There could be a more natural reason for the 8 pointed star. The sun could have very long cycles unknown to modern science. One is suggested to be a nova outburst that occurs every ~10,000 years. Potentially indicated by many older cultures as either a 8 pointed star or circle with 56 filaments or a combination of both. The outburst is suggested to appear similar in appearance to a plasma phenomena, called Birkeland currents, which causes calamity to civilizations on earth...
