This however is not a meme. It is just a historical snapshot to keep things in the proper perspective on just how fast and large the downward spiral has become. Above all other factors, the US is large and the base cost of transportation sets the tone for the domestic economy. A simple internet search will let you know the national average for one US gallon. I can tell you locally that I have seen $3.299/gal for Regular Unleaded.

Let’s Go Brandon.

Petrol's about NZ $2.54 for premium right now in Auckland. Equivalent to US $1.77

With the lock-down, food prices here in NZ are also higher (0.5%) than they were a month ago.

NZ (and most of the rest of the world, truth be told) sell gas by the liter, the US is by the gallon. 1 gallon of gas in NZ, in US dollars, would be $6.70 per the Google. Dig into that number deeply and I'll bet you'll find you're paying your government 10 times the amount of that price that's actually going to the oil company, the refinery, and the station (you know, the folks who actually did some manner of work to get the gasoline from the Earth to your truck?) The more governments steal, the more they begin to closely resemble those greedy CEOs and executives some love to rail against.

We are about 1.50 US per litre, for the cheap stuff, and for some reason, we get nailed here, the rest of the country is 20-30c a litre cheaper. They are getting us ready to bend over further, saying it will be 2.00 a litre by 2022, based on a projected increase in the barrel of oil price. I think close to half the price, is some form of tax, or another, some to the province, some to the fed..18c a litre here just goes to transit.

Yes, you are right. There is a difference in measures.

Te equivalent price for a US gallon of fuel purchased in New Zealand, and converted to US $ is $8.05

You are comparing bananas and orangutans.

The picture is the price of fuel before Joe compared to 10 months of Joe running the show (into the ground) here in the US. If Joe is screwing up the economy New Zealand that badly, then that is most impressive.

Point taken. I think they are trying to push for a hydrogen economy in most nations these days. Way more expensive initially, but perhaps new tech will change that? Who really knows?

Yes, it is far worse than they are telling us. I know many in here don't believe in any religion, and there are many more whom don't believe the Virgin Mary or her prophecies have any merit. But even Catholics have been told by various priests whom have been shown part of the future, and the Virgin Mary herself has stated people should get ready for 3 months without food and water as well as getting ready spiritually and to pray to attempt to stop or lessen what is to come.

Anyway, it is so bad that many cargo ships are stuck at sea, so far supposedly about 66 in California, and I am not sure how many in New York, but this is not just happening in the U.S.

China is having a problem with electricity, more so when their socialist policies dictate that suppliers can't increase the price of energy which has caused the government to mandate the power be shut off for about 8-9 hours every day.

Pharmacies and markets in various places around the world are empty or near empty. Of course not all.

But look at what the fake mainstream media says people should worry about...

...
It’s a traffic jam of epic proportions as dozens of cargo ships are lined up waiting their turn for unloading. Offshore from the Port of Los Angeles, 66 ships carrying tens of thousands of shipping containers stretch for miles down the coast. It’s not just a West Coast problem — New York Harbor is also backed up. The shipping delays are caused by a mixture of Americans buying more, and staffing shortages at ports and in trucking companies. Experts say you should start holiday shopping now.
...

Cargo Ships Backed Up at Ports Are Causing Massive Delays in Shipping

When in fact people should be more worried about stocking up food, potable water, medicines, etc.

The elites are about ready to set their main master plan which would bring famine at a level never seen in the world. Because of this epidemics will get worse. Not to mention the fact that the persecution against all religions, more so against Christians of all denominations, will increase to levels also not seen for a very long time.

If i were you, even if you are not religious, you should be stocking up on food, potable water, medicines, etc for at least 3 months if not more.

People don't seem to be puting two and two together. More so far leftists whom continue to claim what is happening in La Palma is not bad. Well, the thing is as I have stated with evidence in many past threads, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes etc are all increasing in activity and magnitude around the world.

In 2018 the largest volcanic eruption was documented which has formed a very large volcano underwater. These events, and others will only get worse.

...
The mountain isn't the only thing the French team discovered. When they began their survey in early 2019, several seismometers and sonar were used to take measurements. Between February 25 and May 6, 2019, 17,000 seismic events ranging in depth from 20 to 50 km below the seafloor were recorded. This is unusual, the researchers say, because most earthquakes are shallower than that.
...

Largest underwater eruption on record spawned a new volcano

The Virgin Mary has also stated there will be many such volcanic eruptions and tsunamis. Even though her prophecies or those of Catholic priests don't mention in specific LA Palma volcano. Expect a large eruption/earthquake which will cause a large part of La Palma volcano to drop into the ocean causing the largest tsunami ever reported at least in the known history of mankind.

Most of those prophecies I have them in Spanish which is why I don't post them.

I like Spam, it isn't really that cheap. Great fried.

At work today we were talking about the government cheese and let's not forget the government peanut butter back in the 70s..yum yum. You could patch a tire with that cheese. Had to wait in long lines to get some food from your Uncle Sam. Good times were had by all. It could possibly be happening again in the not too distant future.

I like Spam,too.

I recently bought some to go with my morning eggs.I was shocked to see it cost $3.79.It also comes in different flavors now, too.(hickory smoked, jalapeno, etc.)

Has a long shelf life,too.

Think I'll stock up while I still can.

I also bought my Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas ham recently.I have a feeling those items(along with many others)may become scarce in the coming weeks...hopefully,I am wrong.

I am taking it seriously but had to move just as we tip over the cliff face so yea this is gonna suck.

Inflation was always going to occur since we just kicked the can down the road rather than actually address problems.

We went from energy independent to begging opec to pump more, instead of holding off huge spending during the early stages of inflation we went big spender.

This sucks we are hosed, its just a matter of how nasty will it get.

For personal transportation (cars) I think a compressed air system would do wonders. Range is limited but Lithium Ion batteries can run a cordless drill can run an air compressor to refill tanks every 50-100 miles (whatever range works out to be). Take a couple dozen with you on a long trip. You could take an alternate tack by using a pneumatic generator to recharge larger batteries on an electric car while in transit. Then just add air, much like you would to tires, to the air tank.

Talking a five minute refill anywhere there is enough electricity to run an air compressor, which means solar panels could do the job. Faster, cheaper and more efficient than high powered charging stations for plug-in electrics. Automobile pollution would be minimal compared to today.

No exotic hydrogen fuel cells. No splitting hydrogen and oxygen from water in large tanks at a “gas” station. No Hindenburg sized fireballs.

I think I'll keep the gasoline, that many batteries to get around even for a day trip is a pretty ugly mining mess to get there. Much dirtier than oil is, and I'm not a fan of oil. Keep the lithium, kthxbai.

I do like the hydrogen notion and think it probably has the most realistic promise in the long-run, but personally? I like the thorium reactor engines approach much better. Could power the world and the vehicles and never have to worry about the fuel again. Plus, thorium's much safer than other similar reactor fuels.

I was just looking at a Yahoo news article about, you might want to stock up for Christmas because it's gonna get worse. I also know people state they are not going to panic buy and hoard, but I consider stocking up on essentials as completely different, not taking all of it but what you might need. On that note, I have noticed that certain items are not available and haven't been for awhile. For instance Powerade in my area is out, peanuts are going out. Organic milk is gone, pasta is running low, and what places od have they are upping the price. For instance Annie's Mac n cheese at walmart used to be a dollar now it's a $1.18, maple syrup used to be $13 now it's $16. The price of meat is rising.

I would also be buying the gifts for christmas like now, and anything else you need.
