No worries my friend, it was more of a lighthearted comment LOL I didn't convey that well, used to love Rob and Big, and of course Fantasy Factory and Ridiculousness.

As for "the loaded for bear", LOL well my Dad used to say whenever I or my brother would be fighting about something. It was either loaded for bear or don't go off half-cocked.

Some don’t believe Hollywood is preparing us for a hostile alien invasion. They think we are being prepared to warm up to the idea of accepting alien refugees to live here on Earth.

In several shows and movies, we see something happen to an alien world, and whatever citizens of said world leave and try and make a home on Earth.

More often than not it’s one or a family but that’s to show us, the viewer, what our lives might be like if we took in an alien family to stay with us. Never once do these entertainment pieces show the negative effects that this would cause (biologically, culturally, economically, etc.) just that we have to help E.T. and take them in.

They don’t know if they’re already on the way, or if the world government approved this, but I believe Hollywood was asked to show this in different mediums to make us feel at ease and comfortable sharing our planet with alien beings.

It does say something like, humble worm like creatures and microbes bumped them darn aliens off!

WOTW, is a great shaggy dog story...a clever way to end a tale.

Not gonna lie my older sister had War of the Worlds and the Time Machine books and in the '70s those books were read quite a bit WOTW definitely influenced my early thoughts about aliens.

Much like the Time Machines made me think about time travel and the Morlocks...

FFS this programming stuff has got to be the laziest type of conspiracy theory, it completely relies on the fact that the only evidence you bring forward is fiction, and trends in fiction. Find a conspiracy with something more tangible or even find some tangible evidence for this. Simply saying I’ve noticed a trend isn’t a substitute for evidence. I’ve noticed a trend in movies with animated cgi characters and James Marsden…. Where’s that conspiracy.

Think of the availability of food. The world can only support 2.5 billion people who eat like Americans which is already a problem if everybody wants an American diet since there are already 7.4 billion of us.
So how many people can the planet really support?

Indeed, modern agriculture is so dependent on fossil fuels that the food we eat is practically “marinated in crude oil,” says environmental activist Bill McKibben. The vast quantity of oil required to maintain Western consumption is at least partially to blame for its leading per capita carbon footprint. Reductions in the oil supply would curtail food production—at least in the short term.

Shortages of natural gas would also make it harder to synthesize nitrogen fertilizer, which has helped triple crop yields since 1950. Vaclav Smil, of the University of Manitoba, told The New York Times that, without nitrogen fertilizer, there would not be enough food for 40 percent of the world’s current (much less future) population.

And that’s without considering climate change, which could dramatically reduce crop yields in many parts of the world at a time when global food production must increase by 70 percent to keep pace with current trajectories of growth and consumption.

Climate is primarily driven by the Sun and we're almost at peak population, in Europe and most developed nations populations are expected to decrease by up to 60% over the next 50 years. Hence the current stance and rhetoric on man made climate change and overpopulation, it's the last chance to profit from the BS before nature does it's thing.

Don't let facts get in the way of some good doom porn.
