And grow in a spirtual existence.

I have been thinking for a while about when life begins, does it begin at birth or conception, or are there other answers people have. I probably went with the mainstream idea that we are born and that is when life begins, however does that mean you were not conscious the day before, whilst in the womb? Should we have a conception day and a birthday?

The main reason for asking this question is because I was wondering if aborted babies could live on and grow in an existence not to far removed from our own, and grow in spirtual body and consciousness. Like after 7 years or so they would start to become conscious of their place in the spirtual world... Like a child in this world of matter would do.
Could they be seen as ghosts or shadows by people in the material world?

Could they be contacted?

Thanks

They never had the chance to be indoctrinated into our systems of communication or thinking and most likely their spirit never left the collective consciousness. Our understanding of consciousness is flawed, we see our lives and our thinking as evolving, i think we spend them hiding behind our ego from the truth that was always there.

Most abortions occur between 8 and 10 weeks, before the brain has started to form.

There would be no consciousness or intellect to contact in those cases.

This is a great question. If people could see what goes on in a place where abortions are performed in other dimensions, they would never consider it. The damage caused by disrupting the original path of life can be significant. People can refuse to believe whatever they want, but they would never ever do it if they knew. The suffering can be great and that debt must be repaid.

I suppose there could be the parallel universe, multiple world angle where the baby is born and lives a million different lives. Is there one consciousness / spirit which links and drives them all or is consciousness simply physical and environmental where they each diversify independently? Does the potentiality of consciousness infer it's existence and if so where is the origin?

That's a loaded question that's been hotly debated for quite some time.

I would say the origin of conciousness would be God.

Omnipotent, Omniscent, Omnipresent.

All powerful, All knowing, Ever present.

Which mean He knows if a child is going to be aborted, and therefore does not bestow consciousness upon the child so there is no awareness, and hence no suffering.

Wikipedia offers this take:

Ensoulment

Not exactly my personal opinion but thanks for sharing.

The difference being I believe the soul is transcendent and infinite.

I think we can easily find the answer by asking an aborted baby.

Does copulation and fertilization create a brand new soul? Don't all souls "live on" after death?

I believe their soul is recycled, so to speak, and they reincarnate. As happens with all living things upon death. Trees, humans, bugs, fish, fungus, you name it.

Sure would suck for the spirit energy or soul to get recycled into another foetus destined for abortion. Imagine getting stuck in a loop. Sure hope that doesn't happen to me when the time comes.

"Could they be contacted?"

Well not in Texas any road.

Fetes 8 and 10 weeks old don't have consciousness.

You see the "Thalamic afferents to the cortex develop from approximately 12-16 weeks of gestation."

But im sure loads of religious nutters will chine in and disagree.

But if they were still in the collective conscious as individual consciouness and growing, then that's a way of thinking about. I'm not religious but these thoughts have been on my mind lately, I seen a shadow that was clearer than usuakband looked like the height of a child, and then my punchbag started moving slightly on its own, I don't know what it is but I would like to try and communicate with it.

But If you are a man then you have no choice... And it's your seed that is being aborted. Its a troubling thought, which is why I must entertain it.

Think of it more like a node on a network. Severing the link isn't detrimental to the source.

So that's a theory though, consciousness may exist as a brain process and that is a reasonable assumption, its definitely a possibility, but as far as I am concerned that's it, that possibilty has been explored. Time to look at other possibilities, I think aspects of Judaism believe you are born at conception, there is a "divine" spark when the sperm penetrates the egg, a big bang even... In a miniscule scale of course

Yes, i think it's fair to say many children have been conceived during a big bang.

No adults can be 'contacted' after they are dead never mind an aborted fetus.

You also were at one point a fetus at 8-10 weeks. If you were aborted you wouldn't be here right now. Don't forget to thank your parents for not aborting you.

Some say life begins at conception. Some say when there is viability. Others say at birth. But all those are mechanical definitions. In this thread, people have placed consciousness, thoughts and feelings as a condition. But I can show you handful of bugs or worms that no one would argue as to if they were alive but barely act on anything but reactions to stimuli in the world around them. No one thinks of them having a conscience or soul.

I know that I used to have a somewhat reoccurring dream in which this red haired girl would visit and talk with me. What made it somewhat reoccurring was that theme of visiting and talking. The girl herself aged over the years from about five to seventeen or so. Generally just a few nights out of a three week span, then nothing for a couple of years. And then she’d be back a little older.

I don’t think she was my child because her apparent age didn’t really fit. Best I could figure was that she either found me because she needed to or was my child on an alternate timeline. She would be about 25-27 now, I think.

Or she could be you, if you go into Jungian psychology she may have been a representation of your Anima, very interesting that she aged also, not in line with you 8 guess... But perhaps she was aging at the speed of your feminine side.
I don't know but thanks for sparking new thoughts
