Things that make you go "hmmmmm..."

The two parties are threatened by the growing Independents.

I would suggest that many, if not the vast majority of Independents that are dissatisfied by the Republicans are actually dissatisfied with the RINOs, which is a good thing for the MAGA movement...

See we can find places we can agree and I can accept how right you can be..............sometimes.
The American Freedom Caucus is this start.
And I look forward to many new parties to form as this uniparty stuff is too easy to manipulate using Hegelian dialectic methods of thesis- antithesis-synthesis. I have a republican governor who is democrat in every way including election fraud in the primary. We all benefit from multiple parties.
Governing should be hard fought to get anything done.
Streamlining everything to initiate change for the sake of change never benefits the people but only the ruling elite.

I can agree that Independents and small "L" libertarians have much in common with MAGA voters.

But there are also a couple/few major differences and little to no effort to find middle ground.

The winning combination for many/most Indies is fiscally conservative and socially liberal (not progressive! Just liberal). If a third-party offers exactly that, both major parties lose.

I totally agree. Their smugness... their hubris... their nastiness... it's absolutely infuriating and just plain unacceptable.

What does "EXPEDITED" mean in our court systems? I thought Kari Lake's case was "expedited". I've forgotten what she's challenging now. Hopefully there will be some headline-delivering development before the month ends.

Tuesday. That's the next hearing with the Supreme Court for the Court to decide if they will accept the case.

Tuesday, March 21, the first day of spring.

Here's an analysis of Kari's filing by Tracybeanz on Twitter.

Here's my post with excerpts detailing the legal points Kari is asking the Court to consider.

Today's the day -- Kari's hearing at the Supreme Court. I don't expect we'll hear anything today or even tomorrow. Maybe not even this week.

Kari is holding a prayer rally today from 10:30 am to non PDT if anyone would like to join in spirit.

Baby steps...

Not that I can find. I'll post if I do find a livestream. If others find it first please do post!

Disappointing...

Yes, very disappointing. It would be a public service in terms of informing and enlightening the public.

This may well be history in the making.

This may well be history in the making.

From the evidence I've seen, no court could honestly do anything other than order new elections, a full 'Do Over' of the entire 2022 election across the Board, and from what I've read about the AZ Supreme Court, this could actually happen.

If this were to happen, it would also lay the groundwork for a proper challenge of the 2020 election as well, although that would just be more for purposes of eliminating once and for reliance on all voting machines and any and all processes that make the fraud possible, like the use of Runbeck or any other 3rd party for counting the ballots.

Elections need to go back to being fully decentralized. Each precinct should be 100% responsible for everything for their precinct, from running the voting precincts themselves, collecting the ballots, counting them, storing them and any envelopes that wre used for mail-in ballots, duplicated ballots and their matching originals, permanent storage for the time period required by law after an election cycle, etc.

I don't want to get too cocky, but I think we have a good chance in the Supreme Court. We have had big wins in the Supreme Court before, including affirming the prohibition of ballot harvesting, and affirming the dtate legislatures Constitutional authority over election matters.

I have far more confidence in the Supreme Court than the lower courts.

As I'm seeing this, the bottom line for the Court to decide is if Kari has provided enough evidence/proof to render the election results uncertain. If she has -- and yes, she has! -- then they must rule in Kari's favor and order a new election.

Hopefully also ordering Hobbs, Fuentes and Richer to recuse themselves from executing official election duties and decisions.

If the Supreme Court brings motive or intent into the decision, it's violating the law and legal precedent.

The state legislatures need to learn and inform themselves on all the evidence compiled and exposed in this case, and execute their duties to establish necessary and proper election laws and protocols and procedures. Including actual criminal penalties for wrongdoing by any and all wrongdoer. We need teeth in the law!

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Do you know how long they usually take on expedited cases? Meaning, what is usual and customary?

It looks like the ballot harvesting case was heard in the Supreme Court in March, and the Supreme Court ruled July 1st.

In the case of the state Senate's election authority and duty, it was much quicker, although I cannot find anything right now.

As I recall, the Senate voted to hold an audit in late December 2020, their authority was challenged in court, the Supreme Court ruled the end of January 2021. But I'm not sure if it went through lower courts first or if the Supreme Court accepted it immediately on an emergency basis.

Arizona Supreme Court - 2022 Election Challenge Update

As expected, MSM headlines make it sound like Kari Lake "lost". However, most importantly, KARI LAKE SAYS SHE IS HAPPY with the Arizona Supreme Court's Ruling...

PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Supreme Court has declined to hear most of Republican Kari Lake’s appeal in a challenge of her defeat in the governor’s race but revived a claim that was dismissed by a trial court.

In an order Wednesday, the state’s highest court said a lower court erroneously dismissed Lake’s claim challenging the application of signature verification procedures on early ballots in Maricopa County. The court sent the claim back to a trial court to consider.

Lake said late Wednesday that she’s thrilled with the ruling.

“The signature verification process in Maricopa County is a house of cards,” Lake said in a statement. “Thanks to this ruling my team will get the chance to topple it.”
Continued at: apnews.com...

I hope plans are being formulated in Arizona for preventing the same (or similar) "issues" from re-occurring in November 2024...just 20 months from now.

Thanks so much for posting, Care.

This literally broke a few minutes after I shut everything down for the night to relax with my husband. I'm glad you were on top of it!

I couldn't help but notice that AP turned off comments on their article. That happens quite a bit on any articles regarding election integrity.

Here are more articles from Arizona sources. I notice the usual contempt and mockery by media of anything challenging election integrity is lacking these days... I hope for all the right reasons.

HUGE BREAKING NEWS: Arizona Supreme Court Sends Essential Part of Kari Lake Election Lawsuit Back To Trial Court! – ORDER INCLUDED

Supreme Court Sets High Threshold For Lake’s Hail Mary While Sanctions Still Possible

Arizona Supreme Court approves review of 1 of 7 election claims from Kari Lake

The big win for us is that this opens the door to examining physical ballot envelope signatures and the entire signature verification process.

I need to read the actual ruling to get a feel for what the Supreme Court was thinking. I've got a lot going on today so I don't know when I'll get to it. I'm meeting an old friend from high school for lunch and looking forward to it... I'm not letting this get me down!

Big win?!?

6 of the 7 very serious and well documented challenges were apparently - just ignored and dismissed?

What about the lack of any/all chain of custody documentation that is required by law, and the fact that 30,000+ ballots were ADDED somehow when all of them were sent to Runbeck for counting?

And I can't recite the others, but they also seemed to be very well documented and obvious violations of State Election laws.

I'm actually disgusted, unless I'm missing something... please tell me I am.

Big win?!?

My bad. I should have said the only win, but it's a big one, is that this ruling allows for Kari's team to examine the physical ballot envelope signatures, and the verification process itself.

I expect and/or am optimistic that this will provide opportunities to bring other process issues into the equation.

For example, chain-of-custody documentation issues, because it's impossible to examine the signature verification process without bringing Runbeck into it, since all ballot envelopes (still containing the ballots) were sent to Runbeck first (with no official documented count) for signature scanning by (unlawful) software.

I need to read the actual ruling with a clear head and hopefully get a better idea of what the Supreme Court was thinking or focusing on.

At this point, I'm thankful we got this much, although it obviously isn't enough. And by enough I mean enough for me to have any confidence in the process. If an election were held tomorrow, I wouldn't be voting.

Yeah, ok, but you know, I'm just about sick and tired of having to settle for crumbs.

Not me, not any more, my hopium just pretty much ran out.

If an election were held tomorrow, I wouldn't be voting.

Even without any hopium left, I still couldn't bring myself to not vote, it just seems too much like giving up, and even though I'm out of hopium, I'm not a quitter.
