So, we all know the Black Knight hypothesis: it’s either a piece of debris, like a thermal blanket , or it’s an ET sentinel. Can anyone debunk this footage. Looks hokey but I have a budddy why says it’s legit.
Otherwise, I have no opinion on the matter.

Assuming the video is genuine, here are my impressions...

My understanding is that the BK is in a polar orbit, while the ISS is not. Therefore, how is this video even possible?

The BK/video object has bilateral symmetry, so it is not a thermal blanket.

It looks nothing like the other images Ive seen of the "Black Knight" satellite, this looks like bad CGI, and why do they always play the dramatic music BS.

Still though not gonna act like NASA wouldn't lie cause they certainly would if it served their purposes, I find it nearly impossible they don"t know what it is.

Hmmm.. I would almost believe it, until I saw another video from the same user that is clearly CGI.
Makes me less exited. Does not mean the footage is a CGI hoax, but the chance just got bigger.

I'm going to say hoax because their YouTube page posts hoax videos if you look at their other uploads.

Even if it's not CGI, the big problem is that everyone expects it is.

My take on this is that it's an artistic render , why take a screenshot with a cellphone if you directly can do a video grab with OBS?

If there really is an ancient derelict ship or structure orbiting the earth or moon you can bet the X-37B or follow on version have checked it out by now or may have even recovered it.

Why not?

It certainly has room for a modified payload package that can include 1 to 2 space walking astronaut specialist(s) for ship to ship operations with no physical docking, just get close enough to space walk to the Black Knight for investigations and artifact retrieval’s.

Sounds doable…..

(Hypothetical size difference)

Bottom pic is earth retrieval crew….. yellow handheld device is reminiscent of a Geiger Counter

I wish people who are pretending to release leaked footage would refrain from doing stupid things like adding music or adding zoom to the footage when it wasn't there before.

It makes it really hard to determine what is and isn't legit footage.

If they add music i am suspicious right away , if the footage is real there is no need to dress it up nice , it will speak for itself.

Also super low quality video's in this day and age , seems like a convenient cover.

No, that's not what "we all know". The explanation by Armagh Planetarium at the bottom of this post sounds better to me.

Looks like CGI to me.

Since you mentioned the thermal blanket, these are the NASA image numbers of that from the STS-88 mission:

www.youtube.com...
Here's an example from that video but you're probably better off getting the images from NASA than trusting a random youtuber:

Jim Oberg's pdf goes into detail about attempts to claim the STS-88 blanket was the "black knight".

I tried to download your pdf from JamesOberg.com and got a page I'd never seen before saying "jamesoberg.com expired on 11/05/2016".

But I managed to download the same pdf from archive.org using this url, it's an interesting explanation:

STS88 and the Black Knight (pdf)
Jim, good explanation. Unfortunately your link to the Armagh Planetarium story is obsolete, but it's not too far off.
If you remove blog/ from your link, it almost works, but I found to get it to work I also had to change the htm at the end to html. So this is the corrected link which currently works, and explains some more of the history of the black knight mythology, which pre-dates STS-88:
armaghplanet.com...

So although claims of an ancient 13 000 year old satellite originally from a star in the constellation of Böotes, has reportedly been spotted and photographed by NASA astronauts as it travels in polar orbit; in reality this is not the case. Black Knight is a jumble of completely unrelated stories; reports of unusual science observations, authors promoting fringe ideas, classified spy satellites and people over-interpreting photos. These ingredients have been chopped up, stirred together and stewed on the internet to one rambling and inconsistent dollop of myth.

Now maybe we can add some CGI to the jumbled mess alleged to be "black knight".

Thanks for fixing the links, my webmaster overlooked the expiration date but he's fixed it now. Just as long as some UFO group didn't sneak in and buy the URL and who knows what they'd have posted there under my name [grin]!!??

Here's me and my buddy Jerry Ross, the guy who lost a hold of the blanket, discussing it over lunch in Houston some years later....

Nice work. High probability of a nicely rendered cgi fantasy. Not my expertise though.

The basic images are genuine photos and videos of the blanket drifting off -- augmented exactly as you suggest in later videos with CGI of the object next to an inserted shuttle image.
