As an internet expert on history I can safely say that Christopher Columbus discovered America in the mid-19th century with the help of Queen which was a rock band in England.

Some more facts;

He planted a flag that started the war between the states because slavery was bad then, now we just call it, "Internships".

Columbus was Italian, so he brought salad dressings and meatballs to the new world, which we should all appreciate.

Many movies have been made depicting his travels to the new world and discovering America. The best known film is, "Blade Runner".

During the 2020 peaceful protests, many democrats tore down statues of Christopher Columbus because he was depicted as not wearing pants.

Christopher Columbus's wife, Karen, wrote a cookbook under the pen name "Chef Boyardee".

And finally, Christopher Columbus died of Covid because he refused to get booster shots according to Dr. Fauci who was there selling Columbus some bats at the time.

So take a little time today and thank Columbus for discovering the Red, White, and Blue and voting for Biden.

About as silly a holiday as St. Patrick's Day, Groundhog Day and Father's Day.

All holidays should be changed to Thanksgiving and July 4th, food and fireworks is where it's at.

We need more holidays, I think one a week, so I can rest more.

Just rest on days that end in 'Y'. Problem solved.

Little known fact, Colombia was continuing a long Venice tradition of taking other cultures foods and asking "But can we add tomato sauce?". Thus he brought BBQ to the natives! Like he had brought spaghetti to Asia, veal parmesan to Germany, and meatballs-in-sauce to the Mediterranean! Such a culinary hero!

Most of them are pointless and/or coopted into some consumerist spending spree. Sorry to be so cynical.

Not so well known is that Columbus, on his voyage, sailed from the Canary Islands, not the continent of Europe. So, he cheated a bit

Still. I have stood on a full scale replica of one of the ships that crossed in 1492, and all I can say is, those guys had guts.

Cheers

Columbus Day is as fake as the Biden election.
Possible Mayan artifacts in Georgia .
Vikings .
Even the Egyptians may have been here long before .

And Columbus , technically , never made it here.
Didn't discover crap.

So , keep your "Happy Christopher Columbus Day 2021" to yourself .

What we need is a tamale day. Best thing to come out of the Spaniard fiery but mostly peaceful exploration. 😁

While that is admirable, he should have brought pizza.
Bastard.

There's a holiday today?

No wonder only a third of my staff showed up to work.

Good thing, I'm hung over and more staff means more dumb questions.
