earth, and most their water is not suitable for drinking, what is going to happen? They would be crazy NOT to go to war… This is about survival…

True.

China's situation is not unlike Japans situation during WW2 , America had a throttle hold on Japans access to oil so in many ways Japan had no choice but to attack . Not that I'm condoning the Pearl Harbor attacks I'm just saying it is similar.

And China could invade Taiwan tomorrow and we all know Biden would do nothing .
China consumes about 14.2 million bpd of oil and imports about 10 million bpd. The only imports it gets via pipeline are about 1.6 million bpd from Russia. The rest arrives by tanker ship. Most of that -- as much as 80 percent -- passes through the Strait of Malacca. That's more than half of China's daily consumption. Its economy would soon collapse without that oil.

The U.S. Navy could easily close the strait in a day, either halting tanker traffic altogether -- which would also hurt Japan and South Korea -- or forcing tankers to stay away from Chinese ports. If it restricted itself to a conventional response, China could retaliate against Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and/or Guam, but it would be almost powerless to stop the Navy from controlling the Strait of Malacca.

The USA has excellent allies in the Pacific: Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Taiwan is a de facto ally.

China has pathetic allies, but Russia's the wild card. There's no formal military alliance between the two, however, Russia hates the United States and holds military exercises with China. Would Russia join with China in a conventional war with America? Who knows? It would seem irrational to us since China steals IP from Russia, and China covets Russian territory. But the two giants do a lot of trading with each other and perceive us as an enemy, so maybe they would.

the question is does China hate and distrust the US more or less than they hate and distrust Russia? and does Russia hate and distrust the US more than China? remember China and Russia don't like, or trust each other, going back many decades. mainly over political differences. they have even had boarder clashes, disputing territory (seriously does China dispute territory with every Asian/Pacific country, except North Korea?), with each other. in fact i would compare a possible Russian/Chinese alliance to the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. as in one would likely attack the other without warning, and just a toss of the dice as to which one attacks first. having done this before with Germany how willing would Russia be to do it again with China?
They're allies of convenience; gigantic, corrupt totalitarian states with grandiose imperialistic ambitions. Only one nation can prevent them from realizing their goals. Without a strong America they can do as they please. The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact seems a fairly apt historical analogy. They don't trust each other, but they can use each other for the moment.

Somehow i image your nation will pay what she owes yuppa.

America wont default, your better than that.

I thought it was Russia you lot were trading cyber warfare blows with if im honest.

True, but still we could stiff china because of the cyber warfare and stealing of property. OR call the debt even since they stole alot of tech in exchange.
Not to mention the immense harm they've caused us with covid19. How many trillions of dollars have we spent solely because of it? So many deaths, so much physical suffering, millions of jobs lost, lives ruined and dreams destroyed. China won't even admit the virus originated there, either in a filthy, cruel, disgusting wet market, or from incompetentence at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. China scarcely gets any blame for the virus. Meanwhile, it's in more than 200 nations and at least 5 million have died from it. Any debt we owe China has been more than canceled out.

China would have to launch an amphibious attack to invade Taiwan, which would involve deploying troops along the islands beaches long before they could ever hope to march on the capital of Taipei.

The task of taking Taiwan and holding it is a mammoth military exercise and currently well beyond China's capabilities.

Now an attack via Chinas "Rocket Force" could indeed cripple Taiwanese military, the islands infrastructure, and her ports but to what end?

As to nuclear war, that's just a idiots game, because they will hit your major cities and metropolitan areas in return, and you wont be able to stop but a fraction of the incoming warheads.
Good Lord ... I agree with everything you said. How can this be?

It was a great thread Riffrafter, no doubt about that, and you are free to choose to believe as you wish. Facts and evidence help all the same outside of ones own head.

I think the governments of the member nations have the ultimate decision making power where the world bank is concerned.

As to who "they" are, same people that's been behind the curtain and running the show since around the time of the Knight Templars aka a collection of ancient banking houses and cartels.

End of the day Scapegrace, people are more similar that different.

Seems pretty straight forward as to what would transpire where Taiwan is concerned should China decide to invade.

I think it is far fetched but unless Xi is deposed in a coup it is highly unlikely.

China told its people to stock up on goods for the “winter”
Australia is double dog daring the US and China to go at it.

Biden and China are meeting so there aren’t any “misunderstandings” and clashes.

We’re screwed aren’t we?

I’ve said it years ago on here. War with China isn’t just about Taiwan. China is running out of water!
It doesn’t matter if they have flooding, their water is pure poison. Making all that crap for the world has taken a toll on their water supply. I’ve read 75% or more of their underground water supply is not suitable for humans!!!!!! ☠️
Even in the US we have forever chemicals in our water supply. Now think about China and what is over there!
All those people, one FIFTH of the population of earth, and most their water is not suitable for drinking, what is going to happen?

I think a war with China is coming soon. They're preparing for a massive war with hypersonic missiles and trying to create super soldiers.

I'm not convinced that China are really all that keen to start a war - it's largely sabre rattling. But hypothetically, if they did, it would be awful for the West, Russia and China.

It amazes me how humans fret about the impact of climate change - the 1.2°C rise since the 1800's - when we live under the constant peril of being vaporised instantly. In a full-on nuclear exchange that would likely plunge the entire globe into a nuclear winter. 🤔
