Taxing unrealized gains!

After all, a bill that costs trillions of dollars can not, by definition, cost zero dollars. That it might not add to the deficit, another claim no one should believe, doesn’t change that reality. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen admitted that yesterday without realizing it as she discussed Biden’s latest scam – taxing money that hasn’t even been made yet.

Building back better through outright theft.

Which means your homes. Those that have 401ks,IRAs and any other investment. Other real estate like farms and such.

Taxing something that doesn't even exist, and that can be wiped out in the blink of an eye via a real estate bubble bursting or like the past market crash that led to bailouts.

Under the plan, increases in the value of investments would be taxed even before that investment has been liquidated. That means the government gets to play a game of “heads I win, tails you lose.” If your house increases in value, the IRS taxes you on that increase on a yearly basis despite the fact that you still bear the risk that the home could ultimately decrease in value. The same is true for the stock market, where volatility is common. What about unrealized losses? Do people get a tax credit for those?

In EVERY since of the word- Kleptocrats.

I retort.

You decide.

Let's Go Yellen, and all the psychophants that car pooled in her chevy volt.

I am speechless! This is more than blunt robbery and will quickly destroy the stock, crypto, house (etc)

Taxing unrealized profits where big risks are involved... example:

buy 1k worth of stocks or coins
It rises to 1.5k. They tax the difference of my unrealized profit, let's say 10% = 0.05k
It lowers to 0.5k after taxing

And now?

I not only lost 0.5k, I lost 0.55k.
What determines that it is now taxeable again? A change in price? Do I get back the taxes on the difference?

Are they insane? This is the only rhetoric question in this post! Anybody have anything more than the closes they wear or let's say a car, can only loose, no matter what.

"You will own nothing and be happy".

Not without a lobotomy I swear!!

Taxation is theft, so there is no shock in me here. It's like catching a shoplifter in Walmart and discovering that, in addition to having stolen a pocketful of batteries, he also has a box of stolen rubbers in his sock. The faster this country realizes that the government is thieving scum and an enemy to all freedom and liberty and should be dealt with accordingly, the faster we can get on with this ridiculous show.

Not all taxation is theft, we do need roads and bridges and also cities need to have water and sewer lines to keep all those city slickers from moving to the Upper Peninsula and bothering all us Yoopers because we have wells and septic tanks.

Indeed there are useful taxes but are they used for purpose?

Not all where I live. I pay hefty taxes, it's almost 100% now on fuel! 99cent without taxes, 1,70€ after taxes for a liter of dead dinosaur sauce.

Taxes for roads but they are not fixed.

Taxes for CO2 polution but there is no alternative.

Taxes taxes taxes, 45+% of my income.

Mandatory insurances.

The citizens do not profit from this, it's big corps and the politicians that sold their souls to them. Traitors to every citizen no matter where on earth.

Scumbags.

The road taxes are about the only useful tax collected that goes where it is supposed to go. There is so much waste and greasing palms in government that it is making it hard to live well anymore. I do think that the tax for social security here is worth keeping though, as it does come back when you are old and need the extra money and can't work anymore.

Here, the rent/ social security isn't a tax and it isn't collecting up over time like in a bank account.

It's an insurance with payout after a certain age and most of the time, a hard working person will not live long enough to enjoy the fruits of their labor paid into the insurance, or god forbid live long enough to receive more than put in.

That's one of the reasons I am self employed, I can skip this scam and make my own bed like I want. I won't trust in some promises and trust in the system like it is to be stable when I reach age for rent.

I would be very naive to think that. No offense to you, speaking about my local circumstances.

They keep pushing tax the rich schemes and have the media blaring it... but the truth is that they can't pull together the kind of money that they are talking about by taxing the rich. They have to get it from the middle class.

I have to laugh at this one, they are selling the waste and abuse of tax dollars on green initiatives that will end becoming bankrupted trash like under the Obama era and want people to think that the rich is going to pay for it.

Stupid only believe stupid.

Nope, never nada, all the hard working Americans will be footing the bill on this scam bill, do not believe me? got back and research on what obama bill did with the money and how many of their green turn into crap and who have to pay at the end, yep we are still paying for the failure.

Now this scammers are at it again, a bill that only 25% is going to fix anything, the rest is to be pocketed on the Democrats benefactors trash ideas.

The democrats are lying, yep they are because that is all they are good at.

The green dream for America is not green at all, a carpet of glass in every piece of green land that will never be able to grow food to feed any body but glass, I guess when the next food crisis comes around, everybody will be eating glass thanks to the Democrat scammers.

The only taxes we should be paying is the ones by the states, is their job to keep the states infrastructure, the Federal government is nothing but thieves and all they do with tax dollars is pay their benefactors and waste and abuse.

You make a good point. Biden did get elected in a massive Landslide for promising to do the things we're seeing.

Everyone needs to quit whining. And work hard to get him reelected in 2024.

Let's go brandon!

The thing is that this will no end with the wealthy only it will trickle down to every hard working American in the nation and now you can see the reason to track every single american account in the nation.

Socialism is getting closer and closer to every worker in the nation.

If anybody think that this is going to be just for the rich you maybe delusional.

The end goal of the Democrats is to bring full fascism and socialism to America by force if necessary
