French police watch on as migrants cross Channel

Sky news has filmed French police standing by as illegal migrants launch a boat headed for Britain , this was just one of two boats launched containing dozens of migrants observed by the film crew but this is further evidence that the channel crossings are happening with the blessing of French authorities.


At some point our toothless and incompetent government will have to face the reality that the French are acting against our security and assurances given by them that they are working to stop the crossings are lies , while we give money to aid their effort the cheese eating surrender monkeys continue to aid the migration.

Sky News has witnessed dozens of migrants leaving France for the UK - as French police looked on.

Sky News filmed the migrants carrying a boat along the beach and launching it into the English Channel.

The French authorities insist they are taking steps to stop boats crossing the Channel, including a number of operations through the night.

It's time to hit the French where it hurts and send the Navy in to kick their fishing boats out of our waters , stop giving them money and take back our channel.

that's not a lot of people. If you really want to see a lot of migrants, check the US southern border. And most of them are let in and given free stuff. I wish we just had a few boats like you.

Its not like their arrival is going to change his day in any sort of way.

Thing is with 320,000+ poor homeless sods on the streets or in temporary accommodation around the island.

I have to wonder how much more of a stain our local authorities and councils can realistically take before it all goes breasts up like never before.

Anybody seen our towns at night-time lately, there is fecking soup kitchens and wide scale violence all over the place, its mental.

I'm not sure what type of border control/defense agreement Britain has with France, but shouldn't it be up to Britain to defend its own borders?

Thing is sinking boats full of what amounts to refugees or migrant workers is bad halfoldman.

And say we turn them around and back out to sea and they die, would you really wish that sort of thing to take place or the blood to be on your hands?

Its a catch 22 situation halfoldman and not one with any sort of easy answer other than to make it so they don't wish to come.

Which tends to bode rather badly for the rest of us.

They are an invading force so treat them as such.

I know how bad that sounds, but they are mostly young men of fighting age and the majority do not want them here.

It's a good job I am not in command, those dinghies would be smouldering alongside the bank balances of the People traffickers.

Although conceivably boats could be pushed or trawled back, or turned around. There are ways of naval blockades.
Pick them up and take them to some off-shore vetting center (some teeny-weeny rock that shall remain forever British).

Or just trawl them around Britain and say: "Keep going, and you'll hit Canada or the USA".

Either way, but there seems to be a lack of British ingenuity and willpower here too.

And if we pass them along to Canada or the USA, not that they could realistically manage any sort of voyage in that sort of craft, how are we any better than the French?

Need to make it so they don't want to come, which means fixing the mess on there end not ours as unpalatable as the case may be.

They need to be stopped at source not murdered , if the EU want to welcome these people in then that's their business but as we are no longer a part of their Union they shouldn't be shipping them over here.

It's a messy situation but I thought French Police got in trouble for shooting and hospitalising Kurds with rubber bullets and stun grenades a couple of days ago.

Has anything happened with the newly announced government policy of deporting illegal channel crossers to camps in Albania/Balkans? Last I heard they forgot to inform Albania and the Albanian government had denied it was ever in talks with the UK on the issue - though it appears they actually were in talks - and Albanian PM has condemned Pritti Patel's plans and ruled out becoming a ditching ground.

This government says stuff just to make it sound like they are doing something but in reality they're doing nothing , our failed Home Secretary's new plan is to imprison illegal immigrants but as our prisons are already full it's another stupid idea from an inept Home Secretary.

Because the French want to shift some of their problem over to us , illegal migrants know they'll get it easy over here which is why they pass through safe countries to get to ours ... we are a soft touch.

Personally I think that we should sink a few. I don't care who's on board like weve done with every other invading force. I guarantee that it would stop pretty quickly.

There is the problem right there for a start.

And i don't necessary mean giving out foreign aid is wrong, just who ends up getting such.

Never mind the fact that we are our own arse right now and charity begins at home.

Its a predicament and a half but one thing i will say is that imprisoning them costs a small fortune and is not any sort of long-term solution.

Maybe you guys should build a giant wall.

Millions of pounds has been payed over to the French in expectation that they will be more active in preventing the people smugglers.

From my understanding, the police themselves can do little once the boat is in the water.
As long as the money keeps rolling the situation is unlikely to change.
It seems that the coast guard are merely escorts to ensure there are no accidents.
Winter is on the way and the crossing will become less appealing and more dangerous. I fear it will take something drastic to occur before anyone will care to actually act.
