The Chicago Police have canceled a "day off" for officers because of possible fallout from Rittenhouse verdict.
Chicago Police canceled a day off for officers because they are worried about issues from the Rittenhouse verdict. "Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara claimed decision made if 'verdict doesn't go positive"
What struck me is the statement "if 'verdict doesn't go positive". What do they mean by "go positive". To me that means that they are afraid of violence if Rittenhouse is acquitted.

Why?
If there are riots, the police won't be allowed to stop them.
May as well give all the police the day off.
"To enhance public safety and to address current crime patterns, all full-duty sworn members will have one regular day off canceled this upcoming weekend between November 12, 2021 through November 14, 2021,"

I completely agree, if I were the police I'd just stay home anyway. What's the point of going out there to deal with people who want you dead when you don't have any power to do anything about it in the first place?? # it, let Beetlejuice reap what she's sown.

But this is Chicago, won't the protestors be shooting each other?
I thought that's how things worked there.

I thought the judge was going to simply "dismiss the case with prejudice", meaning it cannot be brought back to trial again.

If you choose to not decide
you still have made a choice!
