Glen de Vries was killed in the crash of a Cessna 172 he was piloting along with his passenger today. He appeared on the media radar last month as one of the passengers in the Blue Origin space capsule with William Shatner. de Vries was also the co-founder of the clinical trials management software company Medidata. More than 25,000 clinical trials have their electronic data pass through Medidata systems. If there was any single entity that could uncover any maleficence in pharmaceutical company trials, it's Medidata. It always raises my hackles a bit when someone survives something incredibly risky and then immediately dies from something less risky. My theory is that this is one instance where his death could conceivably be Covid related.

Holy crap

'They' love small plane accidents.

A far out there conspiracy theory is, what if he saw something from space, he wasn't supposed to see? Despite all the NDA's being signed?

Something like a giant "UFO" esque space station or weapons platform.

Or even outright shooting?

Well that is very peculiar! At least he went to space and saw the Earth before he died. It would almost make it all worth it.

So the guy survives being blasted into space with Captain. James T Kirk .

And then dies in a single engine Cessna crash .

Irony

Sad yes.
But like everyone said, He achieved everything he could, got to go to space with William Shatner. Talk about nerdgasm for a professor at CMU.

He got his 15 seconds of fame. He got his Pope of the World for 11 days👍🏼

That’s because it will be months before they know anything. These planes aren’t required to carry recorders so they’re going to have to go by ADS-B and radar data, and carefully scrutinizing the wreckage, including tearing apart the engine and checking all the control cables.

Did Medidata find out something inconvenient about those Rona cynical ( oops) trials?

In December 2019, Medidata was acquired by Dassault Systèmes which in turn was spun off from Dassault Aviation in 1981. In March 2021 French billionaire Olivier Dassault died in a helicopter crash...

Looks like it was possibly during a check ride or other flight instruction, per the preliminary accident report.

And it's a good thing to remember that general aviation is about on par with motorcycle riding in terms of safety.

Edit to add: Also worth mentioning that he only obtained his license in May of this year. He was instrument rated. I'm guessing this was definitely a lack of experience situation.

Synchromystic bonus material:

Dune currently dominates the box office. In Dune Piter De Vries is a twisted mentat in service of Baron Harkonnen (De Vries is the architect of the plan to destroy House Atreides).

Peter Rudolf de Vries a Dutch investigative journalist and crime reporter was assassinated in July this year.

Were they wearing Red shirts? We know better than to wear red on a mission.

Coincidences in todays data are rare.....We are left to wonder.
