Caravan of Curious Craft

Got bounced from our work area just prior to 4pm while the forklifts rearranged things, any opportunity for a quick smoke or vape outside.
Unfortunately I looked up and saw an obvious plane about normal cruising altitude (high) with contrail. The unusual kicked in when a silver craft, no contrail at close to same-ish altitude moved past the plane. Could not discern any wings.

So in a quick discussion had co-worker take a pic on their phone. As co-worker insisted it was going to just be a dot, a second silver -no contrail-no wings made it's appearance & followed the airplane. Co worker & I got jammed up at end of shift so didn't have time to get it. Did look at it and it appears as a cloudy white "Mike & Ikes" candy. Like an elongated cloud. Not really the typical cell phone capture.

My first question was usually only military craft convoy around, so probably just moving from one airfield to another?
But I'm woefully not current on any assets needing moved. They all traveled on a southeast to northwest heading. My co-worker suggested choppers, however not at that height they weren't! Also heard no sound as they passed, but it would of been faint regardless.

Since two of the three aircraft were different it gave the appearance of a plane being escorted.
Any ideas are most welcome! Will post the pic once I get it.

South east is the YYZ Toronto to usually Punta Cana, Havana and Mexico bound. You'll have noticed right up to about an hour or so ago, the sky today was brilliant with high aircrafts with lush contrails.
There were even a couple that even with the naked eye, you could only make out the dot with the trail behind it.

Weather is gonna be crud tomorrow 😑

Edit: South East is also Baltimore, Dulles, Philadelphia bound. Amazon prime Air has a Fleet of 676 coming in amd out of Baltimore.

If it's any consolation, the sky where your at is the 20k feet refuelling zone. In fact last night when you posted, there was a KC-10 Extender out of McGuire New Jersey that did 12 passes over you refueling 2 C-17's also out of McGuire New Jersey.

Often there are aircrafts visible that don't show up on ADS-B Exchange nore Flightradar24. But I see them.

So if you say you saw something, I absolutely believe you.
