Although not mentioned in the categories of what makes up the Doomsday Clock and its world changing concerns…..is it possible Extraterrestrial Aliens have been covertly or overtly influencing it? Can Extraterrestrial Aliens be in the shadows advancing the hands of the Clock toward our eventual Doom?

……” Founded in 1945 by Albert Einstein and University of Chicago scientists who helped develop the first atomic weapons in the Manhattan Project, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists created the Doomsday Clock two years later, using the imagery of apocalypse (midnight) and the contemporary idiom of nuclear explosion (countdown to zero) to convey threats to humanity and the planet. The Doomsday Clock is set every year by the Bulletin’s Science and Security Board in consultation with its Board of Sponsors, which includes 13 Nobel laureates. The Clock has become a universally recognized indicator of the world’s vulnerability to catastrophe from nuclear weapons, climate change, and disruptive technologies in other domains.”…..

It is 100 seconds to midnight

…..” This is your wake-up call

When the world finally emerges from the worst pandemic in a century, everyone will rightly celebrate. It might be tempting to mark the COVID-19 experience as a one-off, a dismal anomaly to be forgotten. We, too, wish the world could return to normal in short order.

But the pandemic is not a unique departure from a secure reality. It is a harbinger, an unmistakable signal that much worse will come if leaders and institutions do not enact wide-ranging reforms to forestall and minimize future pandemics, to restore the primacy of science-based policies, and to reduce the possibility of nuclear war and the impacts of climate change.

We set the Doomsday Clock at 100 seconds to midnight—the closest it has ever been—because the existential risks confronting humanity today call for quick and comprehensive action across the 21st century’s complex threat spectrum. Here are some practical steps that world leaders can and should initiate in 2021 to protect humanity from major global threats that have the potential to end civilization”….

Should a category of Extraterrestrial Aliens, UFO’s, UAP’s be added to the Doomsday Clock?

Perhaps the aliens are running the assylum?

That's all I got.

Why would governments be so different in their desires from everyday humans that they constantly fund projects and weapons of mass destruction while Joe and Joan Human are running on a treadmill trying to keep a house over their heads and their kids fed?

Then the governments make a mockery of it all by spending human tax money on a doomsday clock to measure their actions against the people.

Adding aliens to the doomsday clock might be the ironic cherry on top.

Who needs aliens when a bunch of sick satanic puppies run the show? At this junction aliens are the least of my worries, and, as far as I’m concerned, neither are they of influence on the doomsday clock. Since we don’t know if they exist, and if they do, who and/or what they are, let alone what their intentions are, it will be hard to assess the impact “they” will have on this doomsday clock.

Aliens as in Illegal? If so Yes Covertly, and Yes Overtly.

Sleepy Joe - Don't call them Illegal Aliens
The Doomsday Tsunami is Near!

As for the space Aliens, I think they just watch us on their televisions like "The Truman Show"

Truman Show!?
More like “Aliens”!
I personally think, providing they do exist, even they will be horrified by our ignorant barbarism.

Perhaps they are not trends that are measurable by frequency and repetitive statistical means. Basically, once in a Blue Moon events.

Which is kind of alarming when you think of it, since all of the threats you mentioned could be ELE’s.

Yeah, I’d vote for an Astronomical Events category, to be added to the Doomsday Clock

Aliens are causing it to tick down to zero faster. The way this world is going, the sooner we hit ZERO the better!

Does trying to turn back or stop the clock count?

The Washington Post for one detailed a possible 1954 meeting between extraterrestrials and Eisenhower. They wanted to give us advanced tech in exchange for us giving up nukes. Eisenhower declined the offer (and possibly regrettably declined, depending which version you read).

Ike being Ike I have to trust his judgement. Maybe the tech offered wasn't advanced enough to offset the risk of the Soviets keeping their nukes.

The Doomsday Clock is worthless nowadays... those who run it work with big tech, the same group who installed our fake president.

It's a broken clock. It could be way off or very close to Doomsday, we will never know.

Maybe the aliens are in control... having a good laugh at us. 🤡

...and also mostly forgotten. The Climate Clock is the new bogeyman.

They're likely both entertained and relieved. Getting a good laugh, while thankful this sad race won't be setting foot outside the solar system in anyone's foreseeable future.

"When the world finally emerges from the worst pandemic in a century, everyone will rightly celebrate."

Wait a second here, what pandemic? By definition a pandemic has a 7%+ death rate, not a less than 0.1% death rate like we have seen from the get go. So there is no pandemic here, just a scamdemic or plandemic. It would be better to say "emerges out the other end of an attempted global coup de tat".

Sorry but it just pisses me off to no end when people try to justify the covid lie.

Cheers - Dave

I agree….current guesstimate of the worlds population is 7.9 Billion….latest WHO count of worldwide deaths (below in red)

The “Pandemic” certainly does not meet the present percentages to qualify using the title….I think “Epidemic” is more apropo.

Btw, you left out Shamdemic and a few more …… demics

Rubbish - the term pandemic has nothing to with death rate. If you're going to rant nonsense at least get your facts right.

Really, you reference world wide then state more appropriate to call it an epidemic, total logic failure.

Merely suggesting that a sizable (worldwide) Epidemic….causing deaths ….. falls short of the percentages of deaths, to bump it up to a worldwide Pandemic proportions status. Epidemics don’t have to be local, since diseases don’t have borders…however, local pockets of the same disease can exist throughout the world I.e. Chickenpox outbreaks in Germany and in Brazil and in Pago Pago..totaled together, it’s a percentage worldwide.

Martyl Langsdorf, designer of the Doomsday Clock

When artist and designer Martyl Langsdorf, wife of Manhattan Project physicist Alexander Langsdorf, Jr., was hired to design a new cover for the Bulletin, what captured her imagination was the sense of urgency that her husband and other Manhattan Project veterans felt compelled to share with the American public. There wasn’t much time, she realized, to get atomic weapons under control.

“It was a panicky time. …It’s hard to believe today that the word ‘atom’ was alien. The scientists, however, wanted to inform the public,” Langsdorf said in 2007.

The clock should have been mothballed when Alexander Langsdorf Jr. died in 1996.
