Thing is, imo, we do need to depopulate... Just not this way!

Just like the beast on the plain, mankind is at the mercy of this pale blue dot's ecosystem. A balance needs to be maintained, or we overgraze, which means the following season the hunger, disease and pestilence begins and reasserts that balance for us.

There's so many motives for an elite to rollout such an evil plan as the cull this pandemic may represent that it's foolish to dismiss the possibility.
