This upset me so badly that I have to make a thread about it. It is much more than a rant, it is an exposure of what commonly happens in our society. The hospitals and the government do not give a damn about Americans. So think about it, and all the BS they are trying to shove down your throat.

I have been in the medical profession for over 45 years. I am presently a Forensic Nurse, but I have worked in numerous venues over those 45 years. I worked for a number years as a Hospital Case Manager up until the year of 2014.

I can tell you, this is not a rare occurrence. I was a continued thorn in the side of hospital administration over those years, because I would never have given my approval to this discharge.

I will tell you the truth, hospitals are a business. If they aren't being paid, you will be dumped in the streets. They claim they make safe discharges, they don't. Their philosphy is, if you are homeless the street is your home, so dumping you into the street is sending you back home.

Now what really pisses me off, is that if you are here illegally, they will house you like you are living in an hotel, because they know dumping you in the street will be a political and public nightmare for the hospital. But Americans that have served their country, or have paid into the system for years, are treated as mere thrash.

I would have been fired and carried out of the hospital, before I would have allowed this discharge. But they have nurses by the short hairs now. Too many are so afraid of losing their jobs, that they will do as they are told. Whether that is allowing themselves to be injected with an experimental medication for a novel virus, or throwing a seriously ill American citizen, that has exceed the time that the insurance company is willing to pay for, into the streets.

We need to stop lying to ourselves. Big pharma, the government, the insurance companies, and the medical system, don't give a damn about us, unless they are receiving a profit.

I dealt with that all last year.
Please add nursing homes to that list.

This has been going on for decades. I remember seeing dozens of these kind of videos at least 20 years ago.

This is not new.

I was in a motorcycle accident in 2006. I tore the ligament in my right hip pretty bad, and had some good road rash I cleaned myself. I had a giant purple black bubble hip joint that is still all kinds of damaged internally and acts up regularly. I didn't go to the hospital immediately because I had no insurance and no motorcycle license.

The next day my girlfriend made me go because when I woke up I was in shock from multiple injuries. I still do not know what injuries I had, because they would not even run imaging and diagnostics on me when I told them I had no insurance. They speculated dismissively about what was wrong with me and rushed me out with a script for pain meds.

Injury took about a year to heal before I could walk right. I have broken many many bones and am not a complainer. I screwed something up bad that will be coming back to haunt e for sure. Doctors didn't care at all.

I was disappointed in the way things work. That was the first time I really actually went for help that I needed and was laughed out. Funny thing is, I am not for universal health care. I am just saying that I should have been able to get some level of help. Diagnostics should be free since they are trying to sell the cure anyway. All they did was make sure I was not going to be able to sue them before they kicked me out.

Unfortunately....what you say is true. The United States of America has changed...or was it always the way it is now and we are just finding out about it.

So many people are waking up about a lot of issues...the truth of those issues...now what?

Pray, hope volunteer.

You think its bad in the States, nope, we here in this country actually still have 3rd world medical services. People may not know this, but we have companies here that go into homes and apartments where people die in them and no one know about it. There are cases like 3 years of deceased where the landlords don't check on because the rent is automatically taken out of the bank account, so why check up on the tenant or house payment. Sick.

Hospitals care about numbers, especially numbers following a $. They bill YOU, you are not allowed to cost them.
Hospitals are no longer run by doctors but by Corporate.
Nurses, doctors, all medical professionals may have gone into the profession to save lives, for the love of medicine, education and skill set to help mankind.

First, GREED got rid of homeopathic medicine - not profitable.
Next, GREED got rid of doctors running hospitals- not profitable.
Then GREED got rid of medical staff not willing to comply with mandate - not profitable nor controllable.
Now GREED getting rid of patients who are not profitable.
Lord help us all, everyone! We need to get rid of GREED!

So, what are you all saying? Should health care be considered a human right? Does the USA need some kind of universal health care system?

I left the field of Case Management back in 2014. I took up that career field because I thought I could make a difference. I didn't. All I did was cannibalize myself to the system, to the point where I had nothing left to give.

This has indeed been going on for decades, yet here we are. Believing that the medical system and the government, are putting mandates in place for our health and well being. In the meantime, we are just guinea pigs for a project they have in play for years.

We indeed have known for years that the system does not give a damn about us, so why the Hell are we fighting each other, instead of the real enemy?

Did you know that up until 1930 very few knew of health insurance, and it did not work the way it does now?

I posted about it back in 2013. www.abovetopsecret.com...

When I was a child, no hospital expected to receive a profit from providing care to those that needed it. Doctors and nurses worked for what people could afford to pay, and for goods and services.

At the end of each quarter, the hospitals sent their loses to the federal government and they were reimbursed for the services provided. Dollar for dollar. No elevated pricing. They broke even.

Medicine prior to Blue Cross and Blue Shield was a community service. Not a corporation or a business.

I have lost total faith in our healthcare system... I lost it years ago.

No disease will EVER be cured, so long as there is long term profit to be made by treating disease...

I have Multiple Sclerosis, and it totally sucks. IF a cure for my disease were to be discovered tomorrow... I would be dead before that cure was ever released... there is no money to be made from a cure.

There are several drugs being advertised for Multiple Sclerosis, and they all involve monthly injections... pretty much for life. The side effects are usually worse than the disease... that's my experience.

I never noticed any real benefit, from any of the crap they put me on.

I have dealt with my disease holistically, and that has made a world of difference. I can function. I can chase down the goats, when they get out of their pen (goats do that). I have had to run down loose horses. I may hurt afterward... I may even hurt for several days... but, I can at least get out there and work.

Western medicine didn't do that. Western medicine made me really freaking miserable, to be honest.

What has been created in medicine is not medicine, it is big business. We need to get rid of our present type of medical industry here and go to socialized medicine where the people working in it get a decent wage not dependent on overcharging people and insurance companies that people actually pay the bill for one way or another. Remember, if your employer is paying for your insurance, he is not paying you as much and insurance is really expensive, you would be better off paying for socialized medicine because your wages would go way up. Twelve grand a year is nothing for an insurance premium, most are higher than that for a decent policy.

The actress, Selma Blair now has a new reality series, based on her M.S. diagnosis.

She seemed to me, to be a complete drama queen... at first. I kinda hated her for it...

I was diagnosed a decade ago, and I forgot how devastating that diagnosis was.

Multiple Sclerosis is no joke... it fundamentally changes who you are, physically... and, it only gets worse. That is the reality of it.

Her fears have only be compounded by her doctors... I forgot what that felt like.

So... Selma Blair... mea culpa...

Not sure why people haven't been suing through-out this pandemic, or maybe they are and I just am unaware.

As far as the patient goes:

42 U.S. Code § 1395dd *1A* (1) In general any individual (whether or not eligible for benefits under this subchapter) comes to a hospital and the hospital determines that the individual has an emergency medical condition, the hospital must provide either— (A) within the staff and facilities available at the hospital, for such further medical examination and such treatment as may be required to stabilize the medical condition,

Medical misconduct and malpractice would result in the revocation of professional licensing.

Furthermore, under EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act):

EMTALA Screening Obligation: Every hospital or CAH with a dedicated emergency department (ED) is required to conduct an appropriate medical screening examination (MSE) of all individuals who come to the ED, including individuals who are suspected of having COVID-19, regardless of whether they arrive by ambulance or are walk-ins.

As far as the workplace goes:

There was a supreme court case, Jacobson V Massachusetts, that is always cited as proof positive that a company can fire you for not being vaccinated. But what no one understand from that case is the issue at hand. Jacobson was facing a $100 fine for being unvaccinated. He was not facing de-personing, firing from his job, exorbitant fines, ect. The Jacobson V Mass case cannot be competently applied to todays standard, as people are being told they can't eat/shop at the grocery store, or make a living if they're not vaccinated.

In the SC case, a fine is not unconstitutional, there-fore. However, preventing someone from being able to live healthy and free is completely unconstitutional and it is incumbent upon the SC to take these cases up and give guidance.

You guys know I'm a fan of capitalism, but there are some sectors where it's crucial for government support (eg some amount of socialism can greatly improve living standards when applied to the right areas). It's a critical problem to solve because it's one of the main motivators for those who argue for hardcore socialism, because they claim capitalism has failed us so massively in terms of healthcare. In truth we need to achieve a healthy balance between capitalism and socialism without letting the nanny state aspect get out of control. If there is one place I think tax payers want their money to be spent, it's on their health system to ensure they wont go bankrupt if they get sick. Many other nations have far better health systems than the US despite having a much smaller GDP, so I would ask the question what are all your tax dollars being spent on?

Last year i got Fournier's gangrene from a diabetes drug I was taking. I went to the VA and had emergency surgery
After a month because of the VA hospital being overloaded with covid, i was sent to a non VA wound care and rehab facility by the VA.
Between getting UTIs because they kept me on a foley catheter long after i needed it, and they decided after the third UTI they would change the catheter and i let them take it out and refused to let them put a new one in and told them i would fight them if they tried. I am a big guy and had the nurses intimidated. And I also knew the laws on medical treatment.

I spent 3 and 1/2 months there, and they would have held me longer, But my wound little raw but had healed and had no drainage. At that point I ask to be discharged, and they told me I was not healed, and I was not ready for discharge.

I told them they WOULD discharge me, or I would walk out Against Doctors Orders.

They knew I was a retired EMT and that I would walk. And were afraid of the problems that would cause them
I believe they would have kept Me at least two more weeks.

The problem with the wound care and rehab facility was because of covid and not getting any elective surgery recovery patents they started taking psychiatric patients that would scream all day and night and none of us wound care and rehab patents could sleep.
And the place was driving me NUTS.
