glowing thing with tentacles in the dark

I want to share an experience I had and like to hear your theories on it.

Last night I went to bed at 2am. My husband was already asleep. I got into bed as quietly as I could because If I wake him up even slightly he will start snoring and I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. (the room was totally dark)

I turned on my left side, my back towards my husband. About 5 minutes later I hear he starts making sounds in his throat, which means that the snoring is going to begin pretty soon. I know for certain that I was awake because I was becoming irritated by his sounds. I turned around, meaning to give him a soft poke so he would turn on his other side and hopefully be quiet, when I saw it.

Above the bed there was a 'thing' hanging there.
I turned on my back looking at it, my first thought was that it looked like a giant ant from below but with more legs, and it were not really legs but more like tentacles moving up and down in a wavy motion.
The thing was kinda glowing with a yellow/orange light. It didn't make sound, only the tentacles moved.
the size of it was about 1m in length.

I didn't feel scared, just puzzled. I remember thinking if maybe I was having a migraine aura (although it looked nothing like that) so I turned my head towards the other wall to see if it moved with my line of vision, but it didn't. It stayed above us, approx 1.7 m above the bed.
The last thing I remember thinking is "wtf is that?" And then, nothing.

I guess I fell asleep and woke up this morning like nothing happened. I didn't even remember anything of it until this afternoon when someone said something to me that triggered the memory of it. But I don't remember when I fell asleep or how long It was there.

I'm still puzzled,
How can I see a giant glowing ant shape floating above me and just fall asleep and forget about it? How can I look at it and not feel fear, or jump out of bed, or wake my husband? I do know that it felt slightly familiar, but I can't pinpoint more of it (if that makes sense)

I know a lot of you will say that maybe I was already asleep and dreaming, or it was a hypnagogic hallucination.
But I know 100% sure that I was still wide awake, I had only gone to bed about 5 minutes before and I was awake and already planning a trip to the couch in my head because of his snoring. I was awake, there is no question about it. I don't fall asleep that fast.

Before I wrote this post I googled it and came up with nothing. Then I searched in DDG and found people who shared the same experiences.

I've had two similar experiences.

The one that your experience reminds me of is that I saw a giant..........umm..
floating.....shrimp? Or shrimp looking thing. That is the only way that I can explain it.

And this is where it gets crazy. I think it was one of two things, I was seeing an ancient shrimp ghost, (like a recording in time) or
that I was in such a relaxed state I was able to slip or view some parallel universe under the sea. I was 100% awake and
not in a dream state!

Fascinating story, weren't there alledged stories from the Hopi tribes of 'ant people" as in large human-sized any looking beings, being the helpers of humanity or something to that effect.

Interesting OP to read.

Giant spiders are demonic. If you see many (While awake) a portal is open. It will be a large dark (Normally circular) which can be easily seen with the naked eye....normally on walls and ceilings. make a circle with your arms...about that size.

Different sizes....

The above applies while you are awake, not asleep.

Yes, twice the 'ant friends' took the Hopi to underground caverns where they were able to survive the first and second world destruction. The first world was destroyed by fire, and the second by ice caused by a polar shift.

It seems seeing bug-like creatures is happening more frequently, for whatever reason.

I used to read UFO and abduction accounts whenever something new hit the circuit, but gave it up over a decade ago. For whatever reason, whenever trying to read an article an overwhelming sleepiness would come over me, and I'd have to stop reading. I'd lay down to take a nap, and instantly be wide awake. Going back to the article would cause the sleepiness to hit within the first couple of sentences.
Occasionally I'll run across something about aliens and abductions, and the same affect is still there. Maybe the section of my brain that holds such information is beyond capacity to hold any more information.

yes, there is one in the nazca lines, but it looks nothing like what I saw
the nazca spider comes closer to it if you imagine it with more legs and the legs being tentacle like

Yes. Humans were brought underground for a while, and ant people led by a spider woman took care of them, then one day brought them up and said to never come back, a brief brief retelling of what I know of the legend.

I've seen things, but I always thought of them as gargoyles, despite looking like demons.

In my mind it looked like an ant with many legs, but when I recall the image, it might as well been a spider (with more legs).
If my mind had made a spider out of it, instead of an ant, I would have reacted the same way you did!

I've been reading up on this topic for the last few hours now and it's amazing how many similar stories are out there, some going back years. Mostly people describe bug-like creatures with tentacles and calling it anything going from angles to astral squids... explanations varying from demons to spirit guides to aliens...

Personally I'm not a religious person
but I do believe that there is more to reality then what we can perceive... and I know for sure that I saw 'something' . Probably won't ever get an answer to the question of what I saw though, but I really hope to experience it again some day

A few years back in 2008/2007. While i was resting on a bed. I remember a seeing an DragonFly come into my room from the light.
How was this possible when all the windows were closed? and there were no presences of Dragon Flys in the area? that made no sense.

What is even more stranger about the event after i saw the dragonfly. It felt a bit more warmer from the top of the light.

It did look like a astral type of one. As it went through the light. I thought it went through the windows.

Yes exactly make me want to find a Hopi tribe once the chit hits the fan, it's my understanding these ant friends
may or may not be as accommodating to Caucasians.

If this was outside I would say that it was a Sky-Fish. Being that this was inside your house I might think that it was an artifact of a Quantum Cavitation episode. That would be where a piece of a dead reality passes through our space in a way that can be seen or in some cases interact with our reality. After one of these episodes happen a latent image of the item can sometimes be seen in our reality.

From my time in MUFON I has been to the aftermath of where a Sky-Fish ate a cow. Those things are pretty big, and from my time investigating Shadow People and accompanying phenomena I can say that these "QC" events do happen. I didn't make up the term, but a physicist at the local University talked about the possibility of these existing.

So, if nothing was messed with from this jelly fish thing then that would be where I would go with an explanation: Quantum Cavitation.

If you're wondering as to why you didn't feel anything about it, it might be due to you subconsciously knowing that the thing couldn't hurt you. Hell, you might have known that it wasn't even there without consciously being aware of the thought.

I believe you, I had a bright orb light appear in my bedroom late one night, it was almost in my face when I woke up. I swung my hand arm under it and it blinked out. I spent the rest of the night, trying to decide what the hell it was? I thought I heard a low whirring sound.

you probably mean well, or didn't explain it well enough, or maybe I understood you wrong, but when you make a post and link 'Quantum Cavitation' together with all the rest you mention, it kinda feels like you are mocking me?

OP i believe you. For what its worth, I went diving near the local nuclear powerplant and now i have a glowing tentacle like thing.

When you say you heard your husband start making throat noises, are they sometimes guttural or like he’s having a nightmare? I’ve occasionally had a presence next to me that almost makes me want to fight or at least scream it out of existence. I often wonder what my other half makes of my noises - if she can even hear them at all. I have asked but she doesn’t remember hearing anything. In my own mind I’m roaring with defiance to whatever this ‘thing’ is, hovering next to or over me. You never know, he might have been going through hell inside as that ant spider squid thing toyed with him.
It’s extremely harrowing for the time it lasts. Then it’s back to sleep… what else can you do?

Not mocking at all. Let me explain it the way it was explained to me;
take two sheets of plastic wrap and spray water on one side of one, then put the two pieces together and press out as much water as possible.

Now if you think of the plastic wrap as different realities, or dimensions. Then the placing of the two pieces together would be as if one of the realities had a vacuum collapse (essentially a situation where the bonds of reality failed causing the boundaries of reality to fail) The remains of the water would be pockets of that reality existing inside of the new reality.

Now here is the weird part that is hard to wrap your head around. If this happened, we wouldn't even know. If a reality collapses then all the time history and everything having to do with that reality is gone. These "QC" might be the only parts of that reality that might exist.

So, no I'm not mocking you, but rather giving you a possible explanation as to what you might have seen.
