At the end of the 2020 school year, following protests and a call to cut ties with the Milwaukee Police Department, the school board voted unanimously to end a 15-year contract with MPD, eliminating officers from from patrolling and helping with after school activities. But the schools are still calling 911.
A WISN 12 News records request of calls for service during the first eight weeks of school reveals more than 200 police calls at about a dozen high schools.
