This is dumb. If you had a reaction to penicillin, don't take Tylenol, amirite?

Actually, you do not take anything ELSE in the Cillin family of antibiotics, since Penicillins is the group name to begin with (edit: family and group being two different things here -- Amoxicillin is in the Cillin family, but not the Penicillins group) Technically, only two are used for medical use at all -- Penicillin V is the one most commonly prescribed for infections, and the other is Penicillin G -- drip antibiotic, AFAIK.

How do I know this?

Husband found out the Surprise Way he is anaphylactic allergic to Penicillins via a nasty body balloon-ish & swollen face, mouth & throat reaction to a Pen V. prescription.

Your analogy is wrong, because you cannot gamble on the component allergies. My older brother is also anaphylactic allergic, to eggs. He had reactions to vaccines before, diagnosis was evidently pretty obvious -- would you prefer he abstain from playing it absolutely safe, just to make you feel a wee bit safer? I think you know what the sentiment is, if you answer "yes".

Back in 2009 when I had a severe reaction to a vaccine, the VA flagged my chart with a red tab, that stated "No Vaccines of any kind." So now I am supposed to believe that this vaccine is safe? Now why would that be? Since they said no vaccines of any kind, does that mean that this solution they are injecting, is not a vaccine?

You are right. When you have a history of an allergy, they tell you to avoid any substances that are in the same class or family, as the substance you are allergic to.

When a person has a latex allergy, we provide them with a list of foods that are identified as a latex cross-reactive food. The individual with a latex allergy is instructed to avoid exposure to those foods.

But suddenly with this magic potion, all caution is thrown out the window. One more reason why it remains suspect.

I am not going to take that risk.

I had severe reactions to the flu vaccines I took and to the DTAP. They said if you have had severe reactions to a vaccine in the past not to get the covid vaccine. I am not stupid, I can comprehend a warning and won't take risks just because many people think it is harmless. Maybe it is harmless to them, but with my intolerances to medicines and vaccines, I surely am not going to follow their lead. It is not safe for everyone, those who have had reactions to past vaccinations or are intolerant to any of the chemistries it contains should not take this vaccine...that comes from the people who make the vaccine. They should know who should not take it, they actually developed it.

A doctor I know spoke at length about this.

He told me I could take the vaccine.

So I started to take off my shirt and said, "Fine, jab me now but on one condition; I won't sign the waiver until 72 hours from now. If I'm alive, you'll be right and I'll be vaccinated. If I'm dead, my wife will own your ass and you'll have nothing."

"Now," I said, "How sure are you?"

He declined.

You seriously have to sign a waiver to take the jab?

WTF?!?!?!?!

THAT alone should be enough reason for any sane individual to refuse it!

You tell me you want to inject me with a 'completely safe' product, yet expect me to sign a liability waiver? I thought this was completely safe? Why the waiver if it's completely safe?

Well its public knowledge here to get a medical exemption to these jabs you have to have an allergic reaction to them.

Severe allergy or anaphylactic reaction to a previous dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or any of
its components that cannot be mitigated, confirmed by a licensed allergist at the Health
Sciences Centre (HSC) Allergy Clinic.

It's not even all doctors that are able to give the medical exception only SPECIALIST can.
Wonder what the training for getting informed consent is called? After all if you consent it's your fault.

There will be no ability to view a medical exemption on eChart and only identified
licensed specialists
will have the ability to submit exemptions to Manitoba Health and
Seniors Care, and Shared Health.

COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Exemption Program

It was said there would be a time when all the world would be upside down.

Prior to COVID, no medical professional would inject anything into you body, even if it was considered safe, and had been in use for more years than you have been alive, without obtaining your permission.

Now we have to ask permission of a medical professional to stop them from injecting a newly developed substance, that has not been in existence long enough, to even know what long term effects could occur.

You have to request permission to refuse a medication, or else you are punished. What is wrong with that picture?

Well sure! Go ahead and get the vaccine, even if you have issues with other ones.

My good friend did. Her work made her. She told them she had issues, and would only get it at the hospital.
So she and a coworker went and got it.
She got dizzy, and then stopped breathing.

6 hours later, she had recovered enough to go home, and was off work for a couple more days after that.

Thankfully she is ok.
She is looking for another job though.

But hey, it's ok! Get the jab!
